Chapter 27
Battle pets in the army are used for combat, and in extremely dangerous and urgent situations, they may be sacrificed if necessary.
Battle pets undergo rigorous and demanding training, and are generally calm and obedient. Ji Fang, looking at the lively and intelligent Qiao Ye, did not want his original human to be as obedient as a soldier.
Ji Fang liked the free-spirited and fearless nature of the original people.
Ji Fang carried Qiao Ye home and gave him a good hot bath. Qiao Ye usually wears his pet clothes by himself now, but today he had been exercising at the battle pet training ground. He had never exercised so much before, and the sudden exercise caused him some aftereffects. His muscles are now extremely sore.
Qiao dressed painfully, feeling weak in her arms and legs, and kept groaning until she got to bed.
Seeing that he was stiff and didn't come to his lap to read together as usual, Ji Fang put the book on the bedside table, turned his head and asked, "Where do you feel uncomfortable?"
Qiao was in pain, her arm in a sling, unable to lift it, and looked pitifully at Ji Fang.
That's it, I probably won't even be able to go down the stairs tomorrow.
Ji Fang pulled him into his arms and massaged his arm muscles with both hands. He didn't control the pressure well, and a pain made Qiao Ye howl out and try to escape the clutches.
Ji Fang pulled him back, laid him on her lap, and continued to relax his muscles. "Don't move, I'll be gentle! It'll be fine in a bit."
Qiao believed him and said it would be fine in a while, but unfortunately it wasn't. His arms and thighs were pressed down, the force was light at first, but then it kept increasing. The room was filled with Qiao's painful howls and groans.
After all that commotion, and having played enough during the day, Qiao quickly became sleepy and drifted off to sleep.
Qiao Ye, who usually sleeps very quietly, actually started snoring softly today.
Ji Fang was surprised that the original human could snore. He curiously leaned closer to stare at the sleeping Qiao Ye. Qiao Ye was good-looking, with skin as delicate as a Cohen child's, thick and long eyelashes, and his breathing was accompanied by snoring, his chest rising and falling.
Ji Fang stretched out two fingers to pinch the original man's little nose, thinking it would wake up, but Qiao also unconsciously opened his mouth to breathe.
He released his hand from pinching the nose, closed Qiao Ye's mouth again, and then pried open its lips to see its neat teeth.
Qiao was probably getting impatient. She waved her hand away from Ji Fang's mischievous hand, then turned over and went back to sleep.

The next morning, when Ji Fang got up, Qiao Ye also woke up. He moved his arms and although they were still a little sore, it didn't affect his movements.
I never expected my master's massage to be so effective.
Qiao saw that Ji Fang had almost finished washing up, and immediately jumped up, wondering if his master would lock him up at home again.
Qiao also got up as quickly as possible and followed Ji Fang out the door.
Ji Fang picked him up, combed his hair with his fingers, and smiled, "I won't leave you at home. We're going fishing today."
Qiao also remembered that his master had promised Zhou Shiqing to go fishing yesterday. He was surprised that his master would take him to a social event, which made him quite excited.
Fishing definitely takes place outdoors, and since being domesticated, he hasn't really had any outdoor activities.
Soon, Ji Fang and Zhou Shiqing met up, each with a bodyguard, and set off in their car.
After driving for about an hour, they arrived at a wide-open lakeside. Joe was also taken out and was stunned by the magnificent scenery.
The lake is vast, with snow-capped mountains in the distance, below which lies a wide grassland where various birds fly. On the other side of the lake, a lush forest stretches as far as the eye can see.
"I've known for a long time that there's a Ling Shan Lake on the border of Nan Xuan, where fish are plentiful and have tender white flesh. I've always wanted to come here to fish, have some outdoor barbecue, and enjoy a few drinks." Zhou Shiqing said enthusiastically as he began preparing his fishing gear.
