"Uncle Hua, if you're not going to eat it, then give it to me."
Cheng Yang, standing in the group, poked his head out and grinned, revealing a bright white smile as he made a suggestion.
He wasn't there to participate in the robbery; he just wanted to take the opportunity to buy a small pancake, which he had been craving for the past few days because of its aroma.
Unfortunately, Uncle Xia wouldn't let them out.
Having finally found an opportunity, he had to taste what this pancake was like so that those two girls who had broken into the graveyard in the middle of the night would also want to eat pancakes.
"Uncle Hua, if you don't say anything, I'll take that as your agreement."
Cheng Yang took the pancake away with his sinful hand, and before Hua Li could speak, he took a bite of it.
At this moment, a myriad of emotions welled up in my heart.
The aroma of noodles and eggs acted as a hook, firmly capturing Cheng Yang's heart. The salty and savory sauce flowed in his mouth, while the vegetables sandwiched in it brought a touch of freshness.
The pancakes, of just the right thickness, are wrapped around a variety of side dishes. With each side dish added to the pancake's texture, the flavor reaches a new climax.
His taste buds were delighted, and Cheng Yang stopped chewing.
"What's wrong? Is there something wrong with the pancake?"
Hua Li quickly asked.
He had questioned Uncle Xia's earlier claim that there was something wrong with the pancake, but judging from Cheng Yang's expression, he figured there was a bigger problem.
"Waaah..."
With his mouth stuffed with the pancake, Cheng Yang couldn't speak. To avoid misunderstanding, he shook his head vigorously and took another bite.
The pancake settled in my stomach, and a warm feeling spread from there.
Cheng Yang swallowed hard, his eyes lowered, concealing the tears welling up in them.
"It's delicious, Uncle Hua, this pancake is really delicious."
He kept repeating these words, as many memories surfaced in his mind.
Some things he remembered early on, while others came to mind because of the pancakes.
So it turns out... he really wasn't wrong.
I'm already dead.
The overwhelming sea destroyed everything. He remembered being trapped under a large pillar, unable to call out to anyone.
He heard the villagers screaming outside.
He watched the seawater rise inch by inch, from his fingertips to his chest, and finally submerge his head.
He strained to lift his head, trying to get some air for himself.
He wanted to live.
But the relentless tide surged on and carried him away.
Tears welled up in Cheng Yang's eyes and fell onto the pancake. He looked at Uncle Hua and the other villagers.
They were puzzled, as if they didn't understand why he was reacting so strongly.
"Uncle Hua, you should try it too. This pancake is so delicious, I even cried while eating it."
Wiping away his tears, Cheng Yang vaguely guessed why Uncle Xia hadn't stopped them this time.
They should go.
Ten years is enough.
Seeing Cheng Yang's tearful appearance, Lu Wu would have admired his acting skills if she didn't know that she hadn't hired anyone.
Her pancakes can even bring tears to your eyes.
But...
"Aren't the pancakes delicious?"
Lu Wu smiled and took the initiative to start a conversation.
"Mmm, it's delicious. Can I have another one, boss?"
Cheng Yang asked, his voice hoarse and slightly choked.
The complex emotions in her slightly red eyes were completely hidden, and she couldn't let the other villagers find out yet.
"Of course, but the money..."
Lu Wu rubbed his hands together and glanced at the price tag on the signboard.
She'd already eaten the first pancake, but she still hadn't received her money.
"Ten spirit stones per share? Why don't you just rob someone?"
Some villagers were unhappy.
In their mortal village, they produce and sell many things themselves, and they usually spend money in gold and silver. They wouldn't use spirit stones to buy pancakes.
Buying a pancake for ten spirit stones? Isn't that just throwing money away?
Lu Wu blinked her big eyes, deep in thought. These people were really into their role-playing.
They're still acting.
They said they'd steal pancakes, but they really didn't pay.
"or……"
Lu Wu wouldn't bother with a pancake; she was just considering whether to cooperate with the group and continue the scene when she saw Cheng Yang's bright smile.
"It's okay, I have money."
"Uncle Hua, consider this pancake on my behalf. Boss Lu, give each of them one. I'll go get the money."
After Cheng Yang finished speaking, he turned around and left without giving anyone a chance to refuse.
"Where did this kid get the money?"
Hua Li muttered to herself, her lips twitching uncontrollably as she met Lu Wu's expectant gaze.
The robbery can't go on anymore.
After Cheng Yang's actions, they were no longer in the right, and they weren't going to try to freeload.
"Uh, I'd like a pancake, and some spicy strips too."
Spicy strips?
I've never had it before, I have to try it.
"OK."
Business is coming in, and Lu Wu is very excited.
He swung the shovel, occasionally glancing back at where he had come from.
It's a bit strange; all the customers who came today were unfamiliar faces.
Could it be that his customers got the time wrong? Otherwise, why hasn't the page been refreshed yet?
...
Somewhere outside Xiaohai Village, a group of people were wandering around, extremely agitated as they looked at the graveyard they hadn't yet found their way out of.
"Isn't there any expert in formations who can come and see if we're trapped in some kind of formation?"
Can you?
"I don't know how."
"You sounded very reasonable just now, I thought you were quite capable."
"If I were able, we would still be here."
The pointless conversation continued.
Zeng Si held his wife and child's hands, feeling a bit of a headache.
Having finally arrived in Yuanhai City and even managed to find out about Boss Lu, why are we getting lost on the way?
This cemetery is like an impenetrable fortress; there's no way to get out.
