"You!" The man turned and watched his customers flee one by one. He was about to explode in anger, but the thugs still looked at him mockingly, as if they were just waiting for him to lose his temper. His chest heaved, as if he was suppressing or building up his anger. As an honest man, he couldn't protect his daughter, nor could he do business in peace. Tears were about to fall, but he held them back. He couldn't lose his last bit of dignity.
"Hey, you, get out of here. We're eating the barbecue here." One of the thugs, seeing Xu Chen still sitting there, tried to kick him out, but Xu Chen ignored him and continued eating the lamb skewers. He had to admit, they tasted great. Seeing that Xu Chen was being unreasonable, the thugs called over their brothers.
"Hey guys, there's a naughty kid here, come quick."
As soon as he finished speaking, the thugs who had previously harassed Qin Yi instantly surrounded her, and the surrounding crowd also formed a large circle, as if waiting for some good show to unfold. Seeing his customer being attacked, Qin Gensheng drew his knife, intending to help, but stopped at the last moment. The leader of the thugs said to Xu Chen, "Are you sure you want us to call for help?"

Several thugs stayed behind to watch over Xu Chen, while the leader stepped out of the encirclement to call the so-called Young Master Li. After making the call, he returned to his original spot, looking at the lone Xu Chen. Xu Chen wasn't in a hurry; he took out a cigarette and puffed on it. This matter had to be resolved completely today. He might shoot and execute that Young Master Li; now, he was just waiting for him to walk right into their trap.
Less than twenty minutes later, their young master Li led more than twenty people to surround the barbecue stall, all surrounding Xu Chen. Qin Yi didn't dare to look in Xu Chen's direction. She was too weak, she and her family were too weak. In a moment of youthful impulsiveness, she wanted to rush up to help, but her father's pulling brought her back to her senses. She felt helpless and guilty.
"Young Master Li is here, kid." Li Qiangsheng's lackey made a point of informing Xu Chen. Li Qiangsheng himself looked at Xu Chen with disdain. He turned to Qin Yi and surrounded her with several of his men. "Sister Yi, we meet again."
Qin Yi, suppressing her fear, said loudly, "Don't call me Yi-mei, I don't know you!"
"Yi-mei, why are you doing this? After we get together, I'll definitely help solve your family's problems." Li Qiang looked at the beautiful Qin Yi, his lust getting the better of him. After saying these sweet nothings, he reached out to touch Qin Yi, but Xu Chen blocked his hand and stood in front of her.
"So that's why you like this girl."
"I thought he was a tiger, but I didn't expect he was just blinded by love."
"That's understandable. Who hasn't been in love when they were young?"
The surrounding crowd buzzed with discussion, pointing and whispering about Xu Chen and Qin Yi. Qin Yi stared blankly at Xu Chen in front of her, her mind reeling. Did she know this boy? Why was he helping her? Was it really true, as the people around them said, that he liked her?
"Kid, are you looking for death?" Holding his hand, which had been slapped and was now sore, Li Qiangsheng was furious. He immediately wanted to order his thugs to beat up Xu Chen. But when the thugs tried to attack him, Xu Chen stood up, picked up the stool he was sitting on, and slapped them all to the ground. Then, he looked at Li Qiangsheng with a half-smile and said, "Anyone else? I haven't had enough of beating him up yet."
"You think you can fight? Fine, I'll show you what fighting is." Li Qiangsheng was furious at the arrogant Xu Chen. He immediately pulled out his phone to call for backup, then kept a close eye on Xu Chen to prevent him from escaping. Xu Chen smiled indifferently and turned to walk towards Qin Yi.
"Boss, the bill, including the cost of that stool."
Qin Yi looked at him with complicated emotions and said, "No need, big brother, you've done so much for me, how can I accept your money again?"
"No, no, no, one thing at a time. What I did for you was what I should do. Business is business, and the two shouldn't be confused." Xu Chen opened WeChat, scanned 500 yuan and sent it over, then continued, "You two, father and daughter, go first. I will definitely resolve this trouble today."
"No, I can't leave you alone." Qin Yi stubbornly refused.
Xu Chen casually patted Qin Yi's head, then said gently, "Okay, then watch how I dominate the battlefield." He turned around and stared at Li Qiangsheng again.
"Hmph, slaughtering everyone? Good. Very good." Li Qiangsheng looked at the van in the distance, a surge of smug satisfaction rising within him. He was determined to reclaim the dignity he had lost today. Once everyone had arrived, without a word, Li Qiangsheng led his men straight at Xu Chen. Xu Chen dodged Li Qiangsheng's steel rod, then repeated the same tactic, knocking everyone else to the ground. Li Qiangsheng, his eyes bloodshot, still grabbed a steel rod and struck Xu Chen without hesitation. Xu Chen knocked the rod away with one hand, and with the other, grabbed Li Qiangsheng by the collar and yanked him to the ground.
