Chapter 48 Love "Then take my love."
Zhao Yunsheng felt sorry for Wang Ying and held her in his arms. He was usually eloquent, but at this moment, he was speechless. He knew that no matter how much he comforted her, it would not make up for the hurt she had suffered in the past.
"Why do you look even sadder than me?" Wang Ying turned around and saw Zhao Yunsheng's sad face.
Zhao Yunsheng just hugged Wang Ying tighter and kissed her cheek...
"I'm fine. I'm used to it," Wang Ying said. "You act like I need to comfort you."
"There's no such thing as being okay, and there's no such thing as getting used to it," Zhao Yunsheng said. "Don't get used to unfair treatment. Yingzi, you can't get used to it."
"You're right, but I don't want it anymore." Wang Ying smiled and said, "I've really let it go. I'm just annoyed. You don't have to feel sad for me."
"Don't want it anymore?" Zhao Yunsheng let go of Wang Ying and looked at her.
"Well, I don't want their fairness, and I don't want their fatherly and motherly love either," said Wang Ying.
"Then take my love." Zhao Yunsheng looked into Wang Ying's eyes. "All my love."
Wang Ying always thought Zhao Yunsheng was corny, but when she looked into his eyes, she only felt deep affection.
"Okay." Wang Ying responded.
The next day, Monday, the sky cleared up. But after the autumn rain, the temperature dropped several degrees compared to the previous few days. After getting up that morning, Wang Ying changed into a thick woolen coat, and Zhao Yunsheng also put on another coat over his sweater.
When he put on his coat, he said regretfully, "Once I put on my coat, people won't be able to see my beautiful sweater."
"I think you still want to be stopped by a little girl on the street." Wang Ying said.
Zhao Yunsheng just smiled.
After breakfast, the Zhao family went to their respective jobs.
When Wang Ying arrived at the office, Luo Wenshu had already arrived, and less than five minutes later, all five people in the office were there.
"If we don't go back today, you still want us to pick oranges?" Xu Lili said as soon as she sat down.
"If we pick it up again today, we will go find the factory manager," said Luo Wenshu.
"You don't obey the organization's arrangements?" Zhou Qianjin said.
The five people stared at each other all morning. No one came to call them for a meeting, no one came to assign tasks, and they were not even asked to pick oranges.
Around noon, Wu Haiyang said he was going out for a while. When he came back, he told Wang Ying and others that all the factory leaders had gone to a meeting.
"After the meeting, we should have our tasks, right?" Luo Wenshu said. "If we don't start now, we won't be able to complete this year's production tasks, and our New Year's benefits will be gone."
"If I just sit here, I'll be embarrassed to collect my salary when it comes," said Xu Lili.
Wang Ying was not idle. He took a pencil and wrote and drew on paper in the morning.
"No. The leaders must have their own arrangements." Zhou Qianjin said.
It wasn't until after four in the afternoon that the leaders returned from their meeting. A comrade knocked on the R&D team's door and said, "Director Zheng told you not to rush off after get off work. The entire team should stay for a meeting."
The comrade left after he finished speaking, and several people in the office became excited.
"The indicators must have come down!" said Wu Haiyang.
"The leaders have been in a meeting for a whole day, so there must be new news." Luo Wenshu followed.
When it was time to get off work, other colleagues had already left work, and the people in the R&D team were eagerly waiting for Zheng Liancheng to hold a meeting with them.
They usually get off work at 5:30, and around 5:40 or 5:50, Deputy Director Zheng came over.
"The factory leaders just finished a meeting, and they must have made you wait anxiously," said Deputy Director Zheng.
"We are not in a hurry!" said Zhou Qianjin.
Zheng Liancheng sat down at the desk they had reserved for him, and several people faced him, ready to listen to his instructions.
Zheng Liancheng looked at their eager expressions and smiled, "We're going to a meeting in the city today. The leaders have a new task for you."
"What mission?" Wu Haiyang said excitedly.
"You all know that in recent years, the task of year-end benefits has exceeded the budget every year. So this year, you are required to come up with a plan and a budget first. After the plan and budget are completed, submit them for review. After the review, you can start production after the leadership agrees," said Zheng Liancheng.
Wang Ying asked, "Who came up with the previous plans and budgets? Wasn't it the factory?"
"The city directly gives us the quotas, and we only produce two things. However, the welfare benefits distributed each year are more than the budget. The factory has to subsidize it from ordinary non-welfare products every year," said Zheng Liancheng.
"The number of people doesn't match?" Zhou Qianjin said.
Director Zheng smiled and said, "At the end of the year, each unit will present a receipt and ask for benefits. We can't just not give them to them, right?"
Director Zheng's words were ambiguous, but Wang Ying could hear the problem. The list only gave the overall targets and headcount, without any breakdown. Something was fishy. The problem had been there for a long time, yet the food factory continued to do the same thing every year. Perhaps someone within the factory was taking advantage.
Another point is that no one wants to offend others, especially during the Chinese New Year.
Wang Ying finally understood why a new team had to be set up. It didn’t matter what the team was called. Their main task this year was not to develop new products, but to take the blame for offending others.
Wang Ying coughed lightly and said, "Director Zheng, does anyone have the right to issue this order? Can it be effective unilaterally?"
Zheng Liancheng smiled and didn't answer directly. He just said, "It's been like this in previous years, but this year, it's up to you."
"I'll give you three days to submit a plan each," said Zheng Liancheng.
"Will our plan be supported by you and the factory?" Wang Ying asked again.
"That's for sure," Zheng Liancheng said. "If I don't support you, why would I recruit you?"
