Chapter 53 A Life-or-Death Situation, you bastard, are you just going to chase me down?

Chapter 53 A Life-or-Death Situation, you bastard, are you just going to chase me down?

After sending the penguin into the upgraded Arkham Iron Bucket, Wen Yue took Dick on a night patrol and returned to Wayne Manor. She adopted the demeanor of a matriarch, urging Dick to go to bed, and of course, the manor's new resident, the raven, couldn't be left out.

Exhausted Batman still has to work through the night, and the Batcave remains brightly lit.

Wen Yue nestled in her computer chair, not even wanting to take off her uniform. She slid her wheeled chair up to Batman, who was intently investigating the location of the nuclear bomb. "Any clues? Whether it's the nuclear bomb that Bane stole or the mysterious person who bought it."

Batman's eyes were fixed on the computer screen, his fingers typing incessantly, and he shook his head solemnly: "No."

"Superman, do you have a way?" Wen Yue shifted her hopes, hoping that Superman's super hearing, super vision, and other superpowers could come in handy.

"Most of the buildings in Gotham contain lead, and I can't know much more." Superman's answer shattered any hope, and the player slumped back into his seat.

"Then this city will be nuked flat." Players won't have to worry about it anymore, hahaha... Wen Yue let out a heart-wrenching wail.

"What peace?" Jason asked, stepping out of the Batcave elevator, his tone revealing curiosity.

“Nuclear pacification is short for pacifying with a nuclear bomb.” Wen Yue rubbed her forehead, sighed, and then joked with Jason: “For example, if I had a nuclear bomb right now, and you rebelled against your father again, I would nuke the entire Gotham City.”

“Tch, who doesn’t have that?” Jason replied with a disdainful look, his calm statement containing a surprising underlying message.

Wen Yue slowly turned around, as if she had solved the case. The player rested his chin on his hands, revealing a wise look, and said in a deep voice, "I guess you bought your nuclear bomb from the Penguin."

"How did you know?" Jason asked in astonishment. "I even disguised my identity, and I only bought it recently. Your information network is quite impressive."

“Great, now we only need Chabain.” Wen Yue turned to Batman and said. The workload was cut in half, and the players were happy again.

“Nuclear bombs aren’t cheap. Where did you get the money?” Damian’s brow furrowed slightly as he noticed the blind spot.

Jason pointed at the player, his tone of entitlement subtly laced with Versailles: "Don't you have the unlimited black card Bruce gave you?"

Damian, whose allowance was strictly controlled and who only received five dollars a week, pursed his lips and remained silent: "..."

Oh no, it got installed on Jason, but Damian didn't.

Batman cast a disapproving glance: Behind every bratty kid is a bratty parent. The Bat-Family of this world, Gotham's greatest enemy.

Wen Yue's eyes darted around, and she casually flipped through the documents, making a rustling sound, as if to say, "I'm busy working, don't bother me."

Don't be too hard on yourself and your family. Sometimes, try to find reasons in other people's lives: If the Penguin wasn't for sale, why would Jason have bought it?

Conclusion: The Penguins are too much troublemakers; the suppliers deserve to die!

The aftereffects of using God's authority haven't fully healed yet, but time is of the essence. The current situation requires the player to make a desperate attempt to utilize an omniscient perspective. Finding the trail of Bane's nuclear bomb and reinforcing Raven's seal on Sangu are both crucial, but cannot be done simultaneously. After careful consideration and weighing the severity of the consequences, the player decides to prioritize reinforcing the seal, and if there's still energy left after reinforcing the seal, to pursue both simultaneously.

Bane's target is Batman; the nuclear bomb is merely a tool to threaten him. If Batman appears, the nuclear bomb in Bane's possession might not actually explode. But Trigon is different. As a demon eyeing Earth with predatory intent, he's no pushover. If he truly breaks free of his seal, it's not a problem the player alone can solve. The Dark Justice League hasn't been formed yet, the player doesn't know a sorcerer like Zatana, and there's no trace of Constantine. Finding a professional to solve the problem is impossible. After careful consideration, the player begins preparations for sealing him away.

