Chapter 17: Greedy Family

Josh curled his lips.

On the bed, the breathing of the two people gradually calmed down.

Josh "unconsciously" rolled over towards Forle, his arms hanging on her chest.

Fall woke up instantly and grabbed the whip beside the bed.

Qiao Xi rubbed her neck unconsciously and muttered, "Sister, it's so hot..."

Foul snorted expressionlessly: "Burn you to death."

[Ding! Gained 10 points of Favor's favorability. Current favorability is 50.]

Qiao Xi was covered with a quilt, and her whole body was sweating. She couldn't help but frown and kicked the quilt off: "It's hot..."

The outstretched foot kicked Forle's leg.

Faul looked at her, completely exposed outside, facing the air conditioner, and turned his back to her in annoyance: "You'll be so hot!"

After a while, she turned back and fiercely covered Qiao Xi with the quilt: "You're so hot! You're so hot! You're so hot!"

[Ding! Gained 10 points of favorability with Forle, currently 60 points.]

Josh finally calmed down, and his frown soon relaxed.

Only then did Fore lie down and continue to sleep.

An hour later, Josh woke up from another nightmare: "No!"

Forle, who was awakened, said: "..."

Josh leaned towards Forle weakly: “Sister Forle, I’m scared.”

Fowle: "Go away."

Josh used his hands and feet to wrap around her: "I dreamed that my parents didn't want me anymore."

Fore glanced at her and said, "It's no surprise that you're so annoying."

Josh puffed her lips, with a hurt look on her face. She rested her head on Forle's shoulder a little sadly: "My parents died when I was very young."

Hearing this, Fort froze, and so did she.

Josh blinked in the darkness. "I grew up with foster parents on the Garbage Planet. You know what? I thought I was a child who was separated from my parents. I waited and waited on the Garbage Planet every day for my parents to come and find me."

"On the day I met my parents, I saw their adopted daughter. Only then did I realize that they didn't look for me because they had a better alternative."

"They all like my sister, not me."

"My sister has been raised by my biological parents since she was a child, enjoying a lot of love. Whether it's education, food, or clothing, she has everything I can't even imagine."

"She enjoyed everything I had, including my parents' love, on my behalf. I thought she would give it back to me when I returned home."

"But I was wrong. No one welcomed me back, including my parents. So I began to hate my sister. It was because of her existence that my parents disliked me. I wish she would disappear from this world..."

A dark light flashed across Fore's eyes. She opened her eyes in the darkness, dazed and absent-minded.

Darkness is the best cover, she can reveal her emotions unscrupulously in the darkness.

Josh continued: "But I can't kill my sister. I'm afraid I will regret it. She is so cute and so gentle. No one in the world will not love her."

She deliberately brought up topics about her family and sister to guide Fore's emotions.

Sure enough, Fall quickly took the bait.

She suddenly said, "What would happen if I killed him? Nothing would change."

Josh tilted his head strangely, a little naive: “Why?”

Fore's eyes were filled with nostalgia: "I also had a sister before, but she died. But my mother didn't treat me any better because of that. So, don't even think about it."

A dark gleam flashed across Josh’s eyes.

It is clearly stated in Fore's diary that an octopus sneaked into her home and killed her parents and sister. Why did she say that her mother did not treat her any better after her sister died?

Her mother should be gone.

Josh frowned slightly.

Could it be that everything in the diary and newspaper was wrong?

Her mother is still alive?

No, even if the newspaper report was wrong, the diary would not lie.

A diary is the best evidence to peek into a person's inner world. There was no need for Fall to lie in his own diary.

Could there be some twist behind the diary?

She wanted to say something, but For had already pushed her away, turned his back, and said in a cold voice, "It's late, go to bed, or get out."

Josh knew he couldn't rush things, so he quickly relaxed, closed his eyes, and went to sleep.

The Augustine family members who were watching the live broadcast heard Josh's complaints in the copy, and instead of feeling guilty, they became disgusted.

Mother Cherry's face was filled with indignation: "Why do I hate her? What else do you want me to do after I bring her back to the Augustine family?"

Father Granham couldn't help but sneer: "How greedy! At least she has food and shelter in the Augustine family now. Otherwise, why would you let her go back to Garbage Planet to eat garbage?"

Cromwell, her brother, patted Susanna's head soothingly. "Don't be sad. I swear, even if you are not related to us by blood, you will always be our favorite little princess, my sister. Even if she is related to us by blood, she is just a beast with the same blood. She is not even one ten-thousandth as good as you."

Another brother, Dalton, also nodded. "That's right! She dared to be jealous of you, hurt you, and insult you with the most vicious words, but it was only because of her lowly self-esteem. You are elegant and bright, and you are the pearl of our Glenelg City. No one would dislike you."

Susanna was comforted and gave each of her two brothers a light kiss on the face, then turned around and threw herself into the arms of her mother Cherie.

She looked at the person on the live broadcast screen, and the smile on her face faded a little. "But, she used a trick to trick me and made me quit the game early. All I got were the worst props, and the quality of the synthesized weapons was too poor..."
