Li Duo wasn't angry. Instead, he asked her, "Do you want to eat? If not, I'll help you..."
He reached out to take the food from in front of Wen Shu, but Wen Shu slapped his hand away, saying, "What are you doing? I paid for the meal!"
"The country advocates thrift, isn't it a waste if you don't eat?"
Wen Shu picked up her chopsticks and spoon and started eating angrily.
After leaving the hospital, Li Duo asked her to treat him to a meal.
Wen Shu agreed, considering that he had promised to invite experts.
She deliberately led him into this roadside shop, which was cheap and had a poor environment; the tables and chairs looked greasy. Unexpectedly, he actually sat down.
He was dressed in a high-quality suit, and his tall stature made him stand out from his surroundings.
Wen Shu was engrossed in eating, which made him immediately notice the round swirl on the top of her head.
He stared at her swirling eyes. "How's your son doing lately?"
Wen Shu stopped eating, then suddenly looked up at him and demanded, "What does my son's condition have to do with you?!"
Her reaction was stronger than any of her previous words, which made Li Duo frown. "He's a friend of mine who has an injured leg, so can't I ask him how he is?"
Wen Shu breathed a sigh of relief. She had thought, she had thought...
She lowered her head, concealing her earlier overreaction, and said, "It's fine."
Li Duo asked, "Didn't you ask me?"
His leg wasn't broken, and even the wound from the animal trap only caused redness and swelling for a few days, and the wound healed smoothly.
There is still some pain when walking, but it does not affect walking.
