Chapter 37 Fainted from Hunger

Han Wanying was thinking about this task while working. Why was it said to solve the problem of eating? Han Wanying thought about it, and then thought about the quarrel that happened earlier at noon. She thought it must be because of cooking.

Han Wanying was thinking when someone beside her suddenly exclaimed, "Li Zhiqing, what's wrong with you? Oh no, Li Zhiqing fainted."

Han Wanying quickly looked back and saw that Li Zhaodi was lying on the ground with someone standing beside her. An aunt from the same group who was nearby was supporting Li Zhaodi.

Wang Qin quickly put down what she was holding, trotted over, looked at Li Zhaodi's expression, and said quickly, "Send her to the team doctor quickly."

Seeing her aunt struggling to drag Li Zhaodi, Han Wanying put down her things, walked over and said, "Please help me carry her on my back. I'll take her over."

After saying that, the aunt looked at Han Wanying with gratitude. Although they did farm work every day, it was still very tiring to carry an adult for a long distance. Since this was a female educated youth, it was not easy to ask other boys to carry her. When she heard Han Wanying say that she would do it, the aunt breathed a sigh of relief and expressed her gratitude to Han Wanying with her eyes.

He Zhen's eyelids twitched when he saw Han Wanying carrying a person who was almost as tall as herself and walking briskly. He had guessed that Han Wanying was very strong, but now it seemed that she was even stronger than he had imagined.

Aunt Wang Qin was also quite anxious. After all, he was from her group and fainted in the field on the first day of work. If something happened, she, as the group leader, would be in trouble. She felt that these educated youth were more and more troublesome.

However, her aunt in the same group saw how anxious she was, and secretly came over and said something in Wang Qin's ear.

Wang Qin was a little shocked when she heard this, but she was not so anxious anymore.

On the other hand, Han Wanying brought Li Zhaodi to the infirmary. The team doctor happened to be there. Seeing Han Wanying carrying the person in, he hurried out to help.

Han Wanying put the man on the bed and said, "Doctor Zhao, please take a look. He suddenly collapsed while working."

Doctor Zhao examined her and said, "Nothing serious, just fainted from hunger. Some malnutrition."

Malnutrition is normal, most people in this village suffer from it a little, but Han Wanying was surprised that he fainted from hunger.

Doctor Zhao added, "I've never seen this person before. He must be a newly arrived educated youth. How could he have fainted from hunger?"

Han Wanying nodded and replied: "Yes, it's the newly arrived educated youth. As for why he fainted from hunger, I don't know, but..."

Doctor Zhao said, "Alright, since you're an educated youth, Han girl, go find the educated youth leader or Captain Wang. I'll watch over here."

Han Wanying nodded and went out. Han Wanying naturally didn't know who was in charge of the educated youth site, so she chose to find the team leader.

But before they had walked far, they saw Captain Wang and Shi Lei walking towards them quickly. Han Wanying looked in their direction and should have known that Li Zhaodi had fainted and was about to go to the infirmary.

Captain Wang naturally knew about it. After all, Han Wanying didn't hide when she carried the educated youth to the infirmary. Many people saw it and came to find Captain Wang. Captain Wang was also very annoyed when he knew about it. He thought that something bad had happened on the first day, but he still found Shi Lei immediately and quickly came to the infirmary.

Seeing Han Wanying on the road, Captain Wang went up to her and asked, "Han Wanying, how are you? Is everything okay?"

Han Wanying replied: "It's nothing. Doctor Zhao said he fainted from hunger."

When Captain Wang heard this, he looked at Shi Lei with complicated eyes.

When Shi Lei heard the reason and saw the captain's eyes, he lowered his head embarrassedly.

Captain Wang turned around and said to Han Wanying, "Okay, Han girl, you go back first. I'll go over and take a look."

Han Wanying nodded and watched Captain Wang and Shi Lei walking towards the infirmary. She now knew who was in charge of the educated youth site.

Han Wanying saw Captain Wang go to the infirmary and didn't care about it anymore, and continued to go to work.

As soon as they reached the field, Wang Qin came over, took Han Wanying's hand and asked nervously: "Is everything okay?"

Han Wanying nodded and said, "It's nothing. The doctor said he fainted from hunger."

Wang Qin breathed a sigh of relief, glanced at the people next to her, and pulled Han Wanying to whisper, "I know a little bit too. Do you know why she fainted from hunger?"

Han Wanying asked in confusion: "Why?"

Wang Qin pulled Han Wanying to a less conspicuous place and whispered, "Don't the educated youth take turns cooking? I heard it was Huang's turn today, so Huang went home with the one who cooked. Since only one person from each family can go home early, the other educated youth didn't go home after seeing Huang go home. Guess what happened?"

Han Wanying asked, "Then Huang Zhiqing didn't cook it?"

Wang Qin smiled and said, "That's right. It is said that she lay down as soon as she returned and didn't get up until the educated youth came back. When they came back and saw that Huang Zhiqing hadn't cooked, they started making a fuss. But that's not the most outrageous thing. The most outrageous thing is that Huang Zhiqing and Zhao Zhiqing went to cook, and some educated youth helped, while others just rested. The two of them were not convinced. Huang Zhiqing said, 'Why should you rest after all the work? Why do you want me to cook for you?' and insisted that the other educated youth help too. When they heard this, they got even angrier and started making a fuss at noon. In the end, they didn't reach a consensus and didn't eat lunch."

Han Wanying was speechless when she heard this. She thought Huang Xue was really weird. She thought that other educated youth should have something to eat, but Li Zhaodi's family was probably not well off, so she didn't eat anything at noon, so she fainted from hunger as soon as she arrived.

Han Wanying finally understood what the task Xiaoyi had issued meant, but she hadn't figured out how to do it yet.

"You should have heard it at noon. It was quite noisy, and you were so close. But I didn't know about it at first. It was only when someone else passed by and heard it that I told me. Otherwise, I really wouldn't have known. This educated youth Huang is also unreasonable. This new educated youth has caused so much trouble since he arrived. I think there will be more trouble in the future."

Han Wanying agreed in her heart, but she really didn't know about this matter. She said, "Aunt Wang Qin, don't think too much about it. It's not a big deal. It's not your responsibility after all."

Aunt Wang Qin nodded, and then the two of them continued to work.