“Commander Zhou, you seem to be in high spirits, but this is the border area, near the lake in the Youyuan Forest. Some of the fish may have mutated, which could be very dangerous,” Ji Fang warned.
"With someone as capable as Commander Ji around, I'm quite at ease. This mere fish monster is nothing to worry about!" Zhou Shiqing laughed and said nonchalantly.
Zhou Shiqing found a spot by the lake and beckoned Ji Fang and his group over.
After Ji Fang went over, he started organizing his fishing gear, and Qiao watched from the side, helping to move folding chairs.
Zhou Shiqing had already cast his line into the water. He glanced at Yuan Ren and said, "This little thing is quite clever. It can not only trick people, but also help carry things. No wonder you bring it with you every day, Xiao Ji."
His tone suggested that he didn't seem to care about the time when Qiao Ye almost tripped him. Qiao Ye felt that this person's attitude was ambiguous, neither like someone who didn't hold a grudge nor someone who disliked him. His attitude towards Ji Fang was also strange.
Joe couldn't understand it either; this was probably the brilliance of politicians, making them unpredictable.
Ji Fang went fishing and chatted with Zhou Shiqing. Qiao was also allowed to play in the water and grassland. He studied some stones by the river and found that the stones here were all larger than those on Earth.
Joe washed his hands. The water was cool, but it was summer, so it wasn't too cold. He took off his shoes and played in the water barefoot.
I lifted a rock with all my might, and suddenly a big thing appeared, baring its teeth and claws—oh my, it's a crab! I never expected there would be a crab inside a rock!
This crab was really big in Qiao Ye's eyes. Those two pincers could easily pinch off his fingers if he wasn't careful.
Qiao ran over to Ji Fang, found a net and a bucket in the box of fishing gear, and ran over there again.
Li Cheng and Wu Yuan, the bodyguard Zhou Shiqing brought, were setting up the barbecue area. He saw Qiao Ye take off his shoes to go play in the water and said, "Ling Mu, be careful, don't go too far!"
Joe also raised the net and waved it.
Wu Yuan looked at Li Cheng and asked, "Can this Yuanren still understand what you're saying?"
Li Cheng said proudly, "Of course, Ling Mu is very smart..." He originally wanted to show off that the boss's original human could control the terminal, but thinking that this guy might be here to spy on military intelligence, he decided to keep a low profile.
Li Cheng had a sudden inspiration and tentatively asked, "Don't your generals also keep native people in their homes?"
Wu Yuan casually scoffed, "Don't even mention it. General Zhou's father really likes the Primals and often sends them over. But the Primals he sends over are all afraid of him. You know, our General Zhou's mental strength level is 3S, and it might even have increased."
Li Cheng thought to himself, "Increase? Zhou Shiqing is already old, his mental strength level has long been stable. If there's any room for increase, it's their boss."
On the surface, Li Cheng smiled and agreed, "That's right, Commander Zhou is really amazing! What about the original man that General Zhou's father sent later?"
Wu Yuan said, "You've eaten?"
Li Cheng thought he had misheard and repeated, "Eat?!"
Wu Yuan spread his hands: "Those primitive people were so scared when they saw our boss that they peed and soiled themselves. Our Second Army didn't set up a battle pet regiment, and our boss didn't want primitive people either. He was also very opposed to soldiers using primitive people to soothe their mental energy. So he waved his hand and ordered the logistics canteen to kill them to make extra food for the soldiers."
Li Cheng: "..."
Wu Yuan continued, "To be honest, the raw human flesh was quite delicious, but it made the old man furious. When he got home, the eldest son was chased and beaten."
Li Cheng remained silent, not wanting to speak to Wu Yuan.

Joe wanted to catch crabs, so he carefully moved the stones one by one. When he moved the fourth stone, he found another crab. Joe hurriedly tried to catch it with a net. At first, he was not very good at this method. After failing twice in a row, he finally caught a crab that was bigger than two hands!
