Chapter 51 Raven's Transition
After dealing with Damian, Wen Yue gained a better understanding of the full picture and key details of the incident.
Regarding the time-space teleporter, Damian tells the player that it was given to him by a mysterious person, and that the mysterious person also told him about the way to save Dick in this world.
The space-time teleporter is spherical in shape, with a vast galaxy swirling and undulating within its translucent crystal sphere. The tray on its base is perfectly closed and sealed, and in a hidden corner unknown to anyone, a bat pattern is subtly engraved, only detectable by touch, silently signifying the identity of its maker.
Unbeknownst to everyone, Wen Yue was forced into a resonance state. Beneath layers of concealed energy, the players discovered the long-lost familiar presence—the aura of the World Consciousness. Good heavens, the players finally knew what the World Consciousness had been up to these past few days—abducting Damian from other worlds?
Having tricked Damian into coming to this world, how should Wen Yue tell the world consciousness that she wasn't actually a trafficker and that it was possible for her to come willingly?
There's also this time-space teleporter. Wen Yue is very curious about where the World Consciousness got it from. The subtle bat symbol on it can't be hidden from the player's perspective in World Resonance mode. I wonder which world's Batman was robbed and the time-space teleporter fell into the hands of the World Consciousness.
“You know Damian’s world very well.” Damian was lost in thought, and the Batcave was silent. Batman broke the silence.
“I just happened to have seen their world before.” Wen Yue recalled her ordinary daily routine of flipping through comics before her transmigration, as if it were just yesterday. “I made a brief record of their world in the Bat Computer database. You can search for the Multiverse folder, B-39 Injustice League.”
“It’s already number 39 in category B, and I’ve even seen it before,” Jason chuckled, his fingers unconsciously tapping the armrest of his chair. He sat in his computer chair, resting his chin on his hand, deep in thought. “But it seems you’ve observed quite a lot of the world… It must be category A, so are there category C and even more?”
"Observation? What observation? Watch your words. I just happened to have seen it published." Wen Yue sighed and explained helplessly, "Besides, this world is quite famous, so I just happen to know about it. I only had a general idea of the categories A and C, and I only mentioned it briefly."
“Famous.” Dick pondered the word, then patted Tim beside him and asked, “You know him, Tim?”
Tim shook his head decisively: "Unheard of. I'm just an ordinary person. How could I know about other worlds? Oh no, I should call them other multiverses. That's what Bruce just named them."
All eyes turned to the player, Wen Yue, head drooping, on the verge of tears: "No, believe me, I don't really know much about these things, I've only heard about the relevant settings..."
Before the player could finish speaking, Batman interrupted him: "Finding your hidden folder and cracking your encryption took me about three minutes. Well done."
"Encrypted?" Wen Yue suddenly remembered that she had asked the world consciousness to help hide and encrypt all the folders. She smiled apologetically and said, "I had forgotten about that. I will definitely pay attention next time."
Batman quickly scanned the documents, his gaze focused on the large display screen of the Batcomputer: "In addition to the A, B, and C folders, there is Attachment 1: Explanation of the Universe Numbering System, Attachment 2: Basic Structure of the Multiverse, Attachment 3: List of Ceiling Characters in the Multiverse, Attachment 4: Origin of the Multiverse, and Attachment 5: The Theory of the Universe Trinity."
Batman opened Attachment 1: Explanation of the Universe Numbering System. "Class A: High-Risk Worlds, Class B: Difficult Worlds, Class C: Normal Worlds. The classification is simple and clear. What are the criteria for judgment?"
The Bat computer's monitor, excluding the main controller, occupied an entire wall, and everyone watched it with great interest.
Players will never be told that Category A, high-risk worlds, are worlds inhabited by members of the Dark Knights, where Barbatos personally intervened and caused various worlds to fall into darkness, with the most famous being the Batman Who Laughs. Category B, difficult worlds, are worlds where the Justice League has gone astray. Category C, normal worlds, are worlds in the normal timeline.
Wen Yue rushed over to stop her, "Just look at the B-39 document, don't flip through anything else, please respect personal privacy..." She was afraid that Batman would see the player's comments after reading the comic, those extremely outrageous personal rants.
What a joke it is to expect the control freak Batman to respect personal privacy! Batman ignores this and continues to click on Attachment 2: The Basic Composition of the Multiverse, which summarizes: "Matter creates the multiverse, antimatter creates the antimatter universe, dark matter creates the dark multiverse... The world is created by these three types of matter."
