Chapter 25: A family of six or seven people were swallowed by a python

Su Honglin hurriedly got up, opened the door and ran out.

Su Yongxi and his mother looked at each other and said, "Mom, you and Qingqing eat first. I'll go take a look."

Mother Su nodded. "Go quickly and come back soon! Your uncle might be up to something again! Those tablets are made of limestone. They don't have legs. How can they run away by themselves?"

Su Qingqing got up and walked to the dining table. Mother Su glanced into the bedroom and asked, "How's the baby? Has he had his milk?"

Su Qingqing picked up the rice bowl and took a bite: "I ate it, and I ate quite a bit! I'm fine now, and I'm in good spirits. I'm going to sleep now."

Mother Su saw Qingqing wolfing down her food with a look of disgust on her face:

"You're so hungry, but you don't come out to eat. You can't starve now. If your milk is lost due to lack of milk, won't Xinxin suffer?"

Qingqing ate with big mouthfuls. To be honest, her cooking skills were really not that good, and she had been making do with what she had these past two days.

During the entire confinement period, my brother cooked very light meals and didn't dare to add too much salt, fearing that she would develop some kind of illness. But Qingqing had a strong taste.

She hadn't eaten such delicious food for a long time.

"Mom's cooking is delicious. You have to teach me when you have time, otherwise I will come back every day to eat for free."

Mother Su poured a bowl of soup and handed it to Qingqing: "Drink some soup to increase your milk production. Eat slowly. No one will snatch it from you."

Su Qingqing picked up a piece of braised pork and put it in her mouth. Not satisfied yet, she picked up another piece: "It's so delicious. I have to eat quickly, otherwise it will be too late when I get home."

Mother Su didn't expect Qingqing to have changed so much. She didn't move a single piece of fat before and kept saying she wanted to lose weight.

I dared not eat this or that. After only a few months of not seeing her, she seemed to have been reborn.

And she even wants to learn how to cook. Is this still the same Qingqing?

As they were talking, Su Yongxi opened the door and came in. Mother Su hurriedly asked, "What happened to the guardian spirit?"

Su Yongxi was still confused at this moment: "It's strange, the table for the guardian spirit fell over, and the tablets fell and shattered. The incense ashes and offerings were also scattered everywhere."

"The strangest thing is that the door is locked. My father and my second uncle are the only ones who have the key to that door. I can't even tell where these two are."

Mother Su said in surprise: "That's really weird. It's impossible for them to do such a thing. It's too strange."

While eating, Qingqing asked her mother, "What happened to my second uncle when he was young? Why did he need my dad to provide these things for him to get better when he was sick?"

Mother Su held her breath when she mentioned this matter: "It's all your uncle's fault..."

Mother Su sighed and told the story of the guardian deity...

It turns out that when Su Hong was just 20 years old, this area was still a suburb, and the forest park behind the Su family's house was just a barren mountain.

One day, Su Yongxi went to the mountains to hunt pheasants when he had nothing to do, and he encountered a huge python as thick as a bowl.

He raised his hunting rifle and shot the python to death. Because the python was so big, it wrapped around him several times before he could carry it back.

The Su family was terrified at the time. Grandpa Su and Grandma Su both said that such a big snake could not be beaten.

Unexpectedly, Su Honggang didn't take it seriously at all. He peeled the snake skin and stewed a large pot of snake meat.

But no one in the family dared to eat it, so he ate it alone for several days. He said the taste was simply amazing.

The very next day after he ate the snake, he was so sore all over that he couldn't get out of bed.

His body was covered with snake-like scales and his legs were swollen like elephant legs.

The most serious one was the densely packed snake-skin-like abscesses around the waist, which kept oozing yellow fluid.

He lay in bed groaning in pain all day, and had been to every major hospital in the country. His condition was getting worse, but no one could find out what was wrong with him.

One night he shouted that he needed to go to the toilet.

Grandma Su brought the potty back to him, but he refused and insisted on asking Su Honglin to carry him outside.

Su Honglin was particularly fond of his younger brother, who was ten years younger than him. When he heard the call, he got up and carried his brother to the toilet.

When Su Honglin saw that he was going to the bathroom, he shuddered and then started mumbling nonsense.

Su Honglin was startled and bent down to carry him back, but he actually ran and jumped back to the house by himself.

As soon as he entered the house, he started crying and laughing, and jumped up high from the ground. Several people couldn't comfort him.

Grandma Su thought that it was probably because he had just gone outside and ran into something unclean.

So he yelled, "Who the hell are you? Just tell me what you want to say. Don't bother Honggang anymore. He's sick and can't stand it."

Su Honggang fell to his knees with a plop, crying and saying:

"I'm the weasel from the back mountain. Six or seven of my family members were eaten by that python. My power was too weak to avenge me, so Hong Gang avenged me. His current illness is the result of eating the python's flesh and suffering revenge."

Grandma Su saw that what he said was very convincing, and that Honggang had indeed become ill after eating snake meat.

So he asked, "Do you have any way to save Hong Gang? The doctor said he won't live more than six months."

The weasel laughed heartily. "I can't do anything to it while it's alive, but I'm not sure if it's dead. I can save Hong Gang, but I have one condition. Will he agree?"

Grandma Su just wants her son to recover. What would one condition, let alone ten conditions, mean?

"What conditions do you want to ask? As long as we can do it, we will definitely agree to it."

The weasel said, "Since my power is limited, I must do good deeds to increase it. Since Hong Gang avenged my family, I will repay his kindness."

"Tell Hong Gang to invite my brother Hu and me to be the guardian deities of the family, and prepare tablets for the two immortals Hu and Huang. I will use his body to treat people and accumulate merit. This way, my power will increase greatly and I will be able to suppress the snake's spiritual energy."
