Chapter 6 Why don't you give it a try? (Part 1)

"Are you still in pain? Did you twist anything?" Yongqi's tone carried a hint of anxiety. Actually, Yongqi still cared about Anke, after all, she was the younger sister he had watched grow up. Also, no matter what, it all started because of Xiaoyanzi, so he still had to show some concern.

"Just a minor scrape on my arm and a twisted ankle. Nothing else," An Ke said casually, as if she weren't the one who was injured.

"That's good, that's good." Little Swallow patted her chest and breathed a sigh of relief.

Only then did Anke turn her attention to Xiao Yanzi. She had big eyes, and her face was brimming with collagen.

When Xiao Yanzi saw that An Ke had turned her attention to her, she took another deep breath. She was very nervous, like a taut string that would break at any moment.

"You must be the famous Princess Huanzhu, right?" An Ke stared intently at Xiao Yanzi.

The only person who could make the Fifth Prince so anxious and have so many people accompany him is Xiao Yanzi.

"It's...it's me. I'm sorry I hurt you." Little Swallow's brows were furrowed, and even her tone of voice was cautious. She was afraid that saying one more word would upset him.

This is probably the kind of treatment even Yongqi couldn't get from Xiao Yanzi. (Extremely cautious tone)

"Then why were you there?" Anke asked with a smile in her eyes.

"I...I..." Xiao Yanzi said, then looked at the palace maid standing behind her.

An Ke glanced behind Xiao Yanzi. According to the plot, Ziwei should be behind Xiao Yanzi.

Ziwei was dressed as a palace maid, and her skin was quite good. However, she kept her head down, making it impossible to see her expression.

"Hey you in the back, lift your head and let this princess see you." An Ke gestured with her chin toward Xiao Yanzi's back, mainly because she was also curious about what Ziwei looked like.

When Xiao Yanzi saw that the encore was going to make Ziwei look up, she thought it was going to make things difficult for Ziwei, so she immediately stood in front of Ziwei. "It's all...it's all because of me that you got hurt. It has nothing to do with anyone else."

Upon hearing this, Anke frowned. Did she really sound like a tigress?

Xingxing didn't care about anything else; she was always the first to object to anything that would make her mistress lose face. "Princess Huanzhu, the princess just wanted to see what the maid behind you looked like. She had no other intentions. You don't need to be so paranoid."

Anke's tightly furrowed brows finally relaxed. She glanced at Xingxing with satisfaction; indeed, after spending so much time with her, Xingxing understood the meaning behind her every move.

Xingxing understood the meaning in Anke's eyes. Xingxing proudly puffed out her chest. Of course, she didn't need to mention how long she had been following Miss Anke.

The air fell silent for a moment after those words were spoken.

Xiao Yanzi looked embarrassed. Ziwei was obscured, so her expression couldn't be seen. Erkang breathed a sigh of relief, while Yongqi glared at Xingxing before looking at Xiao Yanzi again. Ertai didn't need attention; he was just a plot device. (Because Anke felt he was practically invisible in the show, basically just a minor character who liked Xiao Yanzi. He only caught Anke's eye when he stood up for his brother after learning his brother was going to marry Saiya.)

However, Ertai was behind Yongqi and Erkang at that moment, and was completely ignored by Anke.

Little did they know, a strange look flickered in Ertai's eyes. There was doubt and a hint of curiosity.

"This servant Ziwei greets Princess Yong'an." Ziwei gave a proper bow.

"Get up! Raise your head and let this princess take a good look at you." An Ke's eyes were full of amusement. While watching TV, she'd thought Ziwei was a bit...unpleasant. She wondered if the Ziwei here was the same as the one she'd seen.

Ziwei slowly raised her head, her heart filled with trepidation, nervousness, and excitement. As for why she was excited, only she herself probably knew the answer.

She truly is a wealthy heiress! She does bear a resemblance to Yongqi.

Large eyes, curved eyelashes, a straight nose, and a small mouth. She gives off an air of refined elegance and scholarly grace.

"I'm perfectly fine; I wouldn't have fallen too far. There's no need for you all to come and visit me," An Ke said listlessly.

It was clearly an attempt to get rid of him. Anke was indeed quite tired. After all, she was considered injured today and had been busy all day. Naturally, she was exhausted.

Then, I listened to all that nonsense. I'd long since lost patience. What's the point of saying so much? Aren't I the one who gets hurt? Aren't I the one who suffers the pain?

Yongqi had spent a few years with Anke when he was young, so he naturally understood what she meant. "Then we won't disturb your rest any longer. By the way, this bottle of wound medicine is from Physician Chang. Apply it to your scrapes; it will help." Yongqi took a bottle out of his sleeve. The high-quality medicine bottle was placed on the table.

"I still remember when you were little, you got a scrape from practicing martial arts. You never cried, no matter how hard the training was, but that day you burst into tears, startling all the servants in the Imperial Garden." Yongqi recalled the past with a smile in his eyes. "At the time, Father Emperor was quite frightened. He immediately summoned all the imperial physicians to examine you, thinking you had injured yourself somewhere. Later, he found out that you were afraid of having a scar."

"This medicine is very effective for abrasions. It won't leave scars, and it won't hurt much when you apply it. You... use it when you sleep," Yongqi said awkwardly.

Because of Yongqi's memories, Anke also recalled her days in the palace. Those were beautiful memories too! She turned to look at Yongqi.

Time flies like an arrow shot from a bow; time passes in the blink of an eye. The little boy who practiced his skills under the sun as a child has now grown into a handsome young man.

"Thank you, Fifth Brother." In a daze, they seemed to have become their younger selves again, caring for them as an older brother would for his younger sister.

Yongqi smiled with satisfaction.

"You get some rest. We'll come see you again tomorrow," Xiao Yanzi said familiarly. In Xiao Yanzi's mind, since this was Yongqi's sister, she was Xiao Yanzi's friend. After all, a friend's friend is a friend! Besides, they had become friends after a fight.

An Ke frowned again at the term "Little Swallow." Although she had run a martial arts school in her previous life, she was used to being a loner and didn't like strangers trying to get close to her.

Continuing the habits from her previous life, An Ke wasn't very familiar with Xiao Yanzi yet. The fact that Xiao Yanzi addressed her so familiarly made her feel a little awkward and uncomfortable.

But it's getting late. It's really not a good time to argue with them about the form of address. Getting rid of them first is the priority.
