After the wind and rain stopped, Wen Shu straightened his clothes with a blank expression and reached out to push the door open to get out of the car.
The car door wouldn't budge.
Li Duo asked, "Does your son still want to continue his studies?"
Wen Shu suddenly turned around.
He added, "Go to the company tomorrow to submit an application explaining the situation. If this happens again, you won't have to do any work in the future."
Wen Shu's chest heaved with anger as she glared at him fiercely: "Threatening a woman, are you even a man?"
Li Duo raised his eyes: "You don't know? Or do you need to prove it again?"
Wen Shu bit her lip and remained silent.
"I didn't say stop, so you have no right to say stop."
The car door clicked open as soon as he finished speaking.
Wen Shu pushed open the door and got out of the car.
Li Duo leaned back, rested his arm on his forehead, and closed his eyes without moving for a long time.
The next day, when Li Duo passed by the secretary's office, he saw her sitting in front of the computer, staring blankly with a blank expression.
Li Duo reached out and knocked on the door. "Wen Shu, come to my office."
Wen Shu looked up at him for a while before standing up.
"Take your things."
Li Duo pointed to the handbag on the desk.
Wen Shu glanced at it and realized it was the clothes and scarf she was given to wear to the airport last time.
"It's not mine."
With that, she turned to leave.
"Stop!" Li Duo said.
Wen Shu turned around: "President Li, I need to arrange your schedule for tomorrow and also review it with Assistant Jin. Although I am an assistant, I also have my own duties to perform."
"You work so diligently, how come you're absent from work without a valid reason?"
Wen Shu didn't argue with him, but asked, "Does President Li have any further instructions?"
“Yes, a cup of coffee, not sweet.” Li Duo leaned back. “It’s part of your job.”
Wen Shu responded, "Yes."
As she walked to the door, the person behind her said again, "I want the Golden Tripod; I can get reimbursed that day."
Wen Shu: "...Yes."
Wen Shu walked out of the office, struggling to keep the door from slamming shut.
She rushed to find Jin Chao, saying that President Li wanted to drink Jin Ding's coffee.
Jin Chao looked up at her. "You're not asking me to go buy it, are you?"
Wen Shu said, "Of course not. I'm just asking for permission to go and buy it."
Jin Chao nodded: "Okay, I approve."
Wen Shu changed her clothes, grabbed her bag and handbag, went downstairs, ordered takeout on her phone, and sat down at the coffee shop on the ground floor to wait.
Forty minutes later, the coffee arrived, and she carried it upstairs.
"Mr. Li, your coffee is here."
Li Duo clasped his hands in front of him, staring at her. "You went to buy it yourself?"
Wen Shu: "Mm."
Li Duo suddenly smiled. He had been watching from upstairs and hadn't seen her leave the Li Group building.
Just five minutes earlier, a Jin Ding deliveryman came from the square.
Wen Shu said, "Please enjoy your meal, Mr. Li!"
As she reached the door, Li Duo said again, "Another pastry, please."
Wen Shu turned around angrily. Why didn't we say it together just now?
Li Duo said, "I didn't eat breakfast, and that's part of your job. You don't think that just arranging a schedule in front of a computer is enough, do you?"
"You need to know everything about my life, from what I eat and wear to my daily meals and even what women like to eat. A salary isn't so easy to earn."
Wen Shu: "...Yes!"
Wen Shu ordered takeout again and had it delivered to Li Duo's office. "Please enjoy your meal, Mr. Li."

"Take your things away," Li Duo reminded him, noticing the handbag was still on the table.
Wen Shu reiterated, "President Li, that's not mine."
Li Duo slammed down his pen. "Women's clothes, you think they're mine?"
Wen Shu replied, "I don't know whose it is. I wore it once for work, so I guess President Li probably lost it."
Li Duo stood up and walked up to her: "Are you deliberately trying to provoke me?"
"President Li has misunderstood."
Li Duo handed the bag to her, saying, "Help me throw this away."
Wen Shu refused, "President Li, please don't make things difficult for me. I can't afford to lose this..."
Li Duo grabbed her waist and asked, "How could Bi Xueqing scare you so much? You got into trouble over something so small?"
Wen Shu replied, "Money is the courage of the poor. I really don't have any, please forgive me, Mr. Li."
Li Duo moved closer to her face, his breath hitting her skin. "Do you know, every time I see you acting so fierce yet so cowardly, I just want to kill you?"
Wen Shu tilted her head back, "It seems that Miss Lin Jingyu can't satisfy President Li..."
Li Duo gripped her waist with both hands, staring at her dangerously, his tone full of warning, "Wen Shu!"
Wen Shu met his gaze. "Lin Jingyu has been back for so many days, and President Li still keeps looking for me. Anyone would be curious."
"Curiosity killed the cat, didn't you know that?"
Wen Shu chuckled, "President Li has connections everywhere. If that's really the case, I can only accept my fate no matter how unwilling I am."
Li Duo was angered by her, "Don't misunderstand me!"
He moved closer to her lips, wanting to kiss her, but was suddenly stopped by a knock on the door. "President Li, there is a meeting in ten minutes."

Li Duo looked at Wen Shu: "This should be something you should be doing to inform them."
Wen Shu: "..."
