"Seeing you return safely, I feel relieved. Who are these two?" After saying this, the fat aunt looked at Han Wanying and He Zhen with cunning eyes.
When Luo Yue saw the aunt coming, she quickly hid behind Han Wanying.
Luo Xing said in a mocking voice, "Auntie, you're still worried about us. Are you telling a joke here? Not to mention, this joke is quite funny."
The fat aunt's face froze when she heard that, then she smiled awkwardly, "Xiaoxing, what are you talking about? You two kids haven't come back yet, so I must be worried about you, right?"
Han Wanying pushed Luo Xing behind her and said calmly, "They said the aunts around here are all good people, and they think it's not good for them to take the money. I heard that no one agreed when the little girl came to borrow money. This little girl is still angry, saying that you are not good people. She even refused to lend money for her brother's medical treatment. Although her brother is indeed dying, I still understand. It must be you aunts who think that little girls really shouldn't have money on their hands."
"I understand. This little girl is ignorant and still fussing over it. Don't blame her."
Then he whispered to Luo Yue who was hiding behind him, "In that case, you should thank this aunt, otherwise you would never have met me. We can't be so heartless."
Luo Xing also realized what Han Wanying said, and then he sneered, "Yes, I should thank my aunt for not saving me."
The fat lady's face turned red when she was told that, but looking at the noble and imposing He Zhen standing next to her, she didn't dare to say anything and could only continue speaking along with Han Wanying's words.
"That's not true. It's not that we didn't want to save her. We didn't lend her money because she was still young. Besides, we didn't have the money at the time. Later, we secretly checked on Xiaoxin's condition and it didn't look serious. If it was serious, we, as neighbors, would not have refused to help her."
Han Wanying nodded and replied with a smile on her face, "That's true. When I met little girl Luo Yue that night, I sent Luo Xing to the hospital. The doctor said that if it had been any later, he might not have been able to be saved. Maybe Luo Xing was still breathing when my aunt saw him."
When the aunt heard this, no matter how thick-skinned she was, she couldn't hold back her smile. Her voice was no longer as gentle as before, but slightly sharp as she said, "How can you speak so harshly, little girl? I was just asking a few questions out of kindness. What's wrong with these girls these days? Do you think you can look down on us just because you have a little money?"
Han Wanying saw that the man in front of her had given up on pretending and sneered, "Is it me who doesn't take you seriously? Didn't you act pretty well before? You ignored the two children and even pretended as if nothing had happened when you knew they couldn't make it through this level and were going to die?"
"If you really care about them, they've been gone for so long. Have any of you bothered to report them to the police? No, right? They didn't do anything. Why are you pretending to be so? You're afraid others won't see your true intentions, right? You're just pretending to be sympathetic."
The aunt's face turned purple after being confronted by Han Wanying. Seeing others pointing at her and looking at Han Wanying's delicate little face, she wanted to step forward and take action.
He Zhen immediately reached out and grabbed the aunt's hand, and said in a cold voice, "Are you going to do something else?"
He Zhen secretly exerted force on his hands, and the fat lady quickly said, "It hurts! Let me go! Someone is hitting someone in broad daylight."
Han Wanying signaled He Zhen to let the person go first. He Zhen understood what she meant and pushed the person away. The aunt almost fell down because of this.
Han Wanying said, "You don't have to put the blame on us. We don't want to dwell on what happened before. It was you who insisted on coming up to us and asking for a scolding. Of course, if you feel we hit you, you can report it to the police. If you have nothing else to do, please get out of the way."
The aunt looked at He Zhen with cold eyes, and the place on her hand that had just been pinched began to hurt again. She didn't dare to stop Han Wanying and the others anymore.
But after Han Wanying entered, he still said stubbornly: "Why are you so fierce? You just rely on your wealth. You don't look like a blessed person. You look like a vixen."
When He Zhen heard these words, his eyes turned fierce and he wanted to leave. Han Wanying grabbed He Zhen and said softly, "It's okay, let her say whatever she wants. It's not like she's losing any meat."
Luo Xing also pouted. He was now quite familiar with Han Wanying, so he started complaining to her, "This Granny Chen is the worst. She has a little grandson at home, about the same age as Zi Zi. Before, when I wasn't home, her little grandson would often bully Zi Zi, but Zi Zi never complained to me. It was only once that I came home early and discovered that they were throwing rocks at my house."
"I was furious and ran to their house to argue. To my surprise, Granny Chen told me that her grandson was doing good for the people and that we were all bad elements. Her grandson was just doing something righteous. People like me and my sister should have died like our parents. It was the country's mercy that spared us, but at heart we were still bad elements."
"She also said that her grandson would be just like his father and would become a good officer in the future. She said that because Grandma Zhao had a son who was a soldier, everyone around her listened to her more. Also, at noon, the children would play with her grandson and team up to deal with Zaizai. So after that, I didn't let Zaizai go out to play."
