Wen Shu's hands were trembling as she held the phone. "I'm sorry. I've bothered you..."
Li Zhonggeng then spoke up: "Miss Wen, if you don't admit to having a relationship with my son, then you should keep your word and stop bothering others."
Wen Shu moved her lips slightly, "I'm sorry, it won't happen again."
Wen Shu hung up the phone, leaned against the wall, and slowly sat down on the ground, her heart sinking to the bottom.
Officer Lin came over and asked, "Have you offended anyone recently?"
Officer Lin always felt that a gentle and beautiful girl like Wen Shu shouldn't have encountered such a thing.
But in Officer Lin's memory, Wen Shu seemed to encounter some kind of trouble every now and then, and had practically become a regular at the police station.
This isn't the first time Wen Rou Rou has been in trouble.
Wen Shu looked at Officer Lin with a pale face, "Who...have I offended recently?"
If we exclude Li Duo, then the person he has recently offended is obviously Lin Jingyu, but who would believe that name?
Moreover, it's rumored that Lin Jingyu has already gone to film a movie and is not in Beicheng at all.
Wen Shu suddenly said, "I remember now! There was a bald man who publicly slandered and defamed someone, but he was later released. Could this guy retaliate against me for calling the police to arrest him?"
Officer Lin said, "I'm reporting to the investigation team now!"
Wen Shu sat alone in the chair, her face deathly pale. She had originally wanted to ask Li Duo for help, hoping that Li Duo could use his connections to find Rou Rou more quickly.
But now it seems that Li Duo's approach is no longer viable.
Just when Wen Shu was at her wit's end and could only wait for the police to investigate, a figure suddenly entered the police station lobby.
When Wen Shu saw him, she paused for a moment, then turned her head away.
After Ma Biao entered with several other people behind him, he spotted Wen Shu immediately and walked straight towards her. "Miss Wen, what are you doing here?"
Wen Shu opened her mouth, but she couldn't very well say that she had come to have fun.
She said, "My child is missing, and the police are helping me find him."
Wen Shu asked perfunctorily, "Master Ma, what brings you to this place?"
Who would go to a police station if there's nothing wrong with that?
Ma Biao pointed and said, "I'm here to rescue someone."
Scarface had been arrested for some unknown reason, but Ma Biao came and bailed him out.
Ma Biao punched and kicked the scarred man, yelling, "You've never done much serious work, but you're always eager to find women!"
Wen Shu immediately understood; it turned out that Scarface had been discovered during a police raid.
Scarface, his face flushed red, endured a barrage of punches and kicks from Ma Biao, barely daring to breathe.
Ma Biao told Scarface and the others to wait for him outside, then plopped down next to Wen Shu. "Looking for your son? Did he run away on his own, or was someone picked him up? Do you know now?"
Wen Shu shook her head. "They said he ran away from the kindergarten gate, but someone deliberately led him away."
"That means it was picked up by someone."
Ma Biao reached out and placed his hand on the back of Wen Shu's chair, wrapping his arm around her.
Wen Shu shifted uncomfortably, but did not leave.
He crossed his legs and said, "Let's make a deal. I'll help you find your son and you'll come with me to my engagement party."
Wen Shu turned to stare at him, "Can you help me find my child?"
"How about this, I'll help you find your son. If you find him, you can act as my temporary girlfriend for a day and accompany me to an engagement party. If you don't find him, I won't make things difficult for you."
He glanced at Wen Shu. "Do you agree?"
Wen Shu stared at him. "Why did you ask me to be your temporary girlfriend?"
Ma Biao burst out laughing, "Is that even a question? Because that's the only way to provoke Li Duo!"
Wen Shu couldn't help but chuckle wryly, "My goodness, you really make the most of everything."
"Deal?" Ma Biao asked.
Wen Shu nodded without hesitation, "Deal!"
Ma Biao immediately made a phone call, mobilizing all available resources to find a three-year-old boy.
Wen Shu showed him a photo.
Ma Biao stared at the photo and muttered, "Why does this kid look so familiar?"
Wen Shu didn't even notice, fearing that Ma Biao would blurt out "like Li Duo" next.
Fudoyama, in his study.
Li Zhonggeng stared at Li Duo with a livid face. "You think I can't touch your phone? If you hadn't left your phone on my desk today, I wouldn't have known you and that woman were so close!"
"Her son is missing, what does that have to do with you? She actually called you to ask you to help her find her son!"
Li Duo frowned. "Father, if it weren't for the child's accident, she wouldn't have called me. Wen Shu wasn't lying; it's me who's been bothering her..."
"Shut up!" Li Zhonggeng roared. "Your engagement banquet with Jingyu is set for December 22nd before the new year. If you dare to let Jingyu down, I won't let you off the hook!"
"Don't think you're all grown up now and I can't do anything to you. If I want to deal with you, I have a hundred ways!"
Li Zhonggeng doted on Li Duo, but behind this doting was harshness.
He placed high hopes on Li Duo and kept a close eye on Li Duo's situation.
As long as he doesn't go too far, Li Zhonggeng will not interfere with Li Duo's private life.
But the problem now is that the Lin family is already bothered by Li Duo's relationship with that woman!
Lin Jingyu is the apple of the Lin family's eye. How could the Lin family possibly allow Li Duo to openly get involved with a woman?
"You and that woman must break up right now. If you don't know your place, I'll be the one to break it off for you!"
Li Duo looked up at Li Zhonggeng, "Dad, please don't be angry, I know what to do..."
