Chapter 122 No Need

Han Wanying returned home and prepared to rest. She had to go to the county early tomorrow. She didn't know when those people would get up, so Han Wanying went to wait for them in advance.

The next morning, Han Wanying packed up early and prepared to go out.

Han Wanying rode her bike, preparing to go to the Youth League Home to wait for He Zhen. Unexpectedly, when Han Wanying arrived, He Zhen had already packed up and was waiting for her at the door.

Han Wanying saw him riding a bicycle forward. She thought she had arrived quite early, but she didn't expect that He Zhen was waiting in front.

Han Wanying rode up and said to He Zhen, "Good morning, He Zhiqing. You must have been waiting for a long time."

He Zhen looked at Han Wanying and said with a smile, "We won't have to wait long. Let's go."

The two of them rode their bicycles to the county. Along the way, they didn't communicate much, and neither of them was talkative, so the atmosphere was quite good.

When they arrived at the county, Han Wanying first took He Zhen to the Public Security Bureau.

When the two walked in, Captain Wu happened to be there, and Han Wanying walked up to greet Captain Wu.

Captain Wu was a little surprised when he saw Han Wanying appearing in front of him, because they had clearly agreed yesterday that Han Wanying didn't need to come to the Public Security Bureau and could go directly to the guesthouse.

Captain Wu saw He Zhen behind Han Wanying and knew that Han Wanying was probably worried, so he asked, "Is there something wrong, little girl Han?"

Han Wanying said, "Didn't you need a translator yesterday? I brought one here for you."

Captain Wu was delighted when he heard Han Wanying's words, and he quickly said, "You've helped me a lot. I was just worried about this."

Then Captain Wu walked directly past Han Wanying and came to He Zhen's side, extending his hand: "Comrade He, am I remembering correctly?"

He Zhen also reached out and shook Captain Wu's hand, saying, "No, hello, Captain Wu."

Captain Wu smiled and said, "On behalf of the Public Security Bureau, I welcome Comrade He to join us. Time is urgent, so let's go to the guesthouse first. I'll tell you about the work arrangements on the way."

The young police officer next to him couldn't help but whisper to Captain Wu: "Captain, this hasn't been inspected yet."

Captain Wu glanced at the young police officer and said, "Don't you see who brought you here? Do you think Comrade Renhan is as unreliable as you guys? Learn something every day. Comrade Renhan is a few years younger than you. Look at yourselves, and then look at the others. Can you please be more careful?"

The young police officer muttered quietly, "How dare you criticize me? Didn't you recruit those people? You're almost the same."

Captain Wu hit the young policeman on the head and said, "What are you grumbling about all day? Don't you have anything to do? Go get some work, or you'll lose your salary."

The young policeman listened to Captain Wu's words, shrank his neck, and even turned away.

Then Captain Wu looked at He Zhen with a smile on his face, "Let's go, I'll take you there."

Then the three of them rode their bicycles to the guesthouse. Along the way, Captain Wu rearranged things. Since there were two people now, Han Wanying's task was a little easier.

On the way, Captain Wu jokingly said to Han Wanying, "Han girl, you don't know that after you left the town yesterday, that foreign youth named Werner asked for your contact information."

"Remember, we only understood after you spoke in Chinese. But we didn't have any contact information. They only calmed down after I told them you would be here today."

Han Wanying smiled awkwardly, not knowing how to answer.

He Zhen tightened his grip on the bicycle, pursed his lips slightly, and looked at Han Wanying sideways. Seeing the indifference on Han Wanying's face, he felt relieved.

Captain Wu was a man who knew how to find a topic, so he continued, "Girl Han, that boy looks pretty good. You should get to know him. You're not a kid anymore."

Han Wanying said calmly, "I don't have that thought, nor is there any need. The countries are different. I haven't thought about marrying in other countries. China is pretty good."

Captain Wu nodded and said, "That's right. It's too far. It might take a long time to get back. Our Chinese youth are pretty good too."

Han Wanying smiled and said, "Captain Wu, what are you thinking about? I really don't have that in mind. I feel pretty good in my current state. Living alone, I don't have to worry about food and clothing, and I don't have to deal with family relationships. This is my favorite state of life. Why do I have to put myself in the shackles of marriage?"

Captain Wu also smiled and said, "You are just too young. If you meet someone you like and that person happens to like you back, that feeling is wonderful. You will also like his daily life and his family relationships, and marriage will not be a shackle."

Han Wanying listened to Captain Wu's words, her eyes calm as she said softly, "No need."

Captain Wu didn't hear Han Wanying's words, so he turned around and asked, "Ah? Han girl, what did you just say?"

Han Wanying shook her head and said, "Nothing, let's go."

Captain Wu didn't doubt it and turned around and continued walking forward.

Captain Wu didn't hear it, but He Zhen did. She kept her eyes on Han Wanying, paying attention to her expression and words.

He Zhen looked at Han Wanying. He just saw Han Wanying's eyes. They were not confused, but indifferent. He Zhen didn't understand. She was obviously a 16 or 17-year-old girl. Why did he always feel that she seemed to have experienced a lot? Her way of doing things and her style of treating people were not that of a little girl.

He felt that Han Wanying was very far away from him, as if he would never be able to catch up with her.

Soon, they arrived at the guesthouse. When they arrived, the foreigners had not yet gotten up, so Captain Wu went to arrange accommodation for Han Wanying.

After everything was done, Han Wanying was asked to pack up her things, and He Zhen was asked to go back to the brigade this afternoon to get a letter of introduction, and stay in the guesthouse at that time to avoid the two of them running around.

Han Wanying packed up her things and walked out of the guesthouse, only to see that many people had already arrived in the hall.

Han Wanying walked closer and saw that Zhou Yuan, He Zhen, and Captain Wu were sitting in the innermost seat, the three of them drinking tea.

Han Wanying raised her eyebrows. Looking at He Zhen and Zhou Yuan chatting, it seemed that the two of them were very familiar with each other.
