"Xu Chen, you should leave this place first," Qin Ziyue said with a very unnatural expression. This left Xu Chen somewhat bewildered. It was just family discipline, wasn't it? He'd seen it before. Did the Guardian Alliance's family discipline have something unique that couldn't be passed on to outsiders? He slowly left the place. As soon as Ying'er saw Xu Chen leave, she quickly tried to run away, but no sooner had Xu Chen disappeared from sight than Qin Ziyue's methods began to strike.
"Will you give it to me or not, Ying'er?" Qin Ziyue asked with a mischievous smile.
"No, absolutely not."
"Okay, then enjoy it until you can give it to me."
"Miss, I am... no... ah, I will not give in."
Looking at the girl before her, her eyes glazed, her face flushed, and her moans rising, Qin Ziyue's wicked desires began to grow. She was seized by a playful impulse and had decided to "punish" her sister properly that night. Just as she was about to take further action, Ying'er collapsed to the ground, unable to bear it any longer. She weakly pleaded with Qin Ziyue, "Miss, please spare me, I'll give it to you." Qin Ziyue, satisfied with her answer, went over to help her up and, incidentally, telepathically called Xu Chen back.
Looking at the two sisters with such strange expressions, Xu Chen felt a surge of curiosity. He was about to ask a question when Qin Ziyue glared at him, stopping him. Ying'er blushed deeply at Xu Chen's scrutinizing gaze. She turned away and took out the jade talisman from her storage bag, stammering, "It's...it's here. You can decide for yourselves."
Qin Ziyue picked up the jade talisman, about to call Xu Chen to leave together, when he suddenly asked a probing question, "Miss Ying'er, why are your clothes soaked? Did it just rain?" Ying'er was filled with shame. After using her spiritual power to evaporate the sweat, she turned and staggered away. Qin Ziyue's expression was also somewhat embarrassed. She said angrily, "Are you leaving or not?"
Xu Chen withdrew his curious gaze and returned to their original spot with Qin Ziyue. Looking at the busy crowd, Xu Chen asked, "Senior, we have the jade talisman, but how do we proceed?"
As soon as the question was asked, Qin Ziyue formed a hand seal, and milky white ripples spread outwards from her hands. Wherever the ripples passed, everyone was unable to move. Xu Chen, seeing Qin Ziyue's skill, clapped his hands and exclaimed, "Senior, what a skill! This is the expansion of your domain!"
"It's a freezing spell." Qin Ziyue looked helplessly at her talkative junior. "Let's hurry up and finish what we need to do, and then erase their memories."
"Alright, shall we go and find out now?"
"Walk!"
The two arrived at the cave entrance, which was clearly only wide enough for one person to pass through at a time. After Qin Ziyue went in, Xu Chen followed her into the cave.
Upon entering the tomb chamber, the two saw an unusually large array mechanism. Logically, the tomb was small, making it unlikely that such an array could be contained. This led Xu Chen to speculate further about the strength of the tomb's occupant. Just as he was stunned, Qin Ziyue shouted, "Back off!"
"Okay, okay." Xu Chen quickly retreated, looking at Qin Ziyue's stance as if she were about to drop a nuclear bomb. In the blink of an eye, a blue light flew out from Qin Ziyue's hand and blasted towards the formation.
To their surprise, the sound of breaking the formation spread for miles around. If Qin Ziyue hadn't placed a protective barrier within the domain, these immobilized individuals would have either been killed by falling rocks or by the sonic shockwaves from the explosion.
Looking at the huge circular crater that had formed around him, with almost everyone around him suspended in mid-air, Xu Chen swallowed hard and then asked, "Senior, can you restore this place?"
"Why worry about so much? Look, the formation has been torn open. Let's hurry in and find out what's going on."
"Oh, oh." Now that things had come to this, Xu Chen put the miserable scene out of his mind.
The two quickly entered the formation through the crack.
"This place is truly a hidden paradise." Xu Chen looked at the dense forest and boundless grassland before him, feeling the gentle breeze blowing across his cheeks, and exclaimed repeatedly.
"It seems my guess was right. The owner of this tomb must have had at least the peak of the Integration Stage in his lifetime."
"Which way should we go now?"
"Wait, wait for his lingering will to appear. Judging from the integrity of the formation, he definitely left his consciousness in this small world."
"If his lingering resentment views us as enemies, then in fact, our actions seem no different from those of his enemies."
Qin Ziyue rolled her eyes at Xu Chen without replying. Then her expression gradually became serious. Xu Chen was right. After the excitement of breaking the formation subsided, she had also thought of this. But now, what could she do? She could only wait.
"Hello, little ones." As Xu Chen and Qin Ziyue waited anxiously, a gentle voice rang in their ears. The two looked up into the distance, where a figure approached. She looked like a girl next door, but exuded a dignified aura. Her appearance was quite ordinary, yet Xu Chen almost became intoxicated by her charm. "That was close, I almost let her Daoist aura break my composure," Xu Chen thought to himself.
"Not bad. I didn't expect that after more than a thousand years of decline, I would still be able to meet a junior like me."
Seeing that the remnant spirit seemed easy to deal with, Qin Ziyue quickly said, "Senior, please forgive my rudeness." Regardless, the two of them were no match for this powerful figure, even if she was just a wisp of consciousness. So apologizing first was always the right thing to do.
The tomb owner chuckled, "If I really cared, you wouldn't be able to break the formation with just that jade talisman. In fact, you only need to show your spiritual power, and I will let you in."
Upon hearing this, Xu Chen tightly shut his mouth. He really wanted to laugh. Seeing Xu Chen suppressing his laughter, Qin Ziyue stomped her foot in anger. "That old witch! She didn't say anything before breaking the formation, causing me to lose a jade talisman." She had only thought this to herself, but she never expected that the tomb owner would see through her in an instant.
"Talking badly about me to my face, huh? Little guy, do you want to die?"
"No, no, senior, that's just how she is. Please don't take it to heart," Xu Chen quickly tried to smooth things over.
The tomb owner was just joking. Then she looked at Xu Chen and the other person and said seriously, "What brings you here to disturb me?"
This question stumped both of them. They couldn't very well say they were here to steal the treasure. Xu Chen looked troubled, and Qin Ziyue, seeing him stammering and hesitant to speak, steeled herself and said, "Senior, we're here to search for treasure."
"Haha, I don't have any treasures. The little guys have probably made a wasted trip."
