"I'm sorry, I'll be more careful next time."
After a brief silence, Wen Shu apologized readily without even the slightest hesitation.
After saying this, she reached out to open the car door and was about to get out when Li Duo grabbed her arm.
Wen Shu turned to look at him. "President Li just said that he was only coming over to say a few words. You have spoken, and I have listened. Is there anything else?"
Li Duo stared at her: "Don't you have anything to say?"
"What did you say?" Wen Shu asked back.
Why are you at the supermarket? Why do I keep running into you? What is your purpose?
Wen Shu looked at Li Duo's face and suddenly laughed, "Because I hired a private investigator in advance and learned about your and Miss Lin's movements beforehand."
“I used my son as a cover and deliberately appeared in front of you many times to show off to Miss Lin and also to prove to her that even if I have a child, President Li is still willing to sleep with me.”
"Is Mr. Li satisfied with my answer?"
Her eyes were full of mockery, her tone was full of sarcasm, and she stared at Li Duo, waiting for him to speak.
Li Duo tightened his grip on her wrist. "Is that what I meant?"
"President Li, I don't understand what you mean, but you came to me and warned me, doesn't that mean you're convinced I'm deliberately trying to get close to you?"
Li Duo said, "I'm just reminding you not to provoke Jing Yu."
Wen Shu let out a breath. "Mr. Li, may I ask you, apart from the chance encounter with you and Ms. Lin at the supermarket, what word did I say, what action did I take, or even a single glance that was provocative towards Ms. Lin?"
"What exactly did I say or do that made you think I was provoking you? Was it because I used cheap-smelling soap, or because I told her that Rou Rou is not my brother but my son?"
She only spoke three sentences to Lin Jingyu from beginning to end. How did he conclude that she had provoked Lin Jingyu?
Li Duo glanced at her. She hadn't said much to Jing Yu, but Li Duo knew that, often, the battles between women weren't just about words.
Many women do nothing; simply standing in front of someone is enough to constitute a provocation.
If Jing Yu felt uncomfortable, it must be because Wen Shu did something without his knowledge.
“You know perfectly well what you’ve done,” Li Duo said coldly. “You’ve put it so logically, you must know that you can’t find fault with yourself on the surface.”
Wen Shu was so angry she laughed. "Even the police need to catch a thief red-handed to catch him. You're like Qin Hui trying to frame Yue Fei, convicting him on a fabricated charge?"
She stared at Li Duo and asked suspiciously, "Mr. Li, are you actually trying to force me to resign? If Miss Lin can't see me, she won't be provoked."
Li Duo looked up at her. "Trying to leave?"
“Yes, I want to leave.” Wen Shu said, “I never expected that going to the supermarket would be considered a provocation. I’m afraid my days working at Li’s will never be peaceful.”
"For the sake of harmony between President Li and Miss Lin, I really think that my resignation is the best solution. After all, I have already foreseen the future."
Before Li Duo's expression could change, Wen Shu continued, "Of course, this is just my suggestion. If Mr. Li feels that my departure would make it inconvenient for you to satisfy your physiological needs, you can refuse to approve it."
Li Duo's hand suddenly clenched. "What did you say?!"
Wen Shu looked at him and replied, "President Li, you can't feel insulted just because I told the truth. Don't you think so?"
"You and Miss Lin are a match made in heaven. You two are always together, referring to each other as engaged."
She paused, then chuckled, "But you keep coming to me, so I have reason to suspect that you and Miss Lin aren't getting along in that area."
She looked at Li Duo and asked, "Miss Lin, can't you satisfy me in that aspect?"
Li Duo's expression changed. "Wen Shu, who gave you the audacity to speak to me like that?"
Wen Shu stared coldly into his eyes and suddenly said, "President Li, this is my way of provoking you!"
After saying that, she shoved his hand away and quickly got out of the car.
Before Li Duo could react, she slammed the door shut in front of him.
"That's right too!"
After saying that, she turned and ran away.
Her current feeling is anger, extreme anger.
The false accusation against Li Duo also reveals his narcissism!
The driver sat in the car, not daring to breathe loudly.
Li Duo closed his eyes, trying his best to calm the anger that she had aroused.
The source of this anger is unclear and inexplicable; perhaps it's because what she said hit the nail on the head and touched a nerve.
Or perhaps he was angry at her clarity of mind; she knew he had never intended to marry her, that he was only interested in her sexually, nothing more.
Li Duo took a deep breath. "Go to Changqing Garden!"
After returning to China, Lin Jingyu lived in Changqingyuan.
The doorbell rang, and Lin Jingyu saw the person outside the door through the peephole. She reached out and opened the door, "Aduo!"
Li Duo entered the room without even taking off his shoes and immediately pulled her into his arms.
Lin Jingyu burst out laughing. "Aduo, you've been drinking?"
"No!"
He spoke up somewhat sullenly, as if he were a child.
Lin Jingyu asked again, "You reek of alcohol, and you still dare to say you don't?"
"I didn't drink it!" he said again.
Lin Jingyu couldn't help but laugh. "Why did you suddenly decide to drink?"
She helped him sit on the sofa and hurriedly went to pour him some water, but Li Duo grabbed her arm, "Jing Yu..."
Lin Jingyu was taken aback, then sat back down with a doting expression. "What's wrong? You were fine when we parted, why are you suddenly acting all cute?"
Li Duo didn't say anything, but suddenly reached for her oversized t-shirt and pressed his body against hers.
