Chapter 293 Giant Gate Star Lord

Chapter 293 Giant Gate Star Lord

"That's wonderful!"

"Xiao Qi, what are you thinking about?"

After the wedding of Fox Five and Fox Sister ended, the Seventh Princess was taken back to the Yang Mansion by Yang Chan to rest.

Late at night, seeing Xiao Qi sitting on the steps gazing at the moon, Yang Chan went over and sat down with her.

"Chan'er," Xiao Qi smiled sweetly at Yang Chan, then turned to look at the sky and said softly, "It's nothing, it just feels so good. Fox Five and Fox Sister are together, it's so lively and fun." The sky wasn't quite as lively...

Yang Chan didn't think much of it and said with a smile, "They've been together for many years. Fox Five is a coward, cunning and greedy guy, it seems like there's nothing good about him. But he's devoted to Fox Sister. On the battlefield with the Shang Dynasty, every time there was danger, Fox Five wanted to hide, but if Fox Sister foolishly charged forward, he would stomp his feet and rush after her..."

Yang Chan shook her head as she spoke: "Fox Sister is also a silly girl. She's good in every way, except that she listens to Fox Five wholeheartedly. If Fox Five wanted to deceive her, he could easily fool her. Fortunately..."

Fortunately, they were sincere towards each other.

Xiao Qi said this with a smile, and Yang Chan nodded in agreement, "Yes, it's a sincere heart."

“Aunt and Uncle, Fox Five and Fox Sister,” Xiao Qi looked up at the night sky, then suddenly turned to Yang Chan and asked, “Chan’er, do you know what I sensed from you?”

"What?"

"Warmth, a warmth that the Heavenly Palace doesn't have."

“Xiao Qi…” Yang Chan looked at Xiao Qi with some worry and confusion.

Xiao Qi laughed: "Just kidding. Alright, it's getting late, let's go back and rest. This is my first time spending the night at the Yang residence."

...

After the wedding, everyone went their separate ways to begin their own cultivation. Yang Chan also returned to the Holy Mother Temple on Mount Hua, where she both protected the people and contemplated the stars.

“Holy Mother, there seems to be something amiss in a village at the foot of Mount Hua; a faint demonic aura is emanating from it.”

Upon hearing the mountain lord's report, Yang Chan frowned. If even the mountain lord, with his strength, couldn't see through it, then... Worried that the demonic energy might bring disaster to the people, Yang Chan transformed into a wisp of breeze and quickly drifted towards the village at the foot of the mountain.

Yang Chan concealed herself and quietly moved through the village, circling around without noticing anything unusual.

Just then, she heard the sound of villagers chatting nearby. She quietly approached and blended into the crowd. A young villager exclaimed, "Have you heard? That penniless cowherd is actually getting married! I wonder where this bride came from."

An older woman nearby chimed in, looking puzzled, "I know every single unmarried girl in this area. I haven't heard of any family wanting to marry her off. Maybe this woman comes from far away."

Another person gaped in surprise and guessed, "Could she have been abducted by a gigolo?"

Hearing this, Yang Chan's brow twitched; the demon hadn't been found yet. But she decided to first investigate the girl's situation; if she had truly been abducted, she wouldn't stand idly by.

The village was small, and Yang Chan quickly found the cowherd's house.

As soon as she stepped into the courtyard, she sensed an unusual aura, and her gaze instantly locked onto the old ox beside her. The old ox looked ordinary, yet it exuded a unique charm.

Just as Yang Chan was sizing up the old ox, it suddenly raised its head, looked at her warily, and uttered a human-like voice: "Who?"

So, is this the anomaly that the mountain lord failed to detect?

Yang Chan remained calm and fearless. A flash of light appeared around her, instantly revealing her true form.

Before she could introduce herself, Old Niu's expression changed drastically: "May I ask what brings the Third Holy Mother here?"

"Since you know me, you should also know my duty. I discovered something unusual about this village and came to investigate. You are quite skilled; what are you doing staying in this mortal realm?"

Faced with Yang Chan's questioning, the old ox revealed his honest and simple appearance again and replied, "Your Majesty, there is no need to worry. I have no intention of harming anyone. It's just that the Cowherd once saved me. So I'm staying here to accompany him for the rest of my life. I won't cause any trouble."

"lie!"

