Chapter 249 Heading to Korea

Although they said they were going to sleep, neither of them actually fell asleep. Li Xuanzu and Huang Lao discussed their next move for quite a while.

A country that is on good terms with the Dragon Kingdom, is severely plagued by zombies, and is geographically close.

Ultimately, there were only two choices: the neighboring Ba Kingdom and the Xian Kingdom.

Other countries either have the ability to deal with zombies, or they are not adjacent to China and have been too troublesome in the past. Others simply have no vested interests and their relations with China are not good.

After much deliberation, Elder Huang finally decided to send Li Xuanzu to the Kingdom of North Korea by plane, mainly because it was close by and Elder Huang would send a team of psychics to stabilize the situation in the Kingdom of Ba.

There's no need to worry about signal issues once you're abroad. Li Xuanzu cleared out a large number of zombies in the Dragon Kingdom, giving Huang Lao enough time to restore the signal there. There are ways to communicate even when you're abroad, but that's all the communication function you'll have.

But that's enough.

As the primary city of the Dragon Kingdom, Kyoto still has an airport and airplanes reserved for emergencies, but the number is not large, and passenger planes have been suspended.

The itinerary was quickly finalized, and for some time to come, Li Xuanzu would not be in the Dragon Kingdom.

"By the way, Ancestor, the Korean Peninsula is located on a peninsula, and there is another country on it, the Kimchi Country. They are not on good terms with us; in fact, it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say they are enemies. You should be careful." This was the last sentence Huang Lao sent when the two ended their chat.

Li Xuanzu, however, didn't take it seriously and simply didn't reply.

When the next day dawned and a ray of sunlight shone through the curtains, Li Xuanzu was pulled back to his thoughts.

"Get up." Li Xuanzu knocked on Fu Yu's door and said.

To his surprise, a response came quickly from inside the room.

"Coming, coming." In just a few seconds, Fu Yu, still sleepy-eyed, opened the door. It seemed she hadn't slept well last night.

"What happened?" Li Xuanzu asked, pointing to Fu Yu's swollen eyelids.

"N-nothing..." Fu Yu's ears turned red as if she had just remembered something.

She couldn't very well say that she was waiting for Li Xuanzu last night, could she?

"Go back to sleep after you brush your teeth. It will take some time for Elder Huang to prepare the supplies. I'll wake you up then." Li Xuanzu's original intention was to have Fu Yu get up and practice martial arts, but judging from her condition, she might die suddenly if she did strenuous exercise.

Fu Yu nodded obediently, quickly brushed her teeth, and then fell asleep sitting next to Li Xuanzu.

Whether intentionally or unintentionally, Fu Yu fell asleep and ended up lying on Li Xuanzu's lap, muttering things like "idiot" from time to time, seemingly... referring to Li Xuanzu?

Looking at Fu Yu, who was sleeping soundly on his lap like a little pig, Li Xuanzu could only smile helplessly, adjust her position to make her more comfortable, and then discussed the upcoming itinerary with Elder Huang.

Old Huang had considered everything very carefully. He used a transport plane to carry enough fuel and supplies, along with a large-capacity off-road vehicle, and airdropped it directly into North Korea.

Aside from some medical supplies used for emergency treatment, the remaining supplies were enough for Fu Yu to eat in North Korea for three years.

Li Xuanzu did not need to obtain energy through food and water.

"Ancestor, everything's ready here. I'll send you the location in a bit. Just come over. I've put your spirit cores in the car for you." Old Huang sent the message.

"Wake up, call Ouyang Ningxue, let's go." Li Xuanzu sent a message to Ouyang Ningxue and shook Fu Yu.

"I'm so sleepy," Fu Yu complained, reluctantly sitting up and going back to her room to change her clothes.

As the two walked along the road, they felt a sudden sense of leisure. Before they knew it, the group of travelers had dwindled to just three.

Li Xuanzu didn't even have time to feel anything; he only felt a pair of slender arms encircle his neck, followed by a weight on his back.

"Hehe, Azu, carry me over, I'm going to sleep a little longer." Fu Yu's voice came from behind Li Xuanzu's head, and then she rested her head on Li Xuanzu's back.

Seeing this familiar scene, Li Xuanzu was stunned, grabbed Fu Yu's leg, and lifted her up a little.

"Lazy pig." Li Xuanzu chuckled and scolded, slowing his pace as he headed towards the meeting point.

Fu Yu felt that she had never slept so peacefully.
