Side Story 3: Xia Ning x Zhang Ye 01

Xia Ning was so angry with him that she was thirsty, so she picked up the teacup in front of her and drank it. Zhang Ye kindly reminded her, "This is mine."

Xia Ning said "Oh," and then added, "So what? You won't let me drink it? This tea and this cup are still mine."

Zhang Ye chuckled softly, "I said this is the one I drank."

Xia Ning choked on a mouthful of water. "Cough cough, why didn't you say so earlier?"

He looked completely innocent. "You didn't ask?"

Xia Ning was surprised; she thought he was there to cause trouble, but he turned out to be there for tea.

He wouldn't leave and stayed until four o'clock. Xia Ning didn't want to say anything in front of her grandmother, so she gently reminded him, "It's getting late, you should go home. Your family is probably still waiting for you."

Zhang Ye stood up. "Grandma, I'm leaving now."

Grandma nodded. "Drive carefully."

Seeing that the Buddha statue had finally left, Xia Ning and her grandmother prepared dinner.

The next day was the Mid-Autumn Festival. Xu Lai sent over hairy crabs and mooncakes, and she returned the favor with a box of mooncakes. Looking at Xu Lai's expression of bewilderment at the return of mooncakes, she couldn't help but laugh.

Since it was a holiday, Xia Ning steamed the hairy crabs and made a sumptuous dinner. After dinner, Grandma prepared to rest early. Feeling bored, she rode her electric bike to Xu Lai's house.

She ran into Xu Shen on the way, sped up and rushed past him, arriving a few minutes earlier than him.

As soon as she entered, she saw Zhao Qingyun's "Why are you here?" expression. She pulled up a stool and sat down next to Xu Lai, enjoying watching his embarrassed look.

When Xu Shen arrived, they played mahjong for a while. When they were so tired that they couldn't stay awake any longer, Xia Ning rode her electric bike home.

After returning to my room and taking a shower, I received a WeChat message. It was a red envelope from Zhang Ye, with the note "Extra fee".

Xia Ning chuckled. She hadn't planned to accept the payment before seeing those three words, but since he had said so, she clicked "accept." "Extra fee, right? Then I'll accept it. It's what I deserve anyway."

The result showed the amount: "520".

Xia Ning's ears burned, and she sent a screenshot: "Are you up to something?"

Zhang Ye smiled as he stood by the window and replied, "If you say so, then so be it."

Xia Ning couldn't help but curse, "What a cunning man, you scumbag!" and then hung up the phone.

Zhang Ye looked up at the moon. "The moon is quite round. It means that things between her and me are destined to be perfect. Hmm, it's a good omen."

Moon: ? I didn't say anything.
