Lu Qiqi divided up two plots of land in her space to raise poultry and livestock, and then immediately came out of the space to continue searching to the west.
As she passed a house, she heard the sound of an earthenware pot falling to the ground and shattering.
Lu Qiqi stopped and followed the candlelight shining through the window as she approached the house.
Lu Qiqi poked a small hole in the paper window and saw a man with his upper body bare, pressing a girl in pink against the table. There was also a broken teapot on the ground, and the tea leaves were trampled into a muddy mess.
The girl cried out loudly, and in the struggle, Lu Qiqi saw her face clearly. It was actually Feng Yu'er!
Lu Qiqi was surprised that even Feng Yuer, who had so many followers, was captured. Although she and Feng Yuer had some disagreements, she would never allow anyone to bully a woman like this!
Lu Qiqi took the pig-slaughtering knife she had just borrowed from the kitchen and quietly walked into the house.
"Snap—".
"If you dare to move again, I'll kill you." The man slapped Feng Yu'er hard. He didn't expect that Feng Yu'er, who looked so weak, would be so strong when she fought back. He couldn't get the upper hand for a long time.
The commotion was loud, so Lu Qiqi deliberately slowed her footsteps and approached the man. Suddenly, she reached out and covered the man's mouth, then quickly and forcefully slashed his neck, causing blood to splatter everywhere. Lu Qiqi then released him, and the man fell straight to the ground with a thud.
Feng Yu'er's eyes widened as she saw the sharp, blood-stained butcher knife in Lu Qiqi's hand, and she instantly fainted.
Lu Qiqi settled Feng Yu'er on the bed before putting everything in the room into her spatial storage. She found a tiger-skin cushion on a chair, glanced back at the man lying on the floor, eyes wide, and thought, 'Could this be the bandit leader? Pretty fragile!'
After doing all this, Lu Qiqi left a wood-chopping knife for Feng Yu'er, so that she would have a chance to protect herself.
Lu Qiqi went to the west room, the door was open, and the room was empty.
She ran back to the hall she had passed earlier, where the bandits who had been drinking and eating meat earlier were all there, foaming at the mouth.
Before Lu Qiqi could even leave the hall, Song Yanqing grabbed her.
Lu Qiqi accidentally bumped into Song Yanqing's arms. After Song Yanqing steadied Lu Qiqi, he coughed lightly and let go. Seeing the blood on Lu Qiqi, he asked, "How did you get this on you? Where did you go?"
Hearing Song Yanqing ask this, Lu Qiqi looked down and saw that she had been splattered with a lot of blood by the bandit leader. She said, "It's someone else's. I'm not injured."
He then asked, "Is everything settled? Have you found my third uncle?"
Song Yanqing shook his head, "No! We searched the entire village, but we didn't find Uncle San. We only found Li Qingshan and his wife and Li Changlong."
Upon hearing that her third uncle and Lu Yao were not there, Lu Qiqi immediately asked, "Where are they? Take me there!"
Upon arriving at the village entrance, Lu Qiqi saw the villagers, still in shock, their faces showing both the joy of reuniting with loved ones and the sorrow of losing them.
When Lu Qiqi found Li Changlong and the other two, Li Qingshan was sitting on the ground holding Lu Shi, while Li Changlong stood to the side looking into the village.
Lu Qiqi ran up to them.
When Madam Lu saw Lu Qiqi, she struggled out of Li Qingshan's arms. "Qiqi, how did you get arrested? And why are you covered in blood?"
Lu Qiqi: "Song Yanqing and I came back and heard that you had been arrested, so we came to rescue you. The blood on you is not mine. I didn't even break the skin, so don't worry."
Then he asked, "Second Brother, where are Third Uncle and Third Aunt, A Yao, and Xi Bao?"
Li Changhu, whose hand was injured by the bandits and whose mouth was bruised, winced in pain and shook his head. "I don't know. My father led them to escape in a donkey cart, and my uncle and aunt followed behind. Later, we were separated by the bandits and captured. I don't know if they escaped or not."
Seeing the chaotic scene, Lu Qiqi told Li Changlong to organize some people to find the grain and leave quickly.
She also needed to go back and wake Feng Yu'er up.
Back at the bandit leader's house, Lu Qiqi saw Feng Yuer holding a wood-chopping knife, pointing it at her warily.
When Feng Yu'er realized it was Lu Qiqi, she immediately threw away the wood-chopping knife and pounced on Lu Qiqi.
Feng Yu'er was quite strong, and Lu Qiqi had to take several steps back before she caught her.
As soon as Feng Yu'er hugged Lu Qiqi, she started crying loudly, "Waaaaah, Manager Feng is gone, everyone is dead!"
Lu Qiqi didn't expect that Feng Yuer would come and hug her and cry. She rarely comforted people and didn't know how to coax them, so she just patted Feng Yuer's back dryly.
Half an incense stick's time had passed, and Feng Yu'er still hadn't stopped crying. Lu Qiqi's clothes were soaked with Feng Yu'er's tears, and she suspected that Feng Yu'er had secretly wiped her nose on her clothes. "Alright, let's go quickly, it's not safe here."
Upon hearing this, Feng Yu'er stopped crying. "Then where do we go now?"
Lu Qiqi, “Find your carriage, then leave the village.”
Lu Qiqi led Feng Yuer to the horse pen and found the carriage. There were three horses tied up inside the pen.
Lu Qiqi helped Feng Yuer into the carriage, then put the horse into her spatial storage, and released the horse when they were almost at the village entrance.
Once everyone had arrived, Lu Qiqi ushered Lu Shi and the others onto the carriage. The group, carrying grain and the stolen poultry and livestock, left the village in a grand procession.
The villagers never expected to encounter bandits, who had more grain, poultry, and livestock than when they first fled the famine.
The villagers, of course, did not expect it, and even Lu Qiqi did not guess that some of their grain came from Lu Family Village.
The villagers from Lujia Village were ahead of those from Lijia Village. They had been robbed half a day earlier. Lu Changping and Jin Shi escaped because they were ugly and Lu Shi's grandmother was too old to be sold. They were used as prisoners and locked up with Lu Dazhuang and Lu Changhu.
The fourth wife, Lu Dachuan, and his wife were separated from the first wife and their fates are unknown.
When the villagers of Lijia Village were rescuing people, Lu Dazhuang's family disregarded everything and ran straight out of the village.
Now that I've run out of the village, I have nothing but the clothes I'm wearing!
Lu Changhu had been carrying his grandmother on his back for a long time, and now he was too exhausted to continue, so he put her down.
After Grandpa Lu was killed by the bandits, Grandma's face stiffened; she was terrified and her legs were still weak. When Lu Changhu put her down, she couldn't stand and fell to the ground.
Lu Changping cried, "Dad, we've lost everything. What are we going to do now?"
Jin asked, "That's right, honey, what will we eat and drink from now on?"
Lu Dazhuang glared at Lu Changping and said irritably, "It's only because our ancestors are watching over us that we're alive. Let's go."
Lu Qiqi and her group headed back to meet the village chief, and the cook Liu Tong pointed out a shortcut for them.
As they approached their lodging in Lijia Village, the villagers carrying torches ahead heard dogs barking.
Then they discovered an inconspicuous ravine with an overturned cart at the bottom. The barking was coming from under the cart. A villager called out, "Is anyone there?"
Immediately, someone cried for help.
Upon hearing this, Lu Qiqi quickly got out of the car.
With the villagers working together, the cart was finally lifted up after half an hour, and the person was rescued.
Lu Qiqi looked closely and saw that it was her third uncle and aunt, A Yao, and Xi Bao.
