But on the way back to the ward, they met a little girl who looked a little older than Zaizai. But it might be because Zaizai had been suffering from long-term malnutrition, so he looked thinner than other children of the same age.
The little boy looked at the kimchi in Luo Yue's hand, and a trace of confusion flashed across his eyes.
Han Wanying also noticed that this person was staring at them, or to be more precise, he was staring at the kimchi in their hands.
Finally, the child couldn't help it and came forward to ask Han Wanying, "Sister, sister, can you sell me some of this kimchi?"
"My mom is pregnant and likes to eat something sour now, but we're out of kimchi. Can I trade some with you? I don't want it for nothing."
Han Wanying looked at the little girl in front of her and said with a smile, "Sure. Do you have chopsticks in your lunch box? I'll grab some for you."
The little girl in front of her shook her head and said, "I only have a lunch box now, but no chopsticks. The chopsticks are in my mothers' ward. How about you wait for me, sister? I'll get them right away."
Han Wanying said to the little girl, "This is closer to our ward. Why don't you follow us inside? You happen to have a lunch box with you too."
The little girl nodded. This place was indeed quite far from her mother's ward, and she knew it was not good to let her sister stand there waiting for her.
Han Wanying said softly, "Okay, then come with us."
The little girl looked at Luo Yue and asked, "Sister, why don't you let me hold you?"
Luo Yue said with a smile: "No need, I can carry it."
Han Wanying and the other two quickly returned to the ward, and Luo Xing, who was immersed in reading, quickly raised his head and saw that there was a little girl following behind Han Wanying and the others, looking at them with puzzled eyes.
After coming in, Luo Yue put the kimchi jar in his hand on the table, then quickly took a pair of chopsticks and handed them to Han Wanying.
Han Wanying took the chopsticks with a smile, "Thank you, Zai Zai. Go set up my small dining table so I can eat later."
Luo Yue nodded, then kicked her legs and imitated Han Wanying to set the small dining table for her brother.
Then he said to the little girl next to him: "Give me your lunch box, I'll give you some."
The little girl smiled and nodded, then quickly took out the lunch box and handed it to Han Wanying.
Han Wanying took the lunch box. The aunt gave them a new kimchi jar with a lot of kimchi in it. She gave the little girl almost a whole box of kimchi, but it looked like there was only a little bit of kimchi missing.
Seeing that the lunch box was almost full, Han Wanying asked the little girl, "Do you think this kimchi is enough?"
The little girl nodded and said, "That's enough, thank you, sister."
Han Wanying closed the lunch box with a smile and handed it to the little girl. She also took out two White Rabbit milk candies from her pocket and gave them to the little girl.
"Then take it. Have this candy too."
The little girl looked at the two White Rabbit candies, took the lunch box from Han Wanying's other hand, and said to Han Wanying, "No, I can't take this candy from my sister."
Han Wanying smiled and put the candy into the pocket of the little girl in front of her, saying, "It's okay, you can eat it."
The little girl said embarrassedly: "Thank you, sister. How much is this kimchi? I don't have any money on me right now, but I can ask my grandma to give it to you later."
Han Wanying shook her head gently. "No need. This kimchi was given to me by someone else. I hope it can help your mother. It's free. You've been out for so long, your mother will be worried. Go back quickly."
