Chapter 19 Someone Came and Defeat the Outsiders.

Chapter 19 Someone Came and Defeat the Outsiders.

System, [...] Don't think I can't see that you're avoiding the problem, host.

But he couldn't force the host to answer, so he said sullenly, "[It's good. We took down one enemy and even managed to create two small fires. Someone will go and prepare food for you.]"

Easter, "What a lovely and heartwarming group of people!"

The system didn't know what to say, so it chose to remain silent.

This is just a spontaneous remark by Easter; it doesn't require systematic affirmation or denial.

...

Having silently made his way out of the forest, Easter couldn't possibly meet the players in such a disheveled state. After returning to the small village, he went straight to the cellar. The first thing he did after entering the cellar was to go into the shower room. The small wounds on his body were mostly healed, but the more serious ones were barely keeping from bleeding.

East didn't seem to care much, changed into a clean robe, and went out.

The system really wants to ask, host, do you not feel pain?

East stretched lazily, facing the sun that was halfway up the sky, and said as if he could read the system's thoughts, "Ouch, that hurts." He slowly found a place to sit down, leaned against the mottled wall, his eyes half-open and half-closed, his posture languid.

【Then why...?】The system couldn't find the right words. From the host's behavior, how could it be seen that he felt pain?

“Why is there a reason?” Easter said. “Does it stop hurting if I act like it’s in pain? It’s better to just ignore it,” he chuckled, “and if you ignore it, it won’t hurt anymore.”

The system was speechless, and to make matters worse, something even more unpleasant happened: [Host, someone is here.]

East lifted his eyelids slightly, asking in confusion, "Hmm?"

[System analysis revealed that they were dispatched by the Kingdom of Ramon, totaling twelve people: eight ordinary soldiers and four swordsman apprentices.]

East could only say he was annoyed, extremely annoyed. He raised his hand, his face contorted for a moment, and then withdrew his hand that was about to press his temple.

"They're here to find me? To eliminate them completely?" Ister muttered to himself. This lineup didn't seem right. It was enough to deal with him, even more so, but what about monsters and beasts? Only twelve people came. Wasn't this just courting death?

How far are we from here?

"Host, their route might collide with the player's." Both the human and the system spoke simultaneously.

"Host, they are about thirty kilometers away from us. They are traveling very fast and should arrive here in at most an hour," the system replied.

East asked, "System, do you think the players can beat them?"

"I understand, host." The system acknowledged the message and immediately issued tasks to the players.

[Ding! A serendipitous quest has been triggered—]

Mission objective: Twelve ill-intentioned individuals have entered this peaceful land. Defeat them and investigate the reasons behind their actions.

Mission completion criteria: Bring all the prisoners to the king.

Task completion reward: Experience is calculated based on the degree of task completion, and each Little Fireman Warrior can receive a maximum of 500 experience points.

Little Fireman Warriors, please use your brains! Facing a direct confrontation might lead to mission failure. This mission is related to a phase of the main storyline, so please do not act rashly. The location of the mission objective is already displayed on the minimap.

Fellow little fire warriors, fight bravely for our king!

The players were ambushing another lone monster when they heard the mission notification. They exchanged glances, slowly retreated to a place far away from the monster, and then spoke.

"Is this system notification a subtle way of telling us to set up an ambush?" Guagua said coldly. "That's quite interesting."

"It's not a hint, it's an explicit statement." Sparklingly sabotaging her is never absent.

"You two..." Meimei couldn't bear to watch. The two seemed to have incompatible personalities. Ever since they first played games together, they would always argue whenever they met. "Be serious," she reminded helplessly.

"There's still some distance to go, what should we do?" Ru Bu Kao Di Gua asked. "Judging from the mission, all twelve of them must be brought alive to the Phoenix King. Ambushes that are too easy to kill are not suitable."

"That's easy," Guagua laughed, his beady eyes sweeping over each of them. "Have you forgotten what we look like now?"

"You're so cunning, just like me," Liang Jingjing said.

“I think it’s feasible,” Chunye said. “We’ll dig some small pits where we’re going to make our move, and tie some ropes around them. If the people are scattered, we can take them down one by one.”

While the two sides were still some distance apart, they refined the idea further, assigned tasks to each other, and began to take action.

Some dug holes, others calculated locations and tied tripwires, while Guagua and Caidie rehearsed their performance. Yunmu scouted out suitable hiding spots to take advantage of the chaos...

The eight little firemen were busy at work, and once everything was ready, the players eagerly awaited the arrival of the mission objective.

