Chapter 23 My Brother Doesn’t Give Me Food
Gu Qian would definitely not harm Mi Bao, so Duan Ze obediently took out the red pill and gave it to Mi Bao to eat.
Half an hour later, Mibao's fever really started to subside.
Duan Ze was delighted and looked up at Duan Jing, only to see him looking at the medicine box.
He asked in confusion: "Second brother, what's wrong?"
"This box..." Duan Ze looked at the logo on the box. It looked familiar. It was from a laboratory. The medicine in that laboratory was very effective.
But isn't the drug from that lab never sold to the public? Where did this drug come from?
Besides, that big laboratory probably wouldn't be able to make common medicines like antipyretics.
He couldn't figure it out.
Looking at the colorful things inside, they were obviously pills for children. He felt that this was not the style of that laboratory, so he shook his head and met Duan Ze's gaze. He said, "It's okay, I just think this medicine is very effective."
"I think so too." Duan Ze nodded in agreement, then glanced at him unhappily and said, "Second brother, your hospital is terrible. You can't even cure a fever. How did you get rated as a top-tier hospital?"
Duan Jing choked, but couldn't explain.
Fortunately, Mibao woke up at this time and looked a little more energetic. He looked around and saw that he was in the hospital. He was so scared that he shrank his head like a little snail and huddled in Duan Ze's arms. He said softly, "Brother, I want to go home."
"Okay, let's go back." She looked like she was about to cry at any time, and Duan Ze was scared. Fortunately, the fever had subsided now, so it shouldn't be a big deal.
He said hello to Duan Jing and left with Mibao in his arms.
Mibao quietly poked out his little head and looked at Duan Jing, his round eyes full of curiosity.
Seeing that he was looking at her, she immediately snuggled into Duan Ze's arms again, wrapping her arms and legs tightly around him, looking very dependent.
Duan Ze also subconsciously raised his hand and patted her back with some comforting meaning.
Duan Jing couldn't help but raise his eyebrows slightly. Even after all this, he still wanted to kick her out? Could he bear to do that?
After returning home, Mibao's fever had almost subsided. He was full of energy again and said with his feet raised, "Brother, I'm hungry. I want to eat."
It just so happened that the nanny had prepared breakfast, which was a sandwich. It was healthy and edible.
Mibao sat on the chair, holding the sandwich and started to eat it with a loud noise. Just when she finished one and her chubby paw reached for the second one, a big hand suddenly reached out and took the plate away.
Mi Bao looked up blankly, and heard Duan Ze say, "Just eat one, be careful of indigestion again."
Mibao touched his stomach and said pitifully, "Brother, I'm hungry. I haven't eaten enough yet."
Duan Ze was unmoved, "That's enough. Children can't eat too much."
Mi Bao acted coquettishly for a while, but Duan Ze remained unmoved.
Knowing that he couldn't have any more, Mibao put his little head on the table and watched helplessly as Duan Ze finished eating the sandwich. He pursed his lips and tears began to well up in his eyes again.
Duan Ze was frightened when he saw her like this, and quickly handed her a glass of milk, "Drink some milk."
Mibao shook his head weakly, "I haven't finished the homework that Master assigned to me, so I can't go see him."
What does this have to do with drinking milk?
It's nonsensical.
"Then give you some milk powder?"
Okay.
Mibao took out a can of milk powder from her small bag and gave it to him. She shook her little head and said, "Just put in six spoons. The water needs to be 40 degrees. Thank you, brother."
Duan Ze took a look at the milk powder can. There was not even a brand logo on it, just a bare can.
He asked curiously, "What brand of milk powder is this? It can't be a product without any quality assurance."
"I don't know, my dad bought it for me."
No wonder.
Duan Ze said with some disdain, "I'll buy you a good one later. Your dad is the same. He can't even bear to buy you a branded milk powder. He just gives you all sorts of random stuff."
Mibao was holding the bottle, his short legs dangling in the air, his black eyes staring at him.
Duan Ze was still defeated, "Okay, okay, I'll stop saying bad things about your father."
Mibao blinked and said, "Okay."
Duan Ze was so angry that he laughed. He pinched her little hair in annoyance and said, "You little heartless girl, have you forgotten who took care of you last night?"
Mi Bao raised her little face and smiled at him, "Brother, you are the best to me."
"I'm glad to know." Duan Ze raised the corner of his mouth.
After he finished his meal, he yawned and went to sleep.
Mibao slept all night yesterday and didn't feel sleepy at all.
She wasn't noisy, and was completely different from when she was sick.
She took out cinnabar and yellow paper from her bag and started drawing on it.
Her master gave her homework, asking her to draw ten talismans a day. She was busy with the show these days and forgot to draw them. She had to make up for it, otherwise she would get beaten.
The nanny was doing housework nearby. Seeing that the little girl was so well-behaved, she couldn't help but cut a fruit plate for her to eat. She thought she was drawing, but when she got closer, she found that it was a talisman. Her eyes suddenly became a little strange.
How come the new young lady is still a little charlatan?
But he's also a cute little bastard.
Mibao didn't notice her gaze. He sat at the coffee table with his short legs, concentrating on drawing talismans.
This was the scene that Duan Yun and Gu Qian saw when they came back.
"Mibao." Duan Yun called out.
Mibao raised his head and saw her. His eyes lit up and he ran over immediately. However, he had just taken one step when he fell down again with a "bang".
There was a blanket on the floor, so it didn't hurt when I fell, but I was dizzy.
Mibao touched his leg and said with a stern face, "Mom and Dad, my leg ate the popping candy."
No one gave her any food, so she got angry.
"What is popping candy?" Duan Yun was a little confused.
Gu Qian: "My legs are numb."
He walked forward, picked up the little girl who had been feverish and touched her forehead. Fortunately, she was no longer hot.
He pinched Mibao's chubby little hand and asked worriedly, "Are you feeling uncomfortable anywhere else?"
Mibao thought for a moment, nodded his head, and under their nervous gaze, he clutched his stomach and said pitifully, "I'm so hungry, my brother won't give me any food."
Duan Ze heard this as soon as he left the room and said frantically, "Say it again, did I give you food?"
Why is the little girl still talking nonsense?
Mibao tilted his head and thought for a moment, then said, "No, I wanted to eat, but my brother wouldn't give it to me."
That’s right.
She was talking about the second sandwich, not that she had already eaten one.
Duan Ze was so angry that his face turned green. He didn't expect that she was actually a little green tea!
Fortunately, the nanny came over and explained the situation, and Duan Ze was spared from being beaten.
He snorted unhappily, "Why are you back?"
Aren't you going on your honeymoon?
Duan Yun held Mibao's hand and said, "Mibao is sick. I'm worried, so I came back to check on him."
Duan Ze's face suddenly fell. She never came back to see him when he was sick as a child.
She cares so much about this little burden.
Mibao noticed that he was in a bad mood almost immediately. He looked over and stretched out his chubby arms towards him, "Brother, are you jealous?"
"No." Duan Ze turned his head away stubbornly, refusing to admit it.
Mi Bao understood. Gu Qian was holding her at the moment, and she was very tall. She stretched out her chubby little paws, landed easily on his shoulder, and patted him.
"Don't worry, brother. When you get sick, mom and I will see you together."
Before Duan Ze could even feel touched, he heard the little girl say again: "Brother, do you want to get sick now? Or should I hurt you?"
Duan Ze: “???”
