Chapter 344 Tempting

(If you don't like the romance aspect, you might want to skip this chapter.)

Seeing that Qian Li's mood had finally improved, Li Xuanzu breathed a sigh of relief.

After he repeatedly assured her, like a loving father, that he wouldn't abandon Qian Li, she finally stopped crying and started smiling.

The three of them had a harmonious meal.

Later, Qian Li pestered Li Xuanzu and talked a lot, just like a child returning home from school eagerly sharing interesting things that happened at school with the parents who came to pick her up.

They talked for a long time. Li Xuanzu didn't initiate conversations, but he always responded at just the right time.

This further fueled Qian Li's desire to share, at least she knew that Li Xuanzu was listening.

Qian Li seemed to have finished talking, then yawned and went back to her room, satisfied.

After crying all day, it's time to rest.

But as soon as Li Xuanzu looked up, he saw Fu Yu, who had just come out of the bathroom.

What followed was a blood-pumping scene:

Whether it was from taking a hot bath in winter or something else, the woman's cheeks were flushed, making her very charming.

Her hair was sticking together because it was wet, and every now and then a drop of water would fall. Her fair skin had a perfect blush in some places, making her look like a lotus emerging from the water, clean yet so alluring.

Moreover, Fu Yu actually changed into that set of pajamas made of a sheer, barely-there material.

The beauty before him had no seductive gaze like those of courtesans, nor did she deliberately strike any poses; that was enough, and there was no need for such behavior.

Her already stunning figure was accentuated by the nightgown, making her appear even more curvaceous. It was as if, with just her standing there, even a celestial fairy descended to earth and lost some of her charm, becoming merely a foil.

A shy gaze, an unpretentious and natural coy demeanor—that's what makes a beautiful woman.

"What...what are you doing?"

Li Xuanzu even stuttered when he spoke.

It wasn't that he had never seen a woman before, but rather that he had never imagined such a scene.

"I...I...I...am I...pretty?"

The most nervous one was Fu Yu. Heaven knows how much determination she put into putting on this outfit.

She is an extrovert, but how could she be extroverted when it comes to emotions?

"It looks good...but..."

Li Xuanzu stepped forward to embrace Fu Yu, but she pulled him away first.

Her hands, soft and delicate with slender fingers, pressed against Li Xuanzu's back.

Feeling each fingertip touch his skin, Fu Yu was still steaming with moisture, and a delicate fragrance wafted into his nostrils, stirring his heart and mind.

A half-moon hangs in the young girl's arms, her gauze dress like a cloud veiling the beautiful scene.

Li Xuanzu didn't put much effort into poetry and prose, nor could he utter those flowery, literary phrases, yet he couldn't help but sigh with admiration.

The softness in his arms became increasingly unrestrained, and the slender hand behind his back gripped him even tighter.

Fu Yu pressed herself directly against Li Xuanzu's body, her breath as delicate as an orchid, her warmth seeping through his clothes.

Li Xuanzu's breathing also became heavier.

He became even more nervous, looking at Fu Yu's large expanse of exposed skin, unsure of where to put his hands.

"Yes...you're the one who wanted to buy this for me...do you dislike me?"

Fu Yu's voice was so faint that only the two of them could hear it.

"No, that's not true, I just didn't expect it..."

Li Xuanzu quickly denied it, and in his haste, he unconsciously put his arm around Fu Yu's arm, which made her playfully scold him.

Now, even the slightest movement by Li Xuanzu will elicit a strong reaction from Fu Yu.

No one gets used to being touched by someone of the opposite sex, especially in this situation.

Then...she got something stuck in her throat...

Seeing that Li Xuanzu was slow to respond, she had some doubts about his abilities.

However, after experiencing it again, she immediately dismissed the idea.

"How about...you come back to my room with me..."

"I..."

Before Fu Yu could continue speaking, she felt a sudden dizziness and was then lifted up by Li Xuanzu.

"Phew...who taught you all this, all you do is sleep all day...huh?"

Li Xuanzu took a deep breath and patted Fu Yu's pert spot, but then noticed something was amiss.

"you..."

"Ugh! You're so mean! I... I was just wearing... my pajamas..."

Fu Yu cursed under his breath, not daring to raise his voice, for fear of waking Qian Li.

I have to say, the material of these pajamas is really good; it feels like you're not wearing anything at all.

Li Xuanzu did not have the bad habit of using his divine sense to examine other people's bodies, which is why the scene just now occurred.

After tossing Fu Yu onto the bed, Li Xuanzu also lay down, but made no further moves.

"Go to sleep first. We can talk about these things after the zombies on Earth disappear."

Li Xuanzu sighed and turned his head toward Fu Yu.

"Well... okay then."

Fu Yu seemed somewhat disappointed, but this didn't create any distance between them. She then snuggled closer to Li Xuanzu.

Li Xuanzu wasn't that rigid; it was just that the physiological instincts triggered by what he had just witnessed hadn't subsided, so he couldn't get that close.

The two of them could only fall asleep in a rather awkward position.

... ...

Li Xuanzu slept relatively well last night, but Fu Yu, who was sleeping sprawled out next to him, had no idea.

Looking at Fu Yu sleeping like a little pig, Li Xuanzu couldn't help but find it amusing, but a sense of sadness inevitably flashed through his heart.

Not wanting to wake her, Li Xuanzu left a message on his phone and then went out.

With only one day left before the Spring Festival, I might as well go and settle accounts with those five divine kingdoms in the Mediterranean.

Li Xuanzu has not forgotten this matter.

After all, it concerns his own interests.

Without notifying the other party at all, Li Xuanzu arrived at Ya City, the capital of Xi Kingdom, in just one hour.

According to Greek mythology, this city has a very significant history.

A wager between Athena, the goddess of war and wisdom, and Poseidon, the god of the sea, two of the twelve principal gods of Greek mythology:

The one who can provide humanity with the most useful things will become the city's guardian.

Poseidon struck the ground with his trident and conjured a warhorse. Athena, on the other hand, created an olive tree.

Olive trees are considered a symbol of peace and prosperity, while warhorses are seen as representing war and sorrow. Therefore, Athens unsurprisingly won the bet and became the patron saint of Athens.

The people of Ya City deeply admired this powerful and beautiful goddess, and so they named the city after her.

Within the city of Athena, there is also an iconic building—the Parthenon, a temple dedicated to the goddess Athena.

For some unknown reason, the god awakened in the Kingdom of Greece was not Athena, the goddess of war and wisdom, but Apate, the goddess of deception and fraud.

But this has nothing to do with Li Xuanzu.

Neither Apate nor Athena are likely to refuse the conditions he proposed.

Both of these deities are very wise beings. Given that Li Xuanzu has demonstrated sufficient strength, they will not rashly antagonize him.

(I didn't originally plan to write it this way, but I personally think the relationship developed too quickly, so I didn't cross that line and just set a flag.)
