Chapter 85 Blurting out Like
This action was like a red-hot iron, instantly burning through Jiang Chejin's last bit of sanity.
His eyes suddenly turned red. Every time before, whether it was a conflict with someone at school or a fight outside, Xu Yueqing would always stand in front of him without saying a word.
She protected him with her thin shoulders.
But now, she stood up again to protect another man.
And the one she wants to be hostile to is herself.
"Xu Yueqing!"
Jiang Chejin's voice suddenly rose, with a slight tremor that he himself didn't even notice.
"I'm tired of hearing this over and over again. Just tell me clearly what your relationship with my uncle is!"
He roared, his chest heaving violently.
The two men, one in front and one behind, their eyes as sharp as torches, fell on Xu Yueqing's figure at the same time.
Xu Yueqing's expression, that side face with red and swollen fingerprints, revealed an extremely cold beauty under the light.
The dead silence lasted for three seconds.
Just when Jiang Chejin was about to be driven crazy by the silence, Xu Yueqing turned his head slightly, a mocking smile appearing at the corner of his lips.
She looked at Jiang Chejin and uttered a few words clearly, word by word.
"I'm in love with your uncle."
For a moment, the air froze.
Jiang Chejin's mind buzzed and went blank.
He even forgot how to be angry. He just thought that this was the funniest joke in the world and it was ridiculous to the extreme.
Falling in love with his uncle?
Time seemed to have been paused.
A full ten seconds passed before Jiang Chejin came back to his senses like a puppet that had been wound up again.
The rage in those red eyes was almost bursting out, and his gaze scraped back and forth between the two of them like a knife.
"Xu Yueqing."
He squeezed out her name from between his teeth, each word carrying a venomous threat.
"Say that again."
Xu Yueqing faced his murderous expression head-on without a trace of fear on her face.
She even took a small step forward, closer to him.
Then, he repeated, "I said, I like Mr. Ji."
Xu Yueqing didn't wait for Jiang Chejin to recover from the momentary blankness before speaking again.
Her voice was calm, but every word she said was like a needle tempered by ice, piercing and hurting.
"Are you going to ask why?"
Jiang Chejin's pupils suddenly shrank.
Xu Yueqing looked at him and continued, "Then I'll tell you."
"Because Mr. Ji is mature and steady, and considerate of others, but you," she paused, a hint of pity in her eyes, "Jiang Chejin, people can't stand comparison."
Jiang Chejin's expression instantly became even uglier.
"While you were living a life of luxury in the club, spending lavishly on Xu Yingluo, my mother was in the hospital and nearly died."
"It was Mr. Ji who saved me when I was most desperate."
"You are my boyfriend, always saying you're with me, but you're completely indifferent to everything I do. Mr. Ji is just my sponsor, an outsider, yet he finds time and again to help me out despite his busy schedule."
"Now, do you understand?"
These words were like a silent slap in Jiang Chejin's face.
His face turned from ashen to pale, and all the blood drained away.
He wanted to retort, but his throat seemed to be blocked by something and he couldn't utter a word.
After a long time, he finally squeezed out a word from between his teeth.
"Your mother is seriously ill and needs money. You never told me these things!"
