Chapter 103 Mutation

Zhang Keqi ordered, "Have you checked all the brothers outside?"

The driver nodded and said:

"We checked. Aside from ours and theirs, the entire harbor is empty. There's no ambush. There were only a few fishermen occupying a warehouse over there, but we drove them away. Apart from that, there wasn't even a chicken."

Zhang Keqi nodded, picked up his phone, and dialed a number. The call was established immediately. He took the lead and said, "I'm at the port now. I'll have your people come out to meet me. As we agreed yesterday, you'll lead the team. If you're not here, I'll leave immediately."

"Don't worry, Brother Zhang, I'm on the boat." Lu Qing said from the other side, "As long as your subordinate Cui Lixue has paid me, I will definitely complete the task. Where are you? Turn on the hazard lights, and I'll bring my men over immediately."

Zhang Keqi hung up the phone and said, "Go back. Keep the car running and turn on the hazard lights."

Then he took out a pistol from his waist, loaded the bullet and turned on the safety.

The driver looked at him and asked quietly, "This person was introduced by Cui Lixue. Do you think he's unreliable?"

"It doesn't matter whether he's reliable or not. The guy he introduced is a drug dealer who sells drugs while he's using them." Zhang Keqi asked in return, "You've been driving in Wanghai for so many years, you must have met a lot of people, right?"

The driver nodded in understanding, quickly expressing his loyalty, "Poison dogs really can't be trusted. I'll have my men on high alert and conduct another search. Don't worry, we've got four men nearby, carefully selected according to your wishes. To maintain confidentiality, we haven't deployed too many, but they're all trusted and experienced."

Zhang Keqi nodded and said, "Pick someone who can fight and come aboard with me later."

......

In the entire silent port, only the dazzling light of the black car's headlights flashed, and several figures flashed in front, walking closer and closer towards Zhang Keqi, and the gun in his hand was gripped tighter and tighter.

He switched his hazard lights to low beam and took a closer look at the man's appearance. He confirmed that it was Lu Qing, whom he had seen in the photo. Without letting up, he shouted, "Are you the Boss Lu?"

"It's me!" Lu Qing shouted, fearing that the other party couldn't hear him. "If you ask me, there's no need to be so nervous. We're here to meet, not to fight!"

Zhang Keqi looked coldly at Lu Qing and the two people beside him through the car window. After a while, he put away his pistol, got out of the car, and then waved to the dark corner that seemed to be empty. A man jogged out and followed Zhang Keqi.

Lu Qing's mouth twitched slightly, and he said meaningfully, "You're making things difficult for me. We agreed to leave in secret, but you've made such a big fuss and surrounded us all. The whole world knows about it. If anything goes wrong, I won't be responsible."

"I'll just take one," Zhang Keqi said with a smile, "The journey is long, and we're going out. I can't be without anyone to call upon, right? I hope you understand."

Lu Qing looked at the passenger ship behind him, then at Zhang Keqi, shook his head helplessly, and said, "Please leave. If you leave too late, other troubles will arise, which will be bad."

"Lead the way."

Several people moved quickly towards the passenger ship, and seemed to be stepping on the ship with fear, but in the silence, they sat down steadily in the shed, and then sat there in silence.

The passenger ship was not big, but there were only six people on board, including those brought by Zhang Keqi, which was more than enough. The layout was quite good, and it was obviously the exclusive vehicle of some wealthy family.

There is a special private room with clear lighting and a one-way glass in front. He sits down and savors it carefully, but he doesn't feel safe. He has to draw the curtains, leaving a small gap. He can see the situation outside through the gap, and can also see his men loyally guarding the door, alert to everything around them.

He arranged it all by himself. He also knew this person. He was an old brother who had followed him for many years.

"Brother Zhang," Lu Qing wanted to get closer, but was stopped by the bodyguard. He could only stand outside and shout, "We've prepared food and drinks. They're all outside. If you need anything, just tell me and I'll pass it on to your gatekeeper and have him bring it to you."

"Thank you for your kindness. Just bring some in." Zhang Keqi responded.

Soon, his men came in with a tray and placed it on the dining table. Zhang Keqi opened his chopsticks and began to pick up the rice in the bowl, but he took advantage of the situation and poured the rice into his sleeves. He then picked up the glass of wine, tilted his head back and poured it down, wetting his collar, but not a single sip went into his mouth.

He had searched this place before and there were no cameras, but to be on the safe side, he had to act more realistically.

It took him more than ten minutes, and after he had wasted most of the good wine and food, he put down his chopsticks, knocked on the door, and then fell asleep.

He has been hanging around in this damn place called Wanghai for so many years, and the reason he has been able to survive until now without any harm is not because of his power or ruthlessness, but precisely because of his caution that makes everyone have to be on guard against him.

After this play was performed, if the food was not poisonous, that would be the best and everyone would be happy. He left Wanghai safely, went to the next door, followed the planned route, got into a car with a cloned license plate, and then disappeared completely.

If it is poisonous, then he will lie here and wait for them to reveal their true intentions. No matter whether they sink into the sea or melt, they will have to come in to collect the bodies. If there is any movement outside, he will take the initiative and kill them all.

Zhang Keqi tightened his clothes, tucked the gun underneath, then lay on the bed with his head facing the window, his eyes staring at the gap.

One minute, two minutes, there was nothing unusual outside. Three minutes, five minutes, it was still calm. As time passed, after more than ten minutes, he actually felt a little sleepy and dozed off unconsciously. Although his eyes were open, his eyelids drooped from time to time.

It is impossible for people who do not keep training all year round to stay alert at all times.

It was not until half an hour later that a dull thumping sound was heard, instantly waking him up.

Zhang Keqi remained silent and looked out the window, only to see that his men had disappeared. At the edge of his blind spot, there was a pool of blood. The sea breeze was so salty that he seemed to be able to smell the rust.

Silenced?!

He was so frightened that he took out his pistol, pointed it out the window, and was ready to shoot at any time.

But, where are the people?

There was no one in his sight. If he killed his men, he would be the next one to be killed. But why was there no movement outside now? Not even a single person could be seen?

Then Zhang Keqi plucked up his courage and used the barrel of his gun to push open the curtains little by little, but there was still no one on the deck.

Just as he was concentrating on observing the outside, something strange happened!

The window in front of Zhang Keqi suddenly cracked, caved inward, and then exploded, sending countless fragments flying. A large piece happened to scratch his cheek, leaving a long streak of blood.

A hand came through the glass, grabbed his hand and snatched his gun.

Bang! Zhang Keqi was carried away and flew out, his head hitting the edge of the window hard, and he instantly passed out.

Before he fell into coma, his last thought was: It's over.