"I understand." Wang Ying responded.
Zheng Liancheng said, "Go for it, don't worry. Just give me the plan before the end of get off work on Thursday."
Several people agreed, and Zheng Liancheng encouraged them a few more words before leaving.
The leader left, but a few comrades remained seated. Luo Wenshu said, "I finally understand. They're asking us to offend someone."
"It's obvious." Zhou Qianjin said.
"It's not easy." Wu Haiyang scratched his head.
"What if I can't write a plan?" Xu Lili was already starting to have a headache.
Wang Ying said: "Writing a plan is not difficult, but implementing it and getting it approved is difficult."
Luo Wenshu nodded: "It's like writing a flower, but it's useless if it can't be implemented."
Wang Ying packed up her things and said, "Let's go home first. We'll talk about it tomorrow."
Several people packed up their things and left work.
Wang Ying guessed that Zhao Yunsheng must have come to pick her up.
Sure enough, when the five people walked to the factory gate, they all saw Zhao Yunsheng standing in the autumn wind.
As soon as Zhao Yunsheng saw Wang Ying, he smiled and waved at her.
"Tsk tsk, someone's worried and came to pick you up. Wang Ying, you and your husband have such a great relationship." Xu Lili said beside her, "I'm so envious."
Wang Ying smiled and said, "What's there to envy? It's the same after getting married."
"It's different. Not every woman can marry a good husband," said Xu Lili.
As they walked out of the factory, Zhao Yunsheng greeted them all. After saying goodbye to his colleagues, Zhao Yunsheng said, "Why are you so late today? Hurry up and get in the car."
"I'm in a meeting." Wang Ying said as he got into the car.
Fortunately, the factory was not far from home, so it only took a few minutes to get home by bike. After arriving home, Wang Ying went to the kitchen to help. After the meal was cooked, Wang Ying took the dishes and chopsticks to the main room.
Director Zhao had already arrived home and was listening to the radio. He casually said to Wang Ying, "You two had your meeting, right?"
"Well, Deputy Director Zheng asked us to submit a plan each in three days," said Wang Ying.
"It's not a bad thing." Director Zhao said, "It all depends on your ability. Do your best."
Wang Ying felt Director Zhao had a hidden agenda. She suspected their group would soon have a leader. After all, if they wanted to do this, they couldn't do it without a leader, even a team leader. Otherwise, Director Zheng would have to take the blame.
As for airborne operations, Wang Ying felt that the possibility was not great. This year's mission was a hot potato, and no one wanted to take it.
After dinner, Wang Ying and Zhao Yunsheng cleaned up the kitchen together, prepared breakfast for the next morning, and went upstairs together.
After Wang Ying went upstairs, she rummaged through her dowry box and found a roll of wool.
"Yingzi, what are you doing?" Zhao Yunsheng asked.
"Guess." Wang Ying turned the wool in his hand.
Zhao Yunsheng said, "This little bit of wool isn't enough to make me a sweater."
Wang Ying smiled and asked, "Is it enough to knit gloves?"
Wang Ying thought that the weather was getting colder and Zhao Yunsheng's hands would be frozen when riding his bike to work, so she knitted a pair of gloves for him very quickly.
Zhao Yunsheng ran over and hugged Wang Ying: "Yingzi, why are you so kind to me? It's just getting cold, and you're already worried about my frozen hands."
Wang Ying couldn't push him away, so they just held each other's hands and feet and walked to the bed.
"Don't make trouble. I may be busy next. Let me knit the gloves for you first, and then knit a hat for you." Wang Ying said.
Zhao Yunsheng just smiled, rested his chin on Wang Ying's shoulder, and rubbed his face against Wang Ying's neck hard.
Wang Ying took out her knitting needles, sat down in bed, and knitted gloves for Zhao Yunsheng.
"Don't you want to measure the size of my hand?" Zhao Yunsheng asked from the side when he saw Wang Ying started talking.
"No need, I know how big your hands are." Wang Ying said without raising his head.
Zhao Yunsheng chuckled: "I also know how old Yingzi is."
Wang Ying ignored him and pretended not to hear.
Zhao Yunsheng watched for a while and said, "Isn't the light in the room a little dim?"
"It's OK," Wang Ying said. "I can weave without watching."
"It's just a matter of practice." Zhao Yunsheng said as he leaned towards Wang Ying and was almost pricked by the knitting needle.
"Well, if you have nothing to do, you can either read a book or tell me a story. Don't let me prick you again," said Wang Ying.
"Then let me tell you a story. Let's change the story today," said Zhao Yunsheng.
"Okay." Wang Ying responded.
"Once upon a time there was a foreign landowner..."
"Why is there another foreign landlord?"
"There are many foreign landlords, and the people have not been liberated." Zhao Yunsheng said with a smile.
"Okay, okay, go on." Wang Ying said.
After Zhao Yunsheng finished telling a story, Wang Ying had finished knitting a pair of gloves for him.
"Come and try it." Wang Ying threw the gloves to Zhao Yunsheng.
"You knit so fast!" Zhao Yunsheng exclaimed, picked it up and put it on his right hand, it was just right.
Wang Ying yawned and said, "It's getting late, let's go to bed." After saying that, Wang Ying lay down.
Zhao Yunsheng turned his hands back and forth, looking at the gloves, feeling very happy. He turned off the light and went to sleep with the gloves on.
After Zhao Yunsheng lay down, he went to hug Wang Ying. Wang Ying touched the gloves on his hands, pulled them off and stuffed them under the pillow.
