Chapter 87: Punished for leaking the secret?

Su Honglin recalled that day when Xinxin saw Dongchen, she kicked and beat him, and kept saying that he pushed her grandma.

Although he felt that Xinxin's behavior was abnormal at that time, he did not take it seriously.

Soon Xinxin developed a high fever and was in a coma for several days. Is this the punishment we just saw for leaking the secret?

Su Honglin saw Xinxin staggering in through his tearful eyes. She stretched out her chubby little hands to wipe Su Honglin's tears: "Grandpa, don't cry, be good! I will avenge you when I grow up, don't cry, don't cry!"

Su Honglin touched Xinxin's chubby little face and said, "Grandpa knows you tried your best. Grandma's life span has come to an end, and no one can keep her. Grandpa just wants his little granddaughter to be healthy and happy."

"Dad, get up and eat some porridge. You haven't eaten anything for several days. How can we be at ease?"

Su Qingqing stood in front of Su Honglin's bed, holding a bowl of millet porridge. "Don't worry, Xinxin is fine. She's playing at home!"

Since my mother's funeral, my father has been lying in bed for two days without eating or drinking.

Su Honglin sat up, took the bowl and drank a mouthful of porridge himself:

"I'm fine now. Don't worry, go back and see Xinxin! By the way, did your third brother report to the police station today?"

Su Qingqing picked up a piece of cucumber pickle for her father:

"I did. It's quite strange to say, but the person who specifically asked for my third brother was because my third brother caught a guy eating and dashing right in front of him. At that time, he asked what my third brother's name was, and we all thought he was just asking casually, but who knew he would actually do it."

Su Honglin nodded: "That's good. I don't have to look for a job anymore."

Su Qingqing glanced upstairs and said, "Dad, why don't you stay at my house? I'm worried about you being at home. I always feel that my mother's death was not an accident."

Su Honglin coughed twice and said, "Let's not talk about the past. I'm not going anywhere, you don't have to worry about me. I've lived here for most of my life, and I can't get used to living anywhere else."

Su Qingqing looked embarrassed: "Dad, what are you going to do with your meal? My mom used to cook for me, so why don't I come back and cook for you?"

"Why bother with so much trouble? I'll start learning to cook for myself tomorrow. Just make money and take good care of Xinxin, don't worry about me."

After Su Qingqing took care of her father and finished his meal, she hurried home. Although Xinxin was used to being alone at home, Qingqing was still worried.

When I got outside, I heard Sui Huaian shouting for help in the house: "Xinxin, please save me quickly, Coke and Chicken Wings, please spare my life! I really didn't mean to..."

When Su Qingqing walked in, she saw Sui Huaian lying on the floor. The ragdoll and the golden shaded cat were dragging him towards the cat bowl, one biting the sleeve of his clothes and the other biting his trouser leg.

Little Xinxin laughed non-stop: "Uncle, I can't save you!"

"What's going on? Coke, chicken wings, what are you two doing? Stop it now."

When they heard Su Qingqing's voice, the two cats stopped, looked at Qingqing pitifully, then looked at the cat bowl, and meowed a few times.

Xinxin quickly moved her short legs and ran towards her mother, diving into Su Qingqing's arms, complaining to her mother with her little mouth:

"Uncle, step on the cat bowl and the cat food spilled! Coke and Chicken Wings are angry and bite Dudu."

Sui Huaian got up from the ground with a smile:

"I didn't mean to. I was just playing hide-and-seek with Xinxin and accidentally stepped on the cat food bowl. It's not my fault. Can't I just pick it up for you?"

Sui Huaian said as he hurried over to pick up the cat food on the ground: "Where have you been? Why did you leave Xinxin alone at home?"

Su Qingqing put Xinxin down and took off her coat while curiously asking Sui Huaian, "How did you get in? Xinxin won't open the door to outsiders."

Sui Huaian boasted with a face that deserved a beating: "Xinxin knew I was not an outsider. I gave the order outside and Xinxin opened the door for me without asking a single question."

Sui Huaian said this while winking at Xinxin and trying his best to please her.

Unexpectedly, Xinxin ruthlessly exposed him: "Uncle, please, Xinbao, it's hissing outside, hissing, cold..."

Xinxin said this as she turned around on the spot, stomped her little feet on the ground a few times in a very professional manner, poked her two chubby little hands at each other, and then brought them to her mouth and blew on them.

Sui Huaian hurriedly picked up Xinxin and said, "Uncle, I give in. I just waited outside the door for too long and was freezing cold, so I begged you to let me in! Please at least give me some face!"

Xinxin patted Sui Huaian's face and giggled non-stop: "Who told you to say that the names of Coke and Chicken Wings are not nice? I just came up with the names myself."

"Oh, so you were the one who named them! What a great name! It sounds appetizing. Wow, Xinxin, you're amazing! I'll give you a big chicken drumstick as a reward at noon!"

When Cola and Chicken Wings heard that Xinxin had chicken legs, they hurried over and rubbed against Sui Huaian's trouser legs, wagging their tails and barking at Sui Huaian from time to time.

Sui Huaian looked at the soft little baby in his arms and the two little cuties beside him who were trying their best to please him.

Suddenly I thought how nice it would be if this peaceful time could last forever!

"Haven't you had lunch yet? I'll go cook. After dinner I have something to discuss with you." Sui Huaian said as he was about to go into the kitchen.

"I'm going to cook, you play with Xinxin!" Su Qingqing called Sui Huaian. The atmosphere between him, Xinxin and the two cats seemed very good!

Sui Huaian looked at Qingqing gently and said, "Take a break. I just bought some live shrimps and will make you some braised shrimps. It will be ready soon."

Qingqing cleaned the room and washed clothes while Sui Huaian was cooking.

Xinxin and the two kittens surrounded Qingqing in front and behind, and the aroma of food wafted from the kitchen from time to time.
