Chapter 600: Shi Xin, what is your Buddha?

Chapter 600: Shi Xin, what is your Buddha?

After Xu Ming said goodbye to Shi Xin, Lin Xingluo also packed his clothes and came out of the yard.

Xu Ming took Lin Xingluo to bid farewell to Master Yuan Ming.

Master Yuanming politely tried to persuade Xu Ming to leave. After Xu Ming insisted on leaving, Master Yuanming didn't say anything and didn't ask any more questions.

"Shixin, please go and see off Donor Xu." Master Yuanming said, and asked Shixin to see off Xu Ming.

"yes."

Shi Xin nodded and took Xu Ming down the mountain.

Compared to the previous time when Shi Xin took Xu Ming to play in the mountains, Shi Xin looked a little silent today.

Shi Xin is a girl who doesn't hide herself.

So Shi Xin’s mood is expressed on his face.

Xu Ming could clearly feel the reluctance and loss.

"Don't send me off, just stop here."

After leaving Leiming Town, Xu Ming stopped and asked Shi Xin not to see him off.

If Shi Xin continued to send him away, he would probably end up like Mo Zhuer, who sent him more than ten miles away.

Shi Xin lowered his head, and the little hands under his monk's robes pinched gently. After a while, Shi Xin seemed to have prepared himself mentally, raised his head and said to Xu Ming: "Then be careful when you go back."

Xu Ming smiled and said, "What could possibly happen to me? There aren't that many cultivators in the upper fifth realm. You should go back."

Shi Xin shook his head: "You go first and I'll watch you go."

“.”

Looking at Shi Xin's appearance, Xu Ming's heart moved slightly, and he felt that the softest part of his heart was gently touched.

Finally, Xu Ming nodded: "Okay, I'll go then."

Xu Ming turned around and left with Lin Xingluo.

When he walked a hundred meters, Xu Ming turned his head and saw Shi Xin still standing by the lake like a willow tree, looking in the direction Xu Ming had left.

"Young Master." Lin Xingluo called softly.

"Let's go." Xu Ming shook his head, turned around again, walked farther and farther away, and never looked back.

Xu Ming completely disappeared from Shi Xin's sight and never appeared again.

Shi Xin stood by the lake for a long time. People who were going in and out of the city saw Shi Xin standing and looking into the distance, and they were also curious about what Master Shi Xin was waiting for.

It was not until the night gradually fell that the girl withdrew her gaze, turned around and walked back.

The red sunset cast a faint halo on the girl's body.

Even though the girl had walked alone on the road back to the temple countless times, this time, she felt indescribably lonely.

When we returned to Leiming Temple, it was already evening and the sun had set, so there were not many pilgrims going up the mountain to worship Buddha.

Shi Xin walked into the courtyard and headed towards the main hall.

The golden sunlight sprinkled in the hall, and the original golden Buddha statue looked even brighter, as if the Buddha had appeared, sitting solemnly in the center of the hall with a kind face.

The old monk knelt in front of the Buddha statue, striking the wooden fish rhythmically again and again. The whole hall was filled with the sound of the old monk chanting.

"Grandpa Abbot."

Walking forward, Shi Xin clasped his hands together and bowed to the abbot.

The old monk's chanting gradually stopped, and he slowly opened his old eyes.

"Has Donor Xu left?" asked Master Yuanming.

"Yes, Grandpa Abbot." Shi Xin nodded, "Xu Ming has left."

"Yeah." Master Yuanming nodded, still kneeling on the cushion with his back to Shixin.

The old monk raised his head and looked at the golden statue of Buddha: "What do you want to do?"

Shi Xin was puzzled and asked, "Shi Xin, I don't know what the abbot grandfather is referring to?"

The old monk smiled and slowly stood up from the ground.

Such a person, who is one of the top ten people in the world, does not look like a cultivator in the ascended realm at all at this moment, but just an ordinary old man.

The old monk turned around and smiled at the girl who was "not his granddaughter but his granddaughter": "Do you want to go with Xu Ming?"

Shi Xin lowered his head and thought.

The old man was not in a hurry, just waiting for Shixin's answer.

After a long while, Shi Xin raised his head and looked at Master Yuan Ming: "Grandpa Abbot, should Shi Xin go with Xu Ming?"

"Do you think you should go?" Master Yuanming asked.

"Shi Xin doesn't know." Shi Xin shook her head. "Shi Xin really wants to leave with Xu Ming, but Shi Xin is a monk and a Buddhist woman. She shouldn't be bound by this love affair."

"Amitabha." Master Yuanming smiled and looked at Shixin kindly. "Shixin, do you remember the question I asked you before? I once asked you, what is Buddha? Now, I ask you again, what is Buddha?"

Shi Xin replied: "Buddha means enlightenment. It is not a statue made of blue smoke or a golden body. It is the ultimate light that breaks the shell of ignorance and frees one from the fetters of life and death.

This is the Buddha.

Buddha nature is like the moon, and sentient beings are like water. When the water is turbid, the moon is hidden, and when the water is clear, the moon is visible. When one is confused, Bodhi becomes trouble, and when one is enlightened, trouble becomes Bodhi. It is not about leaving the world to seek a pure land, but about realizing Nirvana in life and death.

This is the Buddha.

Every flower and every leaf exudes Prajna, every breath contains the sound of Dharma. Buddha is your original nature, which does not require any external seeking or verbal trap. If you seek Buddha by establishing an appearance outside of your mind, it is like looking for your reflection in a mirror; you will ultimately fall into delusion. If you look inward and reflect on yourself, then the mountains, rivers, and earth are all Dharmakaya.

This is the Buddha."

This was Shi Xin’s answer, just like a few years ago.

The last time, Master Yuanming smiled but said nothing.

This time, Master Yuanming shook his head and said, "Shixin, you are right, but this is the Buddha of our ancestors, not your Buddha. You have never found your Buddha heart.

It’s not your fault.

Some people can't find it even if they spend their whole life searching for it, let alone you are still so young."

Master Yuanming walked out of the hall with old steps. His voice came from behind the old monk, echoing among the many Buddha statues: "Think about it carefully. Maybe, if you think about it for a long time, maybe, you can get the answer at this time."

As Master Yuanming's voice fell, Shi Xin was the only one left in the entire hall.

Shi Xin raised his head and looked at the Buddha statue in front of him.

The Buddha statue seemed to be looking down at her.

One big and one small.

One has already become a Buddha, the Buddha in heaven, the ultimate destination of every monk’s practice.

A girl who is called a Buddhist girl and a human Buddha by the people. In the hearts of the people, this girl is the Buddha.

Shi Xin knelt in front of the Buddha statue, stretched out his hand, picked up the wooden fish, gently knocked on it, and chanted Buddhist scriptures again and again.

Quiet and solemn.

Little Hundun flew into the hall, looked at his master who seemed to be in a trance, stretched out his wings, and wanted to gently pat the back of her hand, but in the end, Little Hundun retracted his wings and stayed quietly beside her.

A long time after that.

A young girl in a monk's robe kneeled under the Buddha statue. For countless days and nights, and despite countless pilgrims coming and going, the girl never stopped and kept chanting Buddhist scriptures.