He was overjoyed, put the crabs in the bucket, and moved on to the next one. After catching three in a row, he was exhausted.
Seeing Ji Fang fishing in the distance, he picked up the bucket of crabs and ran barefoot to his owner to share them.
"Did you catch these?" Ji Fang looked at the plump crabs in the bucket with a hint of surprise.
Joe handed him the bucket, wanting him to empty the crabs so he could catch more fish. A small stream extended from the lake, where many fish were swimming.
Zhou Shiqing stuck the fishing rod in place and, also interested, peeked over. He was greatly surprised: "Wow, that's amazing! You can catch crabs. This one that the original man raised has some value."
Joe ran to the stream and built a circle around a section of water using stones and mud from the lakeside. It was a huge project, and he worked up a sweat. Then he used buckets to drain the water from the circled area. Once the water was gone, many fish began to struggle in the mud.
If you could make a pot of fresh fish soup, the taste would be absolutely amazing!
He just saw that Li Cheng and his friends set up a barbecue grill; grilled fish looks good!
Just thinking about all the delicious flavors made Joe's mouth water.
Joe also saw a big one in the mud, as long as him. It was definitely the biggest fish he had ever seen in real life! He tried to catch it with a net, but the fish was so strong that it struggled and broke the net, almost dragging him down.
Just as the fish was about to jump out of the mud circle and run into the lake, Qiao hurriedly went down into the mud to try to grab the net, but the mud instantly submerged him up to his waist.
Joe panicked a little, but he grabbed the net handle. The fish struggled with great force, pulling him upwards.
He underestimated the fish's strength. With his small frame, he might get eaten. He immediately shouted, "Help! Someone, come quick!"
Fortunately, the wind was blowing in the direction of the owner, and the sound quickly traveled there. Ji Fang immediately stood up and looked towards the source of the sound, but he didn't see the original person. He only heard an urgent voice. Ji Fang put down his fishing rod and immediately went to check.
By the time Ji released it, the fish that Qiao had caught in the net had already jumped to the other side of the lake, but Qiao held the net tightly, and the fish hadn't escaped yet.
Qiao saw Ji Fang arrive and excitedly shouted, "Fish, hurry, hurry, hurry!"
Worried that Ji Fang wouldn't understand, he excitedly pronounced the Cohen word for "fish".
As soon as Ji Fang got closer, the fish seemed to get even more agitated, and it dragged Qiao Ye out of the mud. Qiao Ye felt a stinging pain in his arm from being dragged, probably because he had bumped into something and broken his skin.
Seeing that things were not going well, Ji Fang immediately pounced over and slapped the fish on the head, instantly stunning it.
Watching Qiao's frantic attempts at catching fish, and then looking at Yuan Ren, who was covered in mud and almost unrecognizable, Ji Fang felt a mix of exasperation and amusement: "Are you so anxious you can speak human language now? Aren't you afraid of getting eaten by the fish?"
Ji Fang carried a large fish in one hand and Qiao Ye, who was covered in mud, in the other, and walked towards Li Cheng.
Just then, Zhou Shiqing also caught a fish, no smaller than Qiao Ye's. When he saw Ji Fang carrying the mud-covered Yuanren and fish in his hands, he was shocked: "Wow, you caught a fish in just one trip? Your efficiency is amazing!"
Ji Fang hummed in agreement, then compared the fish he had just caught with the one Zhou Shiqing had caught, and said, "Not bad."
He put the fish on the ground, grabbed Joe, and headed towards the lake to wash him.
Zhou Shiqing said, "Wash it further away. I've made a fish trap here, so don't scare the fish away." Looking at the Yuanren covered in mud, he joked, "This Yuanren is no good. Let's just wash him clean with the fish and stew him."
Qiao couldn't stand these words either. He immediately thought of the original hot pot from before and became agitated. He picked up a stone from the ground and threw it at Zhou Shiqing!