"Bruce, where did you hide these files? I've never seen them when I used the Batcomputer!" Jason grabbed the player with great interest and made a request: "Give me permission quickly, I want to see them too."
"Alright, alright, we'll add the permissions for everyone later. Now, stop Batman! Didn't we agree to only watch B-39?" Wen Yue tried her best to stop him.
I didn't tell you that.
Having cracked the encryption himself, Batman was determined to see it all. His brain raced as he noted down Attachments 3 and 4, before opening the last attachment: The Trinity Theory of the Universe.
"The Trinity theory posits that Existence, Origin, and Void are the same concept. Existence is considered to be God, the Origin is the source of all things, and Void is chaos and emptiness. Regarding this, I have..."
The folders opened one after another, but the contents were obscured because they exceeded the screen limits, preventing anyone from seeing more. At this moment, Wen Yue finally regained control of the computer and closed all the files. Her tense face finally relaxed, and she let out a soft breath. The player brought up the B-39 file, her tone softening to a more relaxed level: "Alright, let's get back to the main topic and take a look at Damian's universe."
Unable to find the player's ramblings at the end of the last document, Wen Yue, having escaped the brink of social death, stood up again.
Regarding the Injustice League (B-39), player records only contain a few brief entries: "The Joker orchestrated the conflict; Superman accidentally killed his wife Lois Lane and their unborn child; Superman broke down and killed the Joker, thus forming the Injustice League. The League split, and Batman formed the Rebel Alliance to fight against it. Superman killed... and Superman degenerated into Injustice Superman. The first year of the Injustice League was a turning point of reflection between yesterday and the future; the second year was an interstellar war of will and fear; the third year was the ultimate battle between magic and monsters; the fourth year was the breakthrough of the siege by the gods and the League; and the fifth year was the finale, with the Rebel Alliance bringing in the Justice League from Earth One."
"What's with Superman killing people? Where did it all end? Why did it suddenly start summarizing?" Jason refreshed the page a few times with no change, confirming it wasn't a system bug and that there really was only this short, information-packed text. Speechless, he turned back to ask.
"Superman killed Martian Manhunter, Captain Atom, Green Arrow, and Black Canary," Damian stated calmly. "Now, the Injustice League is about to enter its second year."
"Not even the second year yet? Bruce's got a good head start." Dick scratched his head. "Which Justice League is on Earth One? They ended the Injustice League's rule."
All eyes turned to the player.
Wen Yue shook her head vigorously: "I don't know, how would I know? Don't ask me." Where do players find Earth One? In the comics?
"Tch, fine, don't tell me then." Jason scoffed.
The superhero from another world stood in the corner, too afraid to say a word.
"Alright, you've seen the world documents about Damian that I know. Let's leave it at that and stop investigating." Wen Yue forcefully put an end to the matter.
Dick has fallen into a deep sleep inside Damian's body, and Wen Yue has no way to wake him up for the time being.
The repair work on the time-space teleporter was left to Batman and Superman. Wen Yue, who couldn't understand a thing from beginning to end and felt like she was looking at astronomical symbols, slipped out of the Batcave. This time, the player wasn't slacking off; she was genuinely powerless. As an ordinary person, she could only watch as the experts operated the incomprehensible instruments and facilities, repairing and testing the converter. It was supposed to be her own Batcave, but the experts had developed and unearthed new ways to play with it.
(Actually, players used to leave it to gather dust because they didn't know how to use it. This is the correct way to use Batman.)
The following day, Gotham's sky was shrouded in a gloomy, oppressive haze, the somber color matching the city's overall gray tone, a storm brewing.
Wen Yue went to pick up Dick from school. Tim had already returned home. Mrs. Drake would be home tonight so the family could reunite.
School had been over for quite some time, and Wen Yue, who was waiting in the car, was looking on anxiously but couldn't see Dick. She couldn't help but mutter to herself: What's going on? Do foreign teachers also keep students after school? Is this the same both at home and abroad?
Just as Wen Yue was about to make a phone call, Dick finally appeared beside the vehicle, holding a little girl's hand and firmly saying to the player, "Bruce, I want to adopt her."
"?" Wen Yue couldn't believe her ears. Was this spoken in English? Her foreign language skills probably still had a lot of room for improvement; she needed to study further to enhance her comprehension. "Tell me, how can one child adopt another?" "Are these two the same age?"
