Chapter 66 Ye Shaoling's "Courtesy First, Then Force"

"Master Shen has arrived."

"Master Shen, what a coincidence, I didn't expect to see you here."

Then, someone who shouldn't have appeared appeared. Ye Shaoling walked out of the crowd with Ye Guicheng, who was carrying a congratulatory gift.

"Master Ye, what a coincidence," Shen Qingchuan replied without changing his expression.

"I've come today specifically to congratulate Miss Jiang on the opening of her shop," Ye Shaoling said with a flourish, opening his folding fan.

"Who are you?" Jiang Hua asked Ye Shaoling, "Young master, is this our first meeting?"

"That's where Ye Dongjia's fault lies." Shen Qingchuan, seeing Jiang Hua's flawless question, cooperated:

“Miss Jiang, this is Ye Shaoling, the owner of Guangfu Restaurant.”

As soon as Shen Qingchuan spoke, the onlookers couldn't help but take a second look at Ye Shaoling. So this was the owner of Guangfu Restaurant. Then they looked at Shen Qingchuan and realized that this was the owner of Mingyue Restaurant.

The ingrained instinct to enjoy gossip, deeply rooted in their bones, blazed fiercely at this moment.

"So it was Guangfulou who hired thugs to steal my braising sauce recipe," Jiang Hua said calmly.

Ye Shaoling's expression hardened, but he then said nonchalantly, "Miss Jiang, this is all a misunderstanding. I have personally brought people here today to apologize to you."

After speaking, Ye Shaoling glanced at Ye Guicheng behind him. Upon receiving Ye Shaoling's message, Ye Guicheng quickly took the congratulatory gift and stepped forward to bow and apologize to Jiang Hua.

"Huahua, the auspicious time has arrived," Aunt Liu reminded her as she stepped forward.

"Guests are guests. Since Master Ye says it's a misunderstanding, then it's a misunderstanding." Jiang Hua didn't waste any more words with them.

He stepped forward and removed the red cloth covering the signboard, announcing the official opening of the shop.

For the first three days after the shop opened, all original-flavor snail rice noodles were half price, four coins a bowl. After three days, the price returned to normal. Jiang Hua had Fang Ru prepare a detailed price list and post it on the wall so that it was clear at a glance as soon as you entered the shop. There were no price gouging incidents; all prices were clearly marked.

Some people think the price is too high, but quite a few people still choose to come in and try it.

Shen Qingchuan and Ye Shaoling went in and each found a seat, then ordered everything on the menu.

"Miss Jiang," Wenqing said, unsure of what to do.

"Just do as they say, we'll just pay the bill in the end anyway," Jiang Hua said.

“Yes, Miss Jiang,” Wen Qing nodded in response.

She was busy attending to guests and didn't notice when Ye Shaoling left until Shen Qingchuan came up and told her.

"Miss Jiang, do you have any food boxes? I'd like to take a few bowls back for them to try as well," Sun Nian asked, not forgetting the instructions Manager Bai had given him before he left.

"Yes," Jiang Hua replied. "Wenya, go to the kitchen and get two food boxes. Remember to separate the soup and noodles so the guests can take them home."

After giving the money, Sun Nian happily took the two food boxes and followed Shen Qingchuan back to Mingyue Tower.

Aunt Liu and her family originally came as guests, but their business was so booming that they offered to help with cleaning up the dishes and such.

As the sun began to set, the customers in the shop gradually dispersed. Jiang Hua, as before, counted out sixty coins and gave them to Aunt Liu.

After explaining the arrangements for tomorrow, Jiang Hua took Jiang Jingyi and Aunt Liu's family to return to the village.

Fortunately, they managed to catch the last oxcart, and as darkness fell, they returned to Xujia Village.

For the first three days after opening, the store was packed with people every day because of the half-price discount. Aunt Liu didn't set up her own stall and instead came to help out at the shop.

On the fourth day, after the prices were restored to normal, there were fewer customers, but it was still quite busy during mealtimes.

"Stepmother, are you tired?" Jiang Jingyi asked, massaging Jiang Hua's shoulders as she sat behind the counter.

"It's alright, the novelty will wear off after a while," Jiang Hua replied.

Strangely enough, after Ye Shaoling appeared once on the first day of business, Jiang Hua never saw him again.

Ye Shaoling, whom Jiang Hua was concerned about, was currently scolding Ye Guicheng at Mingyue Tower.

He was also plotting how to get her to willingly buy out the snail rice noodle business and hand it over to him.

The difference between Ye Shaoling and Shen Qingchuan in doing business is that Shen Qingchuan thinks further ahead, while Ye Shaoling prefers to buy out properties directly and keep ownership in his own hands.

"Master, how about I have someone take care of her?" Ye Guicheng asked tentatively, making a throat-slitting gesture.

Ye Shaoling gave him a look that said, "Are you an idiot?" Ye Guicheng immediately lowered his head and dared not speak again.

"In everything, we should first be courteous and then resort to force," Ye Shaoling said slowly.

“Master, but this Jiang Hua is so stubborn, she won’t listen to reason. I’m just worried she won’t give you face,” Ye Guicheng explained.

"Face is something you earn yourself. Look at her, isn't she chatting and laughing with Shen Qingchuan?" Ye Shaoling glanced at him and said.

At this point, Ye Shaoling asked again, "Recently, Mingyue Tower's business has been exceptionally good."

"Master, that's because Mingyue Tower hired a skilled chef. I'm already trying to find out who that chef is," Ye Guicheng said quickly.

Ye Shaoling scoffed: "Didn't you see that chef a few days ago?"

Have you seen it?

Who is it?

How come he doesn't remember this?

Ye Guicheng looked at his boss with a blank expression, waiting for him to give him some guidance.

"Jiang Hua," Ye Shaoling said calmly.

"Jiang Hua? It's her again?" Ye Guicheng was still somewhat incredulous, but then he remembered that Jiang Hua did indeed frequent Mingyue Tower.

"Master, what should we do?" Ye Guicheng pressed.

“We can give her more money than Shen Qingchuan can give her. Anyway, money is the least of our worries,” Ye Shaoling said.

Jiang Hua's cooperation with Mingyue Tower was simply for money. Ye Shaoling was already imagining Shen Qingchuan's expression when he found out that she had been so easily bribed.

"Master, should I go and invite Jiang Hua over?" Ye Guicheng asked.

"No need, I can do it myself," Ye Shaoling said confidently.

Jiang Hua's shop has been open for half a month now, and Jiang Xingzhou has just replied, saying that Jiang Hua can make all the arrangements.

“The shop doesn’t need to be open for the next two days. You’ve been busy for half a month now, so take a break for a couple of days.” After a pause, Jiang Hua added, “Unless there are special circumstances, we will take two days off every two weeks.”

"Yes, young lady," Fangru and the others replied in unison.

After giving a few more instructions, Jiang Hua took Jiang Xingzhou's reply back to the village. On the way, she made a detour to Shili Village to deliver the safflower back.

Just as she was about to leave and walk back to Shili Village, the village chief of Shili Village walked over to her and called out to her.
