"Yunhai, come teach me how to drive." After leaving the driving school and dropping Wang Li off at home, Xu Chen took out his phone and called Chen Yunhai. He had witnessed Chen Yunhai's driving skills and had to admit that Chen Yunhai was an experienced driver, driving very steadily. Chen Yunhai was at a bar at the time. Upon hearing Xu Chen's call, he immediately packed his things and headed towards Xu Chen's shared location. A moment later, Chen Yunhai drove up to Xu Chen. His car was a black Audi, with a rugged body and eye-catching headlights. Xu Chen got in immediately. Chen Yunhai lit a cigarette and asked, "Brother Chen, did you finish your theory test?" Xu Chen nodded. "I just passed. Yunhai, I'm entrusting you with a big task: teach me to drive in the next month or so. Don't worry, my reaction time and attention are fine, and it won't take up too much of your time. Just call me after you're done at the bar every day." Chen Yunhai nodded. "Brother Chen, don't worry. Back in the day, I was the Akina Mountain racing god. I was a pro when I was abroad too." "I've driven sports cars before, teaching you is no problem at all." Xu Chen patted Chen Yunhai on the shoulder, then seemed to remember something and asked Chen Yunhai, "Yunhai, didn't you have a sports car back in China? I remember in those novels, rich kids always had sports cars and garages at home." Chen Yunhai shook his head, "Sports car garage? If my family bought me one, my whole family would starve. My dad just gave me this Aodi." Chen Yunhai's father, Chen Mingyuan, although he used to be a prominent businessman in Xingcheng, would never buy his son an expensive sports car. If he did, he'd be out of his mind. His business didn't have much working capital; he had so many employees to support and bank loans to pay off. "Alright, enough of that. Shall we start now?" Xu Chen was eager to try and discussed it with Chen Yunhai. Chen Yunhai nodded, lit another cigarette, and slowly asked, "Brother Chen, are you taking your C1 or C2 driving test?" Xu Chen replied, "C2." Chen Yunhai nodded. "That makes things easier. My car is automatic too. Come on, Brother Chen, let's find a quiet place to practice." Xu Chen was excited; he had long wanted to try driving, which would make it easier for him and Wang Li to get around. He nodded and followed Chen Yunhai to practice driving.
Time flew by amidst the various tasks, and a little over a month passed. In the mornings, Xu Chen and Xu Nan took care of his younger brother, and in the afternoons, Xu Chen and Wang Li learned to drive. They also practiced driving with Chen Yunhai after work, and Xu Chen managed to master the basics and pass his driver's license test. Wang Li, on the other hand, failed her second driving test once but passed it on the retake. Xu Chen couldn't do much about it. He heard from Wang Li that her uncle was also teaching her to drive; perhaps luck played a part in the driver's license test? Xu Chen didn't know, and he didn't want to help. With only a few days left before school started, Wang Li and Xu Chen were at their usual spot, drinking milk tea and discussing the start of the semester. She had applied for the English department, and Xu Chen for the History department. They were discussing what to do after registering and arriving at school when Wang Li took a sip of her milk tea and said to Xu Chen, "Chenchen, how about we rent a place off-campus?" Xu Chen nodded. "Anyway, we're both rich; renting for four years is no problem." Seeing that they had reached an agreement, Wang Li didn't say anything more. Xu Chen jokingly said to Wang Li, "Lili, what do you say?" "Should we rent a one-bedroom apartment or a two-bedroom apartment?" Wang Li understood Xu Chen's teasing, a blush creeping across her face. Her mind raced with inexplicable thoughts. "What should I do? Renting a place is a big deal. I don't want to be separated from Chenchen, but renting a one-bedroom apartment... I'm not ready yet. Will Chenchen be angry if I suggest renting a two-bedroom apartment?" After thinking for a moment, Wang Li finally made up her mind and said softly, "Let's... let's rent a one-bedroom apartment, okay?" Xu Chen said teasingly. "Lili," Xu Chen said, "it seems you, little white rabbit, are about to willingly walk into the mouth of this big bad wolf." Wang Li turned her head away, using her milk tea to cover her face. "Chenchen, let's not talk about this anymore, let's drink milk tea." Xu Chen understood the importance of knowing when to stop. He wasn't a lecherous man, so he picked up the milk tea and drank it all in one gulp. Suddenly, Wang Li thought of something. "Chenchen, I heard that military training at Kyoto University is like being in a military camp. Will it be very strict? I'm not in good health, I'm a little scared." Xu Chen tapped her head with the empty milk tea bottle. "Don't overthink it, your health is already excellent." Wang Li was a sedentary girl who didn't exercise. Because of this, her health had always been sub-optimal. Since she and Xu Chen started dating, every time Xu Chen saw her, he would channel spiritual energy into her body in a way that Wang Li could handle. Although Xu Chen didn't understand medicine, the benefits of spiritual energy to everything and everyone in the world were obvious. Therefore, Wang Li's health improved rapidly, and she was now completely healthy.
After parting ways with Wang Li at the bubble tea shop, Xu Chen returned home. As soon as he opened the door, he was met with a resentful look from Xu Nan. "Little brother Chen, you were out all day again? Didn't you take care of your little brother?" Xu Chen smiled apologetically. "Sis, look what I brought you back!" Xu Nan saw her favorite bubble tea and chicken wings in Xu Chen's hands, and her resentment vanished instantly. She happily said, "Hmph, I'll forgive you this time. But Mom and Dad won't be home tonight; they said they're going on a business trip together. So, the task of looking after your little brother tonight is entirely yours! No objections, right?" Xu Chen found it a bit strange. These two had different professions; how could they go on a business trip together? He thought to himself, "Going on a business trip together? That's quite rare." Then, he said to Xu Nan in a serious tone, "Yes, sister, leave it all to me."
At night, Xu Chen looked at his younger brother in his parents' room. Seeing his brother's fair and tender face, he couldn't resist touching it. Strictly speaking, Xu Ming was a gift he had given to the Xu family. When Xu Ming grew up, he would ask for his opinion. If possible, he would train his younger brother to be a martial artist, make a deal with the relevant authorities, and send him to the army for training, allowing the Xu family to soar to new heights. Holding his little brother's hand, Xu Chen whispered, "You must grow up quickly, little brother." The matter of caring for Xu Ming was actually quite common in families with two or three children at an older age. Basically, the older children bore most of the responsibility of being parents. Although Xu Nan and Xu Chen were overwhelmed and stressed taking care of their little brother, it was mainly the two of them who were caring for him. Seeing that his little brother had fallen asleep, Xu Chen, as usual, multitasked, watching over his brother while meditating and cultivating.
