Chapter 22: The Mermaid King’s Past

"No, you won't." Alan suddenly raised his eyes to look at her, with a complicated look in his eyes: "You won't, right?"

Josh realized that the plot line of "Saving Fore's Tortured Soul" was progressing, so he let Alan go.

Alan slowly approached Forle, stood in front of her, and touched Forle's face sadly and happily: "Sister, I am already dead, and I also like the state of death. Please let me go."

Fore's eyes were red.

Alan hugged Forle tenderly: "Sister, I don't blame you. I would rather die than live in such pain. You set me free. You redeemed me."

"Don't say it... don't say it..." For hugged her painfully: "I'm sorry, Alan, I'm sorry, I didn't mean it, I didn't mean it!"

Alan smiled, his eyes sparkling: "Sister, death is not scary, it is free, I have never blamed you."

Only then did Josh roughly guess the hidden plot.

Newspapers and diaries said that Alan's family was killed by an octopus that sneaked in.

But obviously, this matter is related to Forle.

It is very likely that Alan was deliberately killed by For. In order to numb herself and alleviate her guilt, she tried to turn herself into an extremely bad person, brainwash herself, and make herself feel more at ease.

For kneeled on the ground in agony, breaking down in tears: "Stop it! Stop it! I'm sorry, Alan, I shouldn't be jealous of your parents' favoritism, nor should I be jealous of your talent for taming animals. I just wanted to let the octopus in to humiliate you, but I didn't expect it to kill you and my parents. I'm sorry, I'm really sorry..."

Ailan wiped her tears distressedly: "Sister, don't be sad. Compared to living in pain, death is a relief. I don't have to be forced to kill cute animals anymore, I don't have to endure the pain brought by asthma anymore, I don't have to listen to my parents and wear revealing clothes to please men during performances. Thank you, I really mean it."

Fore covered his face in pain and shook his head, crying until he lost his voice.

Seeing this, Alan couldn't help but redden his eyes, and squatted down: "Sister, can you take a look at me?"

For whimpered, not having the courage to look up.

Alan kissed Forle's head tenderly: "Sister, please let me go. I want to turn into the wind and see the beauty of the world, the waves and the tides. I didn't disappear, I just got my freedom in advance."

When For heard Alan's gentle voice, he finally couldn't help but look up at her.

When she met Alan's clear and bright eyes, she couldn't hold back. The pain in her heart reached its peak, and she hugged Alan fiercely: "I was wrong, Alan, don't leave me, don't leave me!"

Alan waited patiently for For to stop crying before saying, "Sister, if you really feel guilty, can you do me a favor?"

"What?" Fore looked up quickly.

Alan looked at the animals with some sadness: "Can you release all those animals? And the ones in the water, we haven't deprived other animals of their right to freedom."
