When they arrived at the main hall, Zhou Yingxuan was already sitting there drinking tea, and Jiang Xun was also sitting there. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that the two were like enemies meeting. As soon as they stepped in, they could feel the strange atmosphere between them.
"Huahua, you're here!"
"What brings the Crown Prince to my Jiang residence today? Could it be that you've found clues about Lin Shuyan's disappearance to convict me?" Jiang Hua asked leisurely as she sat down.
“Huahua, I was just in a hurry that day. I hope you can understand me.”
"Your Highness is too kind. We're not that close yet. In the future, just call me Jiang Hua or Miss Jiang when we meet," Jiang Hua reminded him in a distant tone.
"Does this have to be the way things are between us? I know you're angry with me for not telling you who I am right away."
"Cough!" Jiang Xun, who had just taken a sip of tea, choked on Zhou Yingxuan's words and looked at Jiang Hua with a puzzled expression, as if asking what was going on.
“Zhou Yingxuan, it’s been so long, I thought you’d be a little more normal by now, but you’re still the same. You’ve only gained the identity of the First Prince, not that your brain has grown back,” Jiang Hua retorted.
"Are you going to say next that you can reluctantly take me as a concubine because I can't help you like the Duke of Anguo's mansion can?"
"Jiang Hua, you!" Zhou Yingxuan's heart skipped a beat when Jiang Hua guessed correctly. How did she know?
"You already said these words back in Xu Family Village, has the First Prince forgotten?" Jiang Hua smiled sarcastically. There was no need to repeat the same words a second time.
"Zhou Yingxuan, do you really think you're some kind of hot commodity?"
Jiang Xun, who was standing to the side, couldn't help but laugh out loud at Jiang Hua's words.
"Jiang Hua, I originally thought you were a smart woman, so I came to see you specifically, but I didn't expect you haven't changed at all." Hearing Jiang Xun's sneer and being humiliated by Jiang Hua like this, Zhou Yingxuan felt a surge of anger.
"I've already given you a chance, but you didn't know how to cherish it. Don't fall into my hands again, or I won't let you off easily," Zhou Yingxuan said through gritted teeth.
“Zhou Yingxuan, I’ll return the same words to you verbatim.”
No sooner had Jiang Hua finished speaking than Zhou Yingxuan stormed off in a huff.
"Fortunately, the Great Sheng Kingdom won't be handed over to him in the future." Jiang Xun shook his head with a click of his tongue.
Days passed by, and soon the day to go to the border arrived.
According to the previous list, two more people have been added: Jiang Jingyi and An Xinya. Furthermore, Zhou Ye has announced that he will establish a crown prince after returning from the border.
Fortunately, the group maintained a safe distance along the border and made their way there smoothly.
...
Upon reaching the border, we could only carry water bags and bundles on foot. After walking for a while according to the address on the map, we saw a group of unfamiliar men.
“These are people from Wuxun Kingdom,” Jiang Xingzhou said softly.
Upon hearing this, the group became more vigilant. Both sides remained silent and walked together. An hour later, they finally crossed the desert and arrived at a forest.
"Let's take a break first," Jiang Hua suggested.
"Okay." Bai Heng nodded in agreement, and they had indeed walked for a while.
The people from the Duke of Anguo's mansion, the Lin family, and the Su family looked at Zhou Yingxuan, waiting for him to speak. However, when the people from Wuxun Kingdom saw that they had stopped to rest, they quickened their pace and soon disappeared at the entrance of the forest.
"Brother Yingxuan, let's rest when we get to the cave entrance, lest the people from Wuxun Kingdom get there first," An Xinya suggested.
"Okay, I'll listen to Ya Ya."
"Regent, aren't you coming up with us?" An Xinya glanced at Jiang Hua and the others who hadn't gotten up and reminded them.
"You go ahead, we're tired."
“Since the Regent has said so, let’s part ways here and each of us can find the treasure through our own abilities,” Zhou Yingxuan said, looking down at Jiang Xingzhou.
Then, Jiang Xingzhou ignored Zhou Yingxuan and only took out a water bag for Jiang Jingyi to drink water.
Zhou Yingxuan, unusually patient, didn't take it to heart and led the members of several aristocratic families behind him into the forest.
Less than half an hour after they started walking, screams came from the forest. The group looked in the direction of the sound and saw only dense trees and bushes.
"They might have encountered a wild beast!" Qingyue stood up curiously, eager to go and see what was going on.
"Master, let me out! That familiar smell is from my 'brother'!" The little white snake writhed in the space, trying to escape.
brother?
Could it be that there are other time travelers with their own space?
With a thought, Jiang Hua summoned the little white snake from the space, which transformed into a clear, translucent jade bracelet that adorned her wrist, feeling cool and refreshing.
"Let's go take a look, but be careful." Jiang Xingzhou stood up and led the way.
Jiang Hua was filled with curiosity. When she learned from the little white snake's words that after they parted the grass, a giant python a meter thick was chewing on the people from Wuxun Kingdom one by one, her tongue flicking out, her lips twitched involuntarily.
Is this the brother you were talking about?
Don't you think it looks like it?
Upon noticing Jiang Hua's sharp gaze, the little white snake spoke again:
I can control it, allowing you to pass through this area safely.
"My goodness, if this were made into snake soup, how many meals would it take to finish it!" Qingyue exclaimed, looking at the giant python that was eating people. She couldn't even imagine how delicious the snake's meat must be.
"I don't know how many meals it will take, but it can consume all of us in one sitting," Jiang Jingyi said quietly.
Jiang Xingzhou frowned, trying to figure out how to lure the giant python away. But before they could make a move, Zhou Yingxuan and his group caused a commotion. The giant python kept mentioning the people of Wuxun Kingdom and then turned its attention to them.
"Damn, they're hiding so well, do they think the giant snake isn't full enough?" Qingyue blurted out, watching the commotion on Zhou Yingxuan's side.
"Maybe," Jiang Hua agreed.
They had been hiding well, but they were discovered. Zhou Yingxuan darted away and lured the python into the bushes on their side, where the group stared at the python.
"What a troublemaker." Jiang Hua pushed Jiang Jingyi toward Qingyue and Qingling: "You two keep an eye on him, I'll go lure the python away."
Seeing Jiang Hua leap out, Jiang Xingzhou, Bai Heng, and Jiang Xun followed suit, not wanting to be left behind, and together they lured the giant python away.
The group split up and ran, with the giant python chasing after them, its jaws wide open. Its tail never stopped swaying, and wherever it went, towering trees were swept down.
