Chapter 8 Miss Zhen

He took a sip of water, put down the cup and said to Uncle Xu: "Uncle, tell me what happened to your boss. I want to hear it first."

Uncle Xu sighed and began to explain the whole story. The cause of the incident was just because of a private room.

The son of the county magistrate arrived first and took the last private seat. After a while, the daughter of the candidate for the provincial examination came in and insisted on taking the last private seat as well.

In fact, anyone with a discerning eye would know that this was not because of a seat, but because the county magistrate's son was engaged to Mr. Luo.

Everyone in the county knew that Mr. Zhen had always wanted Mr. Luo to be his son-in-law. He himself was a juren, and his son-in-law was also a juren at a young age and was also handsome, which would bring honor to the Zhen family.

But Mr. Luo just happened to fall in love with the county magistrate's younger brother. If it was a girl, it would have been fine, but it had to be a boy.

At this point, Uncle Xu realized what he had said and hurriedly explained: "Lingze, I don't mean to look down on you, little brother."

Gu Lingze knew that Uncle Xu had no ill intentions, so he let him continue.

Miss Zhen has always been proud of herself. She didn't expect that she would lose to a young man. She had been eager to find trouble, and today she deliberately found an excuse to teach this young man a lesson.

As soon as the county magistrate's son sat down, Miss Zhen followed him upstairs in a haughty manner and said in his direction, "You guys are not afraid of polluting the place. You bring all the dirty and smelly food to the private seats. I don't think your business will be good."

These words were extremely harsh and seemed to be directed at the waiter, but everyone present knew that she was making a veiled attack.

Before she could continue speaking, the boy looked up in her direction.

Just as he was about to open his mouth to scold, Mr. Luo's voice came from behind him, "Ming Ge'er, let's go."

Ming Ge'er put down the teacup in his hand, called his followers and walked towards the stairs.

At this time, Miss Zhen's face had turned red and her body was shaking slightly.

At this time, Mr. Luo's voice came: "As a woman, you are so harsh in your words and deeds. I know that your words and deeds represent your father's reputation."

"If you belittle others like this, people will only say that your father did a bad job of educating his daughter." As soon as he finished speaking, he was seen leading Ming Ge'er out of the restaurant.

Miss Zhen's face was originally just red, but now it is almost as black as the bottom of a pot.

Everyone knew that she had always been proud of being the daughter of a juren, but Juren Luo just poked at her wherever it hurt.

Miss Zhen's original admiration suddenly turned into overwhelming hatred, and she returned home with gritted teeth.

As a result, something happened after a few days. Miss Zhen first let out a heart-wrenching scream at night, and then began to eat non-stop.

She kept stuffing food into her mouth, and her stomach was bulging like she was pregnant, but she still shouted that she was hungry and just wanted to eat.

Mr. Zhen had no choice but to ask the guards to knock the young lady unconscious, but the illness was so strange that even the doctor could not figure out the cause.

It has been five or six days now, and not only have the symptoms not improved at all, they have become even worse.

Miss Zhen used to only eat food, but now she has started to tear up even her quilt and clothes, and put everything into her mouth.

Mr. Zhen directly ordered his servants to block the door of the restaurant, insisting that Miss Zhen’s last time out was to this restaurant, and that she must have encountered something unclean here and that is why this happened.

In fact, Mr. Zhen was too embarrassed to go to the county magistrate to settle the score, so he found an excuse and blamed the restaurant.

When the devils were fighting, the little devils suffered. The boss went to the county government to file a complaint.

Unexpectedly, the county magistrate was also such a scoundrel. He was afraid that Miss Zhen would starve to death. After all, Mr. Zhen's brother-in-law was the magistrate in the provincial capital, and he did not want to offend him.

Mr. Zhen has found a ready-made scapegoat for himself, so why should he take the lead in doing this?

Now the door of the restaurant has been blocked, and the tables, chairs, benches, bowls, plates and tea sets inside are all broken all over the floor.

The owner wanted to sell the store but had no way out. Everyone in the county knew that he had offended Mr. Zhen, and now he had nowhere else to go.

This is the whole process of the incident. After listening to it, Gu Lingze propped up his chin with one hand, knocked on the table with the other hand, and asked with his face tilted: "Does Mr. Zhen have money?"

Uncle Xu didn't expect that he would ask such a question after hearing the story, but he still replied: "The scholar must be much richer than us ordinary people, and the Zhen family was originally a wealthy family, and they have a lot of businesses in the county."

Gu Lingze was very satisfied with this answer, and immediately stood up and said, "That's good, Uncle Xu, let's go."

The Xu family father and son did not expect Gu Lingze to be so straightforward. They were ready to set off without even finishing breakfast. Gu Lingze thought to himself that he did not want to wait even a minute for such a thing as making money from a wealthy family.

Uncle Xu went to borrow an ox cart, Aunt Tao packed ten buns for the children to eat on the way, and Gu Lingze waved to his younger brothers and sisters and set off.

He couldn't eat anything because of the bumpy ride on the ox cart. When he finally reached the county town, he said to Uncle Xu, "You go to the restaurant and wait for me. I will go to the Zhen Mansion by myself."

Uncle Xu hesitated for a while and told him not to force it, as Mr. Zhen was an unreasonable person.

Gu Lingze curled his lips and said, "I knew he was unreasonable, so I didn't let you go with me. Otherwise, he would think that I was hired by you to solve the problem, and you should pay me. He would definitely not pay a penny."

When Uncle Xu heard him say this, he knew that the man was confident. After showing him the way, he turned around and went back to the restaurant.

Gu Lingze walked for a while and arrived at the gate of Zhen Mansion. He looked up to observe the atmosphere and smiled. He knew that his previous guess was correct.

He walked up to the door and knocked. The door opened and a head popped out. The boy looked him up and down and asked, "Who are you looking for?"

"I'm not looking for anyone. I'm here to solve the trouble in your house."

Although Gu Lingze has a handsome face and unique temperament, his clothes are very shabby.

Some people look down on others and only respect the clothes but not the people themselves. The servant in front of him is one of them.

"Get out of here now. How dare any Tom, Dick or Harry find his way to our Zhen Mansion?" After saying this, he waved his hand in disgust and slammed the door shut.

Gu Lingze was not angry either. After all, one couldn't argue with a watchdog.

After saying that, he took out a piece of talisman paper from his sleeve, folded it into the shape of a paper crane in a few strokes, and then blew at the paper crane, and the paper crane actually moved.

Gu Lingze whispered something to the paper crane, and the paper crane rubbed his palm and flew towards the Zhen Mansion.

In order to appear serious, Mr. Zhen came out to greet him in person. Unexpectedly, when he opened the door, he only saw a young man standing in front of the door. He could not help but be stunned. This was so different from what he had imagined.

When the paper bird flew into the main hall, he was frowning about his daughter.

If this continues, the whole county will know that her daughter is crazy, and there's no telling what others will think behind her back.

He casually raised his head and broke out in a cold sweat, seeing a yellow paper bird staring at him.

Although the paper bird has no eyes, he has this feeling.