They also devised another plan to prevent the mission from going astray, but fate intervened, and the twelve unsuspecting people stepped into the trap set by the players.

The group consisted of twelve strong men, four of whom rode unicorns, while the remaining eight followed behind. They moved quickly, as if they had a clear route.

"Shushu" describes the wind rustling the leaves, while "Caoca" indicates that a creature has broken a branch.

The twelve people stopped in unison, looking warily toward the source of the noise. "Ah!" someone let out a short, sharp scream.

Before them was a ball of pitch-black flame, and in their even deeper, darker eyes burned a bloodthirsty desire devoid of human emotion.

Before the leader could even reprimand them, a commotion arose from behind. Oh, my God! What an evil color that was! What an evil creature! A dark purple blob, with a malevolent expression.

Cold sweat broke out on the foreheads of all twelve people. They had expected to encounter monsters, but to encounter two at once meant they were unlikely to come out unscathed.

The two monsters, Guagua and Caidie, suddenly sped up and rushed over, just like those monsters that couldn't wait to smell the blood of living people.

The twelve men drew their swords to fight back, but the two little fire men wouldn't give them a chance to touch them. They were just for show, completely incapable of fighting head-on; their intimidating aura was just for show.

"Whoosh!" A small, bright green fireball fell from the sky and knocked one of the people down. The already panicked people panicked even more. When they saw more fireballs coming out, they completely lost their composure. The pits they had dug came in handy, and they tripped over the pits after only a few steps. The fireballs that noticed them took the opportunity to hit them with a stick or a stone to knock them unconscious.

One of the riders shouted, but to no avail. In the chaos, Yun Mu entered and, taking advantage of their unpreparedness, disarmed two of the riders. The remaining two riders who tried to escape encountered pre-prepared tripwires and fell off their horses.

He rolled on the ground once before standing up, only to step into a pit. He fell backward, staggered a few steps to steady himself, and then found himself in another pit, one he couldn't avoid.

Yun Mu lunged forward, giving no time to react, and her attack was swift and decisive.

Guagua jumped up and pinned down one of the people who was trying to escape. Liangjingjing stepped forward to help, and together they subdued one person. Then, they worked together seamlessly to deal with the rest.

Meimei, not feeling unlucky, held up a stick and started hitting the ground like whack-a-mole, "bang bang bang," and a bunch of people around her tripped and couldn't get up.

Whatever, I don't know how I stepped into the pit. When I fell, I bumped into someone. Roasted sweet potato was quick enough to finish them off.

...

After the melee ended, the players used ropes to trip people up and tied them up, using the binding method taught by Butterfly. The more people struggled, the tighter the bindings became.

After tying people up, the players finally relaxed and collapsed on the ground, panting heavily, looking extremely exhausted.

"Hmm? What are these?" Liang Jingjing asked.

Everyone followed the bright, sparkling gaze and looked at the little fire-man, whose body was covered with crisscrossing white lines.

"Don't just look at me, you guys have it too," Jing Guagua reminded him.

Everyone noticed that everyone had such marks on their bodies, not all of them were white. For example, Liang Jingjing's marks were black, which was different from the original color of the body and made them more noticeable.

"This is an injury warning. Please check the player panel." Ru Bu Kao Di Gua said that the player panel showed that he was injured, with certain limitations on his stamina and movement, and that he would slowly recover over time.

"I thought it was because we were strong that we didn't get hurt at all." Guagua spoke for everyone. Who didn't think that way before? "These two battles were won too easily. I was getting cocky."

"Have you forgotten that we were wiped out twice before?" Yun Mu said sullenly, those two times leaving her with quite a bit of psychological trauma.

"Alright, alright, you've rested enough. Let's wake the two of them up and ask them how things are going," Meimei said, still thinking about the unfinished task.

"I don't know if you've noticed something," said Ruo Ba Di Gua.

The croaking bird, shaking the one who most resembled the leader, still had time to respond to Ruodigua's question, "What?"

The person who had been shaken awake by the croaking noises immediately noticed the little firemen surrounding him and wished he were still unconscious. "Let me go, I can bring you more food." After the battle, he realized that this must be a new species, not a monster.

The lucky player chosen by the player was named Blake, who happened to be the leader of the soldiers. He was a swordsman apprentice who was about to become a junior swordsman. He thought this mission would be easy. Although the place they were coming to was dangerous, with the guidance of the magician, they could go straight to where the king was. There was no need for a thorough search. However, looking at this group of little monsters huddled together, he knew very well that he was going to die here today. What he said was that he was still trying to make a last-ditch effort.

"What are you all here for?" asked the little firemen. More firemen gathered around.
