"Li Duo, are you really that keen on ruining a woman?" Wen Shu asked angrily.
"I told you, I have no choice but to do this. How much do you want? I'll pay double!"
Wen Shu slightly curled the corners of her lips. What kind of man was he?
The disdain in her eyes was so obvious that Li Duo felt a chill creep into his heart once again.

Wen Shu tried to move, but Li Duo pressed her down. "Don't move!"
Lin Jingyu left in a hurry, and only then did Li Duo let go of her hand.
Only then did Young Master Qian turn his attention to Wen Shu, raising an eyebrow. "Where did President Li get this Miss Wen from? From the Golden Summit Club?"

Wen Shu didn't speak. Her mind was in a complete mess, and her hands and feet felt cold and numb.
She was worried about the baby, and she was thinking about what to do next.
She wasn't just angry; she had been furious all along.
Half an hour later, the driver called Li Duo to say that Lin Jingyu had arrived home safely.
Li Duo and Wen Shu got up and left the Golden Cauldron together with the Second Young Master Qian.
The paparazzi in the van immediately raised their cameras. Zou Wei picked up his binoculars and immediately saw Wen Shu wearing Lin Jingyu's clothes. He couldn't help but curse.
Lin Jingyu really did run away!
Wen Shu stood in front of the Bentley: "I can go back by myself."
"Get in the car." Li Duo opened the car door. "How are you going to get home dressed like that?"
Lin Jingyu deliberately chose a dress that resembled a formal gown, in order to leave an elegant impression on investors. It was suitable for attending banquets and meeting friends, but not for taking the subway or bus.
Wen Shu looked at him coldly, curled her lips slightly, and got into the car.
Wen Shu got into the car and said to the driver, "Driver, please take me to Sandaokou."
The driver glanced at her. "Miss Wen, aren't you going home?"
"The house is being renovated, so we're temporarily moving there."
The driver said, "It's a bit far from your home."
Wen Shu replied, "There's nothing I can do. If I can't find a suitable house, then a house that's farther away is fine."
Li Duo naturally overheard her conversation with the driver.
He didn't speak, but instead sent a text message to Lin Jingyu: The paparazzi have gone back, don't worry.
The car stopped at a dark, gloomy street corner.
The city center was brightly lit, but upon arriving here, I realized it was a dark and windy night.
The driver glanced around. "Isn't this a demolition site? A lot of people have moved away. Isn't it unsafe to live here?"
Wen Shu chuckled, "The rent here is cheap, and the landlord said that although half of it has been demolished, the plans have changed and it won't be demolished again within two years. We'll only be staying here for six months."
Li Duo frowned: "There are so many houses in Beicheng, why do you insist on living in a place like this? Last time you..."
He meant to say that the place she was tricked into by the counterfeit group last time was the house she was waiting for to be demolished.
Wen Shu ignored him completely. After the car stopped, she got out and walked towards an unlit alleyway, using her phone's flashlight for illumination.
Li Duo reached out to open the door and got out of the car, then chased after her in a few steps: "Wen Shu!"
Wen Shu ignored him; from a distance, only her blurry silhouette could be seen in the light and shadow.
Li Duo followed behind her, wanting to escort her home, but he had a strange feeling of stumbling in the darkness.
She seemed very familiar with her surroundings and walked quickly. After reaching a corner, the light on her phone suddenly went out.
Li Duo stared at her back, drawn to the light in her hand. When the light suddenly went out, his eyes were instantly plunged into darkness.
"Wen Shu!"
He could only smell her scent, but he heard no response from her.
Suddenly someone pushed him from behind, and Li Duo staggered forward.
A sharp "crack" rang out in the darkness, the sound of metal clashing together.