Suddenly, the tightly closed wooden door was kicked open, and a beautiful woman who had broken free of her ropes collapsed onto the doorway: "Don't believe him, the bull demon is utterly shameless!"

How did you get out?

The old ox panicked and tried to make amends: "I know you look down on Niulang for being poor, but a woman should follow her husband wherever he goes. Since you married him, you should live a peaceful life with him."

"Pooh!"

The woman completely untied the ropes binding her and stepped out, shouting, "When did I marry the Cowherd! I am a celestial fairy, how could I possibly fall for the Cowherd! Third Holy Mother, I am the Weaver Girl under the Queen Mother of the West. This old ox took advantage of me while I was bathing, and with the Cowherd, stole my celestial robes, causing me to lose all my magic powers and be unable to return to Heaven. He even tried to force me to become the Cowherd's wife!"

Seeing the Weaver Girl's eyes brimming with tears, Yang Chan frowned and quickly pulled her behind her, angrily scolding the old ox: "You damned ox demon, still claiming you haven't done anything wrong! Quickly hand over the Weaver Girl's fairy robe!"

"This!" the old ox refused. "The Weaver Girl has already been seen by the Cowherd, so she should become his wife!"

Yang Chan sneered: "You're trying to use worldly standards to judge immortals? Stop talking nonsense! Hand over your immortal robes now, or don't blame me for being ruthless!"

The old ox shrank back slightly, but stubbornly said, "If the Weaver Girl leaves, the Cowherd will not be able to find a wife. How can I repay her kindness?"

Yang Chan glared angrily and rebuked, "Who gave you permission to use the Weaver Girl to repay a debt of gratitude? What gives you the right to act like this? Based on gender, or on those outdated worldly rules?" Before she finished speaking, a flash of light appeared, and the Lotus Lantern appeared in her hand, its brilliant light reflecting her resolute expression.

Just then, the Cowherd rushed back. Seeing the scene, he anxiously reached out to pull at the Weaver Girl, shouting, "My wife!"

However, Yang Chan waved her sleeve, and a magical force, like an invisible barrier, repelled the Cowherd.

The cowherd stumbled and fell to the ground, then scrambled to the old ox's side, crying out in a pitiful voice, "Old ox, what should we do!"

The old ox let out a helpless moo and sighed, "I can't beat the Third Holy Mother." Upon hearing this, the Cowherd's eyes immediately turned red, and he stubbornly shouted, "I've already seen the Weaver Girl's body, if she doesn't marry me, who else can she marry?"

Yang Chan trembled with rage and roared, "This is utterly absurd!" With a wave of her hand, a burst of magical power shot out, instantly hoisting the Cowherd high into the air. Then, with another wave, she locked the Cowherd and the old ox together in the cowshed.

Yang Chan's anger hadn't subsided. She raised her hand and unleashed a spell at Niulang, instantly blasting his clothes to shreds. Niulang cried out in alarm and frantically grabbed some nearby straw to cover himself.

Yang Chan sneered, "Now that your body has been seen by Lao Niu, you might as well marry him!"

The Cowherd was both anxious and angry, shouting, "How can that be the same? I'm a man!" Yang Chan interrupted him mercilessly, "There's no difference! Right and wrong, good and evil, cause and effect, never distinguish between men and women!"

Having said that, Yang Chan ignored the man and the ox, and used her magic to create a fierce wind that turned the Cowherd's house upside down. Soon, she found the Weaver Girl's fairy robe. Yang Chan then took the Weaver Girl and flew away in a streak of light.

As she left, Yang Chan, still seething with anger, turned and struck out with her palm. With a deafening crash, the Cowherd's house collapsed.

Before long, the surrounding villagers came running at the sound. Inside the cowshed, the naked cowherd was embracing the old cow tightly. Outside the cowshed, the big red flower used for the wedding was hanging, swaying precariously in the wind.

Now everyone knew that the Cowherd was going to marry his own old ox. For a moment, the crowd looked at each other in bewilderment, whispering amongst themselves.

After seeing off the grateful Weaver Girl, Yang Chan, having calmed down, sat down again and looked at Tianxuan Star, now with even deeper insights.

"Tianxuan, the position of the female lead... governs all things, controls right and wrong, and is not concerned with gender, but with good and evil, with the law, and with treating everyone equally..."

Yang Chan closed her eyes, and soon starlight filled her body. Tianxuan Star shone brightly, and the Jumen Star Lord was formed.