Wen Yue knocked on the door and found that Raven was still awake. The player quickly entered omniscient mode. Familiar source logic appeared, familiar magical runes, familiar code. The player dynamically increased the number of loops in the outer nested layers, using empty loops and time-consuming operations to increase the execution time for breaking the seal. Specific performance tests will be conducted based on the actual breakthrough effect in the Three Palaces. The seal reinforcement is complete. As long as Raven doesn't become emotionally agitated and cause her magic to go out of control, the seal will not be a problem in the short term.

But the player has a problem. Now the player is filled with regret. When they asked the world's consciousness to repair the aura, why didn't they ask it to repair this body as well? The CPU and hardware are incompatible! The cheat is powerful, but the body is malfunctioning.

After a night of struggle between her soul and body, Wen Yue finally managed to squeeze back into her body as dawn broke. The player lay sprawled on the bed, utterly exhausted. (Image: Salty Fish Spitting Out Its Soul)

After resting for a day, Wen Yue perked up again in the evening, thinking that using the omniscient perspective again wouldn't be a bad idea. Just as the players were eager to try it out, Batman brought good news: the location of the nuclear bomb had been found.

“But tonight’s patrol requires you to be as conspicuous as possible to attract attention. Clark and I will deal with the nuclear bomb as soon as possible.” Batman donned his gear and prepared to act with Superman.

"Leave it to me." Wen Yue readily agreed, unaware of how unbearable the night patrol would be.

As night deepens, neon lights illuminate the cityscape, their glow mingling with the lights of skyscrapers to create a sharply defined Gothic nightscape. But on the other side of the city, in the shadows and narrow, dark alleyways untouched by the light, crime breeds.

Edward Lemond, heir to the Lemond Chemicals conglomerate, is kidnapped on his way home from school and disappears. That same night, a ransom of millions is offered, and the Lemond family, the mayor, the police, and the FBI all agree to pay it to get the boy back. This kidnapping operation was meticulously planned, and its time management and execution efficiency far surpassed that of the three kidnappers who had been kidnapped by the other party.

The player, Batman, is on the move, tracking down the kidnapped Edward. Inside an abandoned chemical warehouse, a team of burly, well-trained mercenaries guards a boy who is bound hand and foot; someone has spent a fortune to assemble this team.

Wen Yue moved nimbly across the roof beams, her retinal projection system marking all enemies. Her tranquilizer darts shot out instantly, striking each enemy precisely. One by one, the mercenaries collapsed into a deep sleep, and the player ended the battle silently.

Wen Yue leaped down, landing with her knees slightly bent, and stood steadily, deftly untying the boy's restraints.

"Batman!" Edward cheered, unable to hide the joy in his eyes. Wen Yue made a shushing gesture and prepared to lead the boy away.

A slight tremor in my heartstrings, a keen sixth sense alerting me to changes in the surrounding environment, and a sense of crisis ripples in the deep pool of my heart, creeping closer like a shadow.

Wen Yue suddenly looked up and saw a figure holding a sniper rifle on a distant high-rise building opposite her, facing her from afar. The player's position was exactly where the gun was pointed.

Wen Yue discovered it too late; the bullet had already pierced through the gray air and arrived.

The attacker had a deep understanding of Batman and aimed at the shoulder, one of the weakest points in the Batsuit. The boy was in the very center of the warehouse, and the open space where Batman was standing next to him left him with no way to escape.

Wen Yue moved her body to the limit to dodge, but the bullets still pierced through her armor and entered her flesh. There was no time to think; the remaining bullets followed one after another.

Between the left and right, Wen Yue took a different approach and chose the top. The player, Batman, used a grappling hook to leap onto the roof beams, using the difference in perspective and the roof as cover.

Wen Yue clutched her bleeding shoulder, her body tense and her expression grave. Few villains could hit Batman, and the player happened to know Elliott, who had recently escaped from prison. AKA Silent was not only a master manipulator but also a sharpshooter capable of hitting Batman's batarangs.