"Where did you kidnap this child? Give her back to her parents!" Wen Yue looked around anxiously, afraid that the girl's parents would discover that their child had been abducted and rush up to demand an explanation.
“Her mother is gone, and her father is a monster. She wants to escape her father and wants a home. I am willing to be her family.” Dick said resolutely, his face radiating the brilliance of a successor to justice.
"What do you mean?" Wen Yue became serious. The player Batman sensed the criminal's presence and crouched down to ask the girl, "Is your father a demon?"
The girl tilted her head and stated calmly, "Yes, my father is a demon. This is not an adjective, but a fact. His name is Sannomiya."
“Sannomiya? You’re not called Raven, are you?” Upon recognizing the familiar name, Wen Yue’s memory triggered the keyword.
"You know me?" The girl with no connections or social standing showed a rare look of surprise.
“I’ve heard about it.” Wen Yue brushed aside the bangs under the raven’s hood, revealing a sparkling red gem embedded in the girl’s forehead. “You are a half-demon, the portal through which your father came to Earth.”
"But your magic is very strong. You trapped Sannomiya inside the crystal on her forehead. Is Sannomiya still inside the crystal now?" Wen Yue asked solemnly. If Sannomiya breaks free from the seal, the difficulty of the "Demon Invasion Earth" instance will skyrocket, something no single player can handle alone.
"He's still here, but I can't hold him for long." Raven could sense that after losing the support of the temple's magic array, the power of Sannomiya breaking through the seal was about to become equal to her magic.
Wen Yue breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing this. As long as it was still there, that was good. She could simply modify and add underlying code to reinforce the seal later. Compared to creating a sealing array from scratch or sealing the Three Palaces Demon from zero, the difficulty was on a completely different level.
Raven's mother was originally a young girl controlled by a cult and sacrificed to a demon. After being deceived by the demon and escaping, she was taken in by the temple and gave birth to Raven. Raven grew up in Azalas until the goddess Aza died. The magic protecting the temple weakened, allowing Raven to be discovered by her father, who found out that she was the daughter of the demon Trisolaran.
Having witnessed the destruction of Azarath, Raven's inner demons erupted due to emotional turmoil, imprisoning Sanguine within the crystal. However, without the support of Azarath, Raven's demonic power could not be sustained, and Sanguine's demonic nature was already stirring, poised to break free of the seal. But as long as Sanguine remained unsealed, the player was confident they could keep the demon trapped in the crystal forever.
"Are you thinking of forming the Teen Titans?" Little Dick's initiative is amazing; he even brought Raven to his home, but the Titans' base is not yet built, so he's in a hurry.
(Raven is a member of the Teen Titans, and Dick is the founder, creator, and captain of the Teen Titans.)
Dick looked at him with a puzzled expression. "What does this have to do with forming the Teen Titans?"
Huh?
Almost forgot, Wen Yue suddenly remembered that when Dick went to Titan, Raven was still imprisoned by the Justice League, and at that time, Dick turned her into a vampire. Raven only turned back into a human before the player left, so it seems that Dick never saw Raven at all. What happened today was purely by chance.
"It's irrelevant at the moment, let nature take its course." Wen Yue smiled mysteriously, also experiencing the joy of being a riddle teller.
Wen Yue placed Raven at Wayne Manor. With Batman and Superman there, the child's safety was assured. The sealing of Raven couldn't be rushed. Wen Yue planned to use her omniscience to conduct research later, first having Batman assess Raven's condition—something the original Batman from this world was familiar with.
As a player who keeps their word, the next step is to take Dick to Wayne Corporation to retrieve the promised electric batons. The 50,000 volts of current will only cause pain, not death; they're perfect for kids who don't know their own strength. The Fourth Calamity demonstrates that players' indulgence has no morals or limits.
However, the player's Schrödinger's morality still compels Wen Yue to do what every parent should do: instruct Dick not to use electric shocks indiscriminately. Faced with the eager Dick, the player promises to take him on night patrols to fight crime with a caltrop, earning the approval and praise of the adorable Sweetheart Wings.
As for those unfortunate criminals who are about to be electrocuted and beaten up tonight, under Batman's shadow, they can only accept their bad luck.

A note from the author:
The time-space converter came from two Batmen, who were both very filial sons. They handed the converter over to the World Consciousness, who then gave it to another Damian in their world.
