Wen Shu was so angry that she burst out laughing.
Li Duo looked up: "What are you laughing at?"
As a nurse passed by the ward, Wen Shu suddenly called out to her, "Nurse, look at the band-aid I put on Miss Lin last night, is it the correct type?"
The nurse nodded: "It's quite standard."
Wen Shu turned her head. "Did you hear that? It's not that I say it's true, it's true from the start!"
Lin Jingyu gave a wry smile, "Wen Shu, whatever you say goes, alright? Don't you have to go to work? Then go..."
Wen Shu turned to leave, but Li Duo stopped her: "Did I say you could leave?"
Wen Shu turned around: "President Li, I still have to go to work."
Li Duo sneered, "I can make sure you can never go to work again."
Wen Shu took a deep breath. "President Li, what do you need me to do?"
"You've caused this mess, and you're not going to take full responsibility? You think you can just run away?"
Wen Shu countered, "Will President Li approve the leave?"
"Do you need me to give you special treatment in your private affairs?"
Wen Shu chuckled again. "So, Mr. Li wants me to skip work to serve your fiancée?"
"Shouldn't she be? She got hurt because of you!" Li Duo said coldly.
Wen Shu took a step towards him. "Mr. Li, guess why I was willing to stay and take care of Miss Lin? You don't think I'm doing this because I feel guilty or scared, do you?"
“I stayed to take care of her because I was still working at the company, and I was afraid that my boss would deduct my salary if he was unhappy.”
"Miss Lin knows why she was injured. Superb acting skills, an innocent face, and disgusting motives. In just six months, I have witnessed too many hypocritical faces of people like you."
Li Duo stared at her. "You did something wrong, and you're turning around and blaming her? You spilled hot soup and scalded Jing Yu, and now you're saying she's hypocritical? People should reflect on themselves. What about you?"
He held back a question from Lin Jingyu: Was she taking advantage of his indulgence and becoming increasingly demanding?
"Does Mr. Li intend to go through legal proceedings? Then let's each get medical examinations and proceed with the legal process."
Wen Shu said coldly, "I'm just an employee. I've tolerated and yielded again and again, but you're taking advantage of me and disgusting me. You expect me to serve you until next Friday? Dream on!"
She shouted a sentence and walked away without looking back.
Li Duo stood there with a gloomy expression.
Lin Jingyu's eyes were filled with tears, her lips trembled, and she choked out, "Aduo, I'm sorry, it's all my fault..."
Li Duo walked to her side, took her hand, and said, "You've been wronged."
Lin Jingyu gently shook his head: "Wen Shu is your employee. She originally did this for work, but now she's delayed her work because of me. If I were in her shoes, I wouldn't be happy either."
"Don't make things difficult for her. She's just a working person; life isn't easy for anyone."
Li Duo squeezed her hand. "Jing Yu, don't worry too much. She went too far. I will definitely make her apologize to you."
Lin Jingyu nestled against him, her eyes gradually darkening.
She didn't care about Wen Shu's apology.
She just wanted Li Duo to feel disgusted and repulsed by Wen Shu, to feel nauseous whenever he saw her!
She wanted to win Li Duo back!
Li Duo glanced at the time and said to Lin Jingyu, "I just arranged for someone to take care of you. Call me if you need anything."
Lin Jingyu asked him, "Are you going to work?"
Li Duo nodded: "I have an important meeting today, and I must attend."
"What about lunch?" Lin Jingyu asked, looking disappointed. "I really want to eat the spicy shrimp tails from last night."
Li Duo said, "I'll have Jin Ding make it and send it to you."
Lin Jingyu grabbed his hand and said coquettishly, "I can pay for Wen Shu's food. I just want to eat the spicy shrimp tails from last night!"
She stared at his face, watching his expression.
He has already arranged for someone else to take care of her, which means he has tacitly agreed to let Wen Shu go to work, implying that he still has feelings for her.
What Lin Jingyu hated and feared most was that Wen Shu still held a place in his heart.
Of course she knew that no matter how fickle a man was, how could he remain indifferent when the woman he had slept with was right under his nose?
As long as Wen Shu is around, Li Duo's heart cannot be completely drawn back.
Li Duo looked at her face, "You really want to eat that much?"
Lin Jingyu nodded: "I think the shrimp I ate last night tasted like my mom's cooking."
Then, she lowered her head dejectedly: "Never mind, I know it's unreasonable to ask your employee to cook for me, but I just miss home. Besides, Wen Shu wouldn't want to..."
"You got hurt because of her, so why shouldn't she be willing to help you?"
Li Duo couldn't bear to see her disappointed face, so he pulled her into his arms and said, "Just rest and recover. I'll have her make it for you."
Lin Jingyu grabbed her sleeve, "Do you remember what you promised me before?"

Li Duo stared into her eyes and suddenly chuckled, "I remember."
The hospital was already packed with people early in the morning.
Li Duo walked through the hospital's outpatient department, where a large number of people had gathered in the pharmacy area on the first floor.
Amidst the noisy crowd, Li Duo suddenly heard someone shout, "Hey, you, Wen Shu, you still have a tube of gel left..."
Li Duo stopped and looked in the direction of the sound, and saw her squeeze forward.
Li Duo stood there waiting for her to come over, but saw her walk to a corner, suddenly lift up her trouser leg, revealing a huge scalded blister on her foot, red, swollen, and large, a shocking sight to behold.
She squatted down and applied ointment to the blisters with a cotton swab.