The meticulously planned kidnapping, the open environment surrounding the victim, the bullets aimed at the weak points of the suit—all these details reveal the Silence's distinct personal style. This was a premeditated ambush, a sniper operation prepared by Silence specifically for Batman.

The warmth seeped into the black gloves, and drops of blood dripped from between her fingers, leaving mottled bloodstains on the ground. Wen Yue maintained a calm expression on her face, but inside she was grimacing with pain. As an ordinary player, she had never suffered such torment in her original world.

If this guy remained silent and attacked Wayne, that would be understandable, but what grudge could he possibly hold against Batman? This action is baffling. They could have talked things out; if there's something to say, speak up instead of resorting to guns.

Player: Don't mess with new accounts.

Silence: appearing only once.

We acted rashly in this do-or-die situation.

Smoke billowed and spread, instantly enveloping a gray curtain from which no figures could be seen. Under the cover of the smoke bomb, Wen Yue quietly escaped with the boy.

After handing Edward over to the FBI, Wen Yue made a tactical retreat to provide emergency treatment, as the players were still losing health.

Navigating through the chaotic layout of buildings and the intricate network of alleyways, Batman's black figure vanished from the battlefield, quietly slipping away.

However, one problem was followed by another. A massive, muscular figure blocked the player's path, its cold eyes and imposing presence, along with the fluorescent green IV tubing attached to its back, identifying it as the newcomer.

Where did this semi-trailer come from?

Damn it, you want to chase me down and kill me?

Okay, if we lose this round, we can restart it.

Seeing the situation was turning bad, the player almost left. "Brother, well, I have urgent business and don't want to leave so soon. Can you let Vadashi go home first? Let's discuss it and reschedule for another day."

"You've teamed up with Silence." The voice changer maintained Batman's calm, deep, hoarse voice, and Wen Yue suppressed the urge to run away.

"I don't mind a win-win situation before my prey is caught. I've been waiting for this moment for a long time. It's a pity you've been caught, Batman." A massive figure lurking in the shadows loomed over the player, its imposing size slowly closing in.

“Bane.” If she had a choice, Wen Yue would really like to banish Bane and Silent, these two villains who love to plot behind the scenes and are obsessed with causing chaos in the entire city, to space and bury them deep in the earth, so that they are both far away from the players’ workplace.

“It’s been so hard to see you. I thought you were going to keep hiding forever.” Bane’s eyes, hidden behind his mask, were brimming with barely suppressed excitement. After tonight, he would take over this Sin City in Batman’s place, and the thought filled him with power. “I will destroy you, Batman, both mentally and physically. I can’t wait.”

“Then I must advise you to think twice before you act.” Player Batman responded to every word. Even if he was about to be beaten up and blood was dripping from his wounds, the player could not lose the verbal battle; this was Wen Yue’s pride as the Fourth Calamity.

Without uttering a word, Bain moved with lightning speed, his massive, muscular body charging toward the player like an arrow released from a bow, brandishing his fists the size of cooking pots to demonstrate his social skills.

In truth, Wen Yue also wanted to demonstrate her social skills to Bane. What would he do if she threw an absorbent stun gun at him right now? But as Batman, Wen Yue wouldn't do that unless absolutely necessary. After all, Bane doesn't have the same thick health bar as Clayface, nor does he possess healing factors in his blood like Deathstroke. He probably wouldn't withstand the powerful electric current from the stun gun; if he were to collapse on the spot, the player would be crying and begging him not to die. In other words, Bane's arrogance at this moment is entirely due to the player's mercy.

A sharp gust of wind grazed her cheek, and Wen Yue took a half-step back, narrowly avoiding Bane's punch. Bane nimbly changed his attack, grabbing Batman's fiber cape with his backhand. The player froze, as if the world had been paused. However, before the smile on Bane's face could fully bloom, the fluttering cape fell to the ground by the force of his grip. He was suddenly stunned, staring blankly at the lightly floating cape in his hand.

Dumbfounded, aren't you? To guard against Bane's move, Wen Yue deliberately loosened the cloak buckles so they would fall off with a single pull.
