Wen Shu reached out and covered Wen Rourou's little ears.
Li Duo called out to the door, "Liang Feng, take Wen Xingzhou to buy some fruit. Wen Xingzhou knows what kind of fruit to pick."
Li Duo's driver appeared at the door and reached out to Wen Rou Rou to take his hand.
Wen Rou Rou moved his little feet, so Wen Shu had no choice but to put him on the ground.
Wen Rou Rou said, "Grandma said that eating bananas will make my legs stop hurting."
Wen Shu nodded, "Does Rou Rou's leg hurt now?"
Wen Rou Rou shook her head, "Rou Rou ate a banana, Rou Rou doesn't hurt."
After a few seconds, he said again, "It only hurts a little. Rou Rou is a tough guy, don't cry!"
Wen Shu touched his little face and said, "Mmm."
Wen Rou Rou walked to the door and said to Wen Shu, "Shu Shu, you have to speak nicely, you can't be fierce."
Wen Shu nodded again: "Okay!"
Wen Rou Rou grabbed the driver's hand and left, and the atmosphere in the single ward immediately froze.
Wen Shu stared coldly at the person on the hospital bed, "What do you want to do?"
Li Duo scoffed, "What do you think? You don't actually think this is the end of it, do you? You're overthinking it."
Wen Shu retorted, "So all you do is bully kids?"
"Is it obvious whether I'm bullying a child or letting the child teach you a lesson?"
“You’re not qualified to teach me how to be a person,” Wen Shu retorted. “After all, I really can’t imagine how well-mannered someone who only knows how to bully women and children could be.”
"Don't try to provoke me, it won't do you any good." Li Duo looked at his heavily bandaged legs. "Or do you want your son to have a mother who's in jail?"
Wen Shu looked at him coldly, "If I can clear away the threats in his path to adulthood, I believe he will understand my good intentions."
Li Duo chuckled softly, "You haven't reflected on your actions at all?"
"I am not the one who needs to reflect on my actions, and I do not regret what I have done."
Wen Shu said, "I knew this day would come from the moment you threatened my son. Thank you for your shameless behavior last night, which strengthened my resolve."
Li Duo stared at her face, "Your son's wound would have healed much sooner if you went to the hospital any longer!"
"You think it's only considered serious if he lies down like you? Let me tell you, when I saw my son's scraped leg, I regretted not breaking your leg!"
"You deserve it, you brought this on yourself!"
Li Duo wasn't led by the nose. "Beast traps are rare, and you can't get your own. Who's going to help you?"
Wen Shu stared at him: "I'm alone."
Who are you covering for?
"Your opportunity has come to you."
"I acted on a whim, but do you have the ability to foresee the future? If no one was constantly following you and cooperating with you to act according to circumstances, where would the animal traps come from?"
"Never underestimate the power of a mother."
"Wen Shu, do you think you can cover this up?"
"You think you're all-powerful? If you're so capable, go and investigate yourself."
"Are you willing to sacrifice yourself to save your accomplices?"
"You're best at dealing with women and children, aren't you afraid that if there are other people involved, you won't be able to afford to offend them?"
Li Duo was so angry he laughed. "Wen Shu, is shamelessness your way of solving things?"
"It's better than your half-hearted approach to solving things."
Li Duo realized that she was like a stubborn mule, seemingly certain that he couldn't do anything about her.
"You really think I won't touch you?"
"I'm standing right in front of you. Do whatever you want with me. Isn't that the only way you people treat women?"
"Wen Shu, you keep talking about people like you, but what kind of person are you?"
Wen Shu gave a mocking laugh, "I'm not from the same world as you!"
Li Duo was somewhat exasperated. He gritted his teeth and asked, "Should we ask when your son is coming back?"
Wen Shu rushed over and grabbed his hospital gown. "If you dare to lay a finger on Rou Rou again, next time it won't just be breaking your legs!"
Li Duo reached out and pried her hand away little by little.
"Do you know why the police didn't come looking for you? It's not because they couldn't find out, but because I was betrayed by a woman, and it would be embarrassing for me to tell anyone."
“But that doesn’t mean it’s over. No matter where you hide, I can find you, and I’ll know who your accomplices are.”
Wen Shu stared at him, "If this is my fate, I accept it!"
Li Duo chuckled: "When you're saying harsh words, you don't think about your son? When Wen Xingzhou was holding your neck and making you apologize, you were quite obedient."
Wen Shu looked at him with disgust, as if she had guessed what he wanted to say.
"You brought Rou Rou here behind my back today, just to force me to come see you, and here I am. And then what?"
Li Duo glanced at her: "There's an engagement party on Saturday. You'll come with me, and then we'll settle our accounts."
Wen Shu sneered: "What if I refuse?"
Li Duo replied, "You probably don't want to find your son missing the next time you pick him up, do you?"
Wen Shu stared at him, then suddenly took a step back and slammed her hand heavily on his injured leg.
Li Duo gasped instantly, gritting his teeth as he said, "Wen Shu..."
The door to the ward suddenly opened.
Wen Shu immediately withdrew her hand.
Wen Rou Rou struggled to carry five or six bananas in and said in a childish voice, "The bananas are here."
Li Duo's face turned pale, and beads of sweat appeared on his forehead.
The driver looked at the two people in the room; the atmosphere was off. He glanced at Li Duo.
Li Duo remained silent, trying his best to appear nonchalant.
Wen Rou Rou placed the bananas one by one on the bedside table.
The driver was carrying a bag of fruit, with only two or three pieces of each type inside. "They were all picked out by Wen Xingzhou," he said.
