The two of them returned home in a noisy manner, and He Ting collapsed on the stool as soon as she got home.
"Don't mention it, giving gifts is quite tiring. My face is frozen from smiling."
Han Wanying looked at He Ting and said, "You should take a rest first. I'll go cook lunch. Remember to call Yan Zhiqing and He Zhiqing later. I've prepared their meals."
He Ting heard Han Wanying's words and asked in confusion: "Didn't you say you would treat me to a meal? Why did you invite them?"
Han Wanying replied, "Didn't I say I'd treat them to a meal when we moved last time? I didn't get to do that, so today I had the chance, so I invited them over for dinner."
He Ting nodded and said, "Okay, I'll go tell them later."
He Ting rested for a while, and thinking that it was about time, she planned to call Yan Shuojing and the others.
Before I even walked out of the door, I heard Yan Shuojing knocking on the door.
"Comrade Han, He Zhiqing."
When He Ting heard the voice, she hurried forward to open the door.
Yan Shuojing saw He Ting opening the door and said with a smile, "He Zhiqing, are you eating at Comrade Han's house today? Then we won't prepare your meal."
Ever since He Ting and Yan Shuojing talked it out, He Ting has been eating alone with Yan Shuojing.
He Ting smiled and replied, "I was just planning to come look for you guys. Comrade Han asked you to come over for dinner, and he's prepared your lunch."
Yan Shuojing said cheerfully, "That's great! I'll go call Brother He over right now. Wait for me."
He Zhen was just about to cook rice when he saw Yan Shuojing rushing over and saying, "Brother He, don't bother. Comrade Han asked us to come over for dinner. Everything is ready."
When He Zhen heard Yan Shuojing's words, he put down the bowl of rice in his hand and said, "Okay, I'll clean it up."
Yan Shuojing looked at He Zhen teasingly and said, "Brother He, you shouldn't be that serious. It's just a meal, but you have to make it so grand and clean up."
He Zhen glanced at Yan Shuojing coldly and said, "Get lost."
Yan Shuojing smiled and said, "Okay, go ahead and do your work. I won't bother you anymore."
He Zhen packed up for a while and then followed Yan Shuojing to Han Wanying's house.
He Ting ran to open the door for Yan Shuojing and the others.
Han Wanying had almost finished preparing lunch by this time and called out from the kitchen, "He Ting, clean up and get ready for dinner."
He Ting heard Han Wanying's words and answered loudly, "Okay, I'll be right there."
Then he said to Yan Shuojing and the others, "That's the dining area. You go in and sit down first. I'll go help Xiaoying serve some food."
He Zhen looked at He Ting and said, "I'll go with you."
Yan Shuojing also smiled and said, "Yeah, how can we let you two girls be so busy running around while we are sitting inside the house."
He Ting nodded and said, "Okay then."
Then the three of them went into the kitchen together. Han Wanying looked at the three people who came in, looked up and greeted Yan Shuojing and He Zhen.
He Ting said, "Xiaoying, how can I help you?"
Han Wanying pointed to her cupboard and said, "Please help me take out the dishes. They are in that cupboard."
He Zhen also asked, "Comrade Han, how can we help you?"
In fact, there was nothing that needed help, but since He Zhen had spoken, Han Wanying looked at the stove and then spoke to them.
"Just help me carry all the dishes over here, and then you don't have to come over. I can bring the rest later."
He Zhen looked at the dishes on the stove, nodded, and then brought two plates of dishes over. Seeing this, Yan Shuojing also brought a plate of dishes over.
After a while, Han Wanying came over with two more plates of dishes. Seeing this, He Zhen quickly stood up and took the dishes from Han Wanying.
He Ting looked at the dishes on the table and said in surprise, "Xiaoying, why did you prepare so many dishes? Why are we making such a grand occasion for just a few of us?"
Han Wanying said with a smile, "I didn't prepare much. Let's eat quickly. There's still soup in the pot."
Han Wanying sat next to He Ting, picked up her chopsticks and motioned everyone to start eating.
He Ting nodded repeatedly after hearing Han Wanying's words, then picked up her chopsticks and started eating. While eating, she said, "Xiaoying, your cooking skills are really good. It's so delicious."
Han Wanying smiled and said, "If you think it tastes good, eat more."
It wasn't just He Ting who was like this. Yan Shuojing and He Zhen also ate very quickly.
He Ting asked, "Xiaoying, how long will you be gone this time?"
Han Wanying replied, "I have to leave this afternoon. I have work to do at the machinery factory tomorrow. An old craftsman wanted to treat me to dinner tonight, so I have to go back early."
He Ting said with a disappointed expression: "Ah, you're only staying for one day? No, less than one day. I was hoping you could stay with me for a while longer."
Han Wanying paused and said, "My work is almost finished. If there are no problems after tomorrow, I can take a break. Spring planting won't be done by then, so it won't be so busy yet. You can go to the county town and spend a few days there."
He Ting looked at Han Wanying with stars in her eyes and said excitedly, "Really? Can I really come?"
Han Wanying looked at He Ting and replied with a smile, "Of course, I have another room in the machinery factory. I'll prepare it for you when you come."
He Ting was even happier when she heard this, and said excitedly, "That's great."
However, He Ting asked worriedly, "But can the captain approve my leave?"
