"That man on stage is Li Jialiang, the president of the Zhejiang Chamber of Commerce who acquired the He family, and the richest man in Zhejiang Province." Li Cheng pointed to the portly man on stage. Although he was out of shape and didn't look like a disciplined, successful man, Li Jialiang's demeanor was undeniable; he resembled a refined, middle-aged fat man. Upon his arrival on stage, the applause noticeably intensified.
"Thank you all for attending my business gala tonight. As the leader once said, Chinese entrepreneurs should have a spirit of serving the country and its people. All of you here have demonstrated extraordinary talents in your respective fields and contributed your efforts to the country's economic development and technological progress. I raise this glass to you all."
Everyone raised their glasses and drank together. Xu Chen wanted to have another drink, but the chamber of commerce president directly addressed him, "Here, I'd like to toast Chairman Xu of Liren Pharmaceutical. In just over a year, Liren Pharmaceutical has emerged like a dark horse, reclaiming a portion of the market share previously held by foreign cosmetics companies. Our products sell well throughout China. Chairman Xu, a toast to you." Li Jialiang seemed unconcerned about Xu Chen's age, addressing him with the respectful title of "you." As the two drank together, some of the business people present glanced back and forth between Xu Chen and Li Cheng, whispering amongst themselves.
Li Cheng frowned and glanced at Li Jialiang, then whispered in Xu Chen's ear, "Boss, this guy is really cunning."
"What do you mean?" Xu Chen also sensed a subtle hostility.
“Logically speaking, although our Liren has developed rapidly, its foundation is not solid and its core technology is insufficient. It is still a small company. These people, each of whom is a giant in their respective fields, have no need to be so friendly to us, especially Li Jialiang, who has even less reason to do so.”
“You’re right.” Xu Chen patted Li Cheng on the shoulder. “Actually, when you think about it carefully, we’re not qualified to be here at this party tonight.”
After considering this, Li Cheng and Xu Chen's expressions turned serious. These businessmen all seemed to be ruthless and heartless. If anyone really had designs on their company, there was probably no other way to protect it except for the elders of the Li family to intervene.
After the party ended, the two took a taxi and left.

"Chairman Xu, would you like to try some? Our peaches here are very sweet," Li Jialiang's secretary joked, noticing Xu Chen's "dazed" gaze.
Xu Chen smiled awkwardly, "Chairman Li is really... bold, daring to open this kind of club in the capital."
At this moment, the group reached the third floor. Seeing that there were still two floors left, the secretary said to Xu Chen, "Hmm, is it possible that those people who make us afraid to open this club are currently enjoying themselves here? Back home, Wang Li was eating the breakfast that Xu Chen had ordered.
