Li Duo's gaze was fixed on Wen Shu.
His face was tense, his expression icy, as if he wanted to freeze everything around him.
The moment Wen Shu saw Li Duo, she realized that the place Ma Biao had brought her to was actually Li Duo and Lin Jingyu's engagement party!
No wonder Ma Biao had asked her indirectly what kind of banquet she was attending on the way there; it turned out he was waiting for her here.

Li Duo stared intently at him. "Ma Biao, what do you mean? What exactly do you want with her brought here?"
Ma Biao, however, said nonchalantly, "President Li, you're mistaken. What do you mean, 'Why did I bring her here?' Miss Wen is my companion!"
"What's wrong? You're engaged with a beautiful bride in your arms, and you're not allowing guests to bring female companions? If you're not going to allow it, you should have told me earlier. I think it's perfectly fine for me to bring a pretty girl along!"
"Mr. Li, you wouldn't start discriminating against unmarried people after you got engaged, would you?"
Ma Biao said with a grin, "If you, as the host, don't mind, I'll join in the fun and propose to Miss Wen too?"
As he spoke, Ma Biao turned to stare at Wen Shu, his eyes filled with a strong warning: "Shu Shu, will you give me that kind of face?"
Wen Shu twitched the corner of her mouth. "If Master Ma condescends to propose, I have no choice but to agree."
Li Duo's face immediately turned ashen. "A marriage proposal? A marriage proposal is no child's play, especially at someone else's engagement party. Ma Biao, you're showing no respect for the Li family!"
Ma Biao came here today to cause trouble, but fortunately he knew his limits, so he kept using Wen Shu, who was beside him, to attack Li Duo.

Wen Shu pursed her lips and looked away.
Lin Jingyu wore a polite smile, her slender high heels clicking gracefully on the floor. She gently took Li Duo's arm and said, "So you're Miss Wen. Welcome."
She turned to look at Li Duo and asked, "A Duo, how come I didn't know you invited Miss Wen?"
At this moment, Wen Shu sensed that Ma Biao was acting strangely. She glanced at Ma Biao and found that he was staring at Lin Jingyu's face with an extremely presumptuous and unreasonable gaze.
Lin Jingyu didn't notice Ma Biao at first, and she didn't recognize him either; her attention was entirely focused on Wen Shu.
