Chapter 189: The Same Path for Everyone (Part 3)
The eldest brother walked forward with his unrecognizable face, his eyes clear and stupid.
Yu Huo raised his arm and put his arm around the other man's shoulders without any disdain: "Brother! Help me keep an eye on that beauty in the room and don't let her run away. I'll give you a beer when I come back."
The eldest brother swallowed greedily and nodded.
Yu Huo took two steps, then turned back worriedly and warned, "Don't bite him!"
The eldest brother exclaimed and continued to nod.
Yu Huo finally felt relieved and rushed into the shopping mall nearby with a small yellow-green schoolbag on his back.
The square was not as lively as usual at this time. The ground was littered with messy footprints and shopping bags of various goods.
He ignored the zombies still wandering around the mall and walked up the stalled escalator to the food court on the fifth floor.
The fifth floor was a mess!
The leftover soup spilled on the ground was so thick that it could be used to draw pictures. Yu Huo carefully avoided the oil stains, stretched out his hands to push away the annoying zombies in front of him, and took out an alcohol pot and some ingredients from a small shop.
There are some things that the system doesn't like about itself, and it always comes out to make sarcastic remarks when Yu Huo is in a good mood.
[Just take it and leave? Host, you must be very rich, right?]
The smile on Yu Huo's face disappeared in an instant, and he once again remembered the fear of being dominated by the three words "tall, rich and handsome".
"Isn't it the same whether you have money or not?
Don’t talk to me about the second generation of rich or the second generation of poor, we have entered the era of zero-yuan shopping.”
The system felt comfortable with the criticism and fell into silence.
Yu Huo hummed a song as he went downstairs, and before leaving, he did not forget to grab two bottles of beer. At this moment, a rhythmic sound of footsteps came from the escalator.
He paused slightly and looked towards the stairs.
A little girl in a white dress appeared in his sight. The girl looked to be about twelve or thirteen years old. She stood in the middle of the escalator from the sixth floor to the fifth floor, looking at him with vigilance.
Time seemed to stand still, and two pairs of equally scarlet eyes stared at each other.
She seemed a little flustered, but for some reason, she still pretended to be calm and spread out her palm with confidence: "Give it to me."
His voice was not as tender as it should be for a person of his age, but rather unusually hoarse, like a person who had lost his voice and was speaking again, dry and unpleasant.
A few seconds later, Yu Huo took an uncontrollable step forward under the other party's increasingly expectant gaze.
As if being controlled, Yu Huo was immediately shocked. The little girl in front of him had actually become a level three zombie just after entering the apocalypse.
He subconsciously tightened the alcohol pot in his hand, his scarlet pupils dimmed in an instant, and he calmly retracted his leg that had taken a step forward.
"No."
The little girl shuddered instantly, as if she was frightened. She opened her mouth and asked with difficulty: "You...you are the same as me?"
Yu Huo narrowed his eyes: "What's the same?"
The little girl seemed to have found a kindred spirit, and the vigilance in her eyes faded a lot: "They can still speak, but those who were bitten can't speak..."
Yu Huo held the alcohol pot and chuckled, "Little sister, today is Wednesday, why are you in the mall?"
"Little girl?" he asked, not quite following his train of thought.
At this moment, Yu Huo said "Oh~" meaningfully: "You bad boy, you actually skipped school!"
Little girl: “…!”
In the supermarket on the other side, a man who had taken a nap opened his eyes and subconsciously reached out to touch the pistol on the table, but found nothing.
He suddenly sat up, glaring fiercely at the few people in the room who still looked dazed, and shouted, "Who stole my gun? Are you looking for death?!"
This shout frightened everyone so much that they shuddered and looked at the man in horror.
Subconsciously, when they met the man's gaze, many people quickly shook their heads in fear and huddled behind the shelves, saying, "No, I didn't steal..."
"Neither have I."
"Brother, don't look at me. I haven't moved since I came in."
"Yeah, I haven't moved either. I've been sitting here..."
Because of the zombie attack, they escaped from the bus. Basically, their homes were not in the local area, and there was no communication. Everyone had not recovered yet and could only stare blankly in confusion.
The man took a look at the snack packaging bags and the overturned water bottles on the tile floor, and his suspicious eyes instantly fell on the two people sitting by the small window.
Liang Hongzhuo was frightened by the man's fierce eyes and shrank his neck. "No, we just threw away some trash and came back quickly. We really didn't touch your gun. Big brother, did you forget where you put it?"
The man turned his gaze away from Liang Hongzhuo and looked at the handsome young man who was sitting in front of the small window with his head down: "You took it!"
I don't know if he was looking for trouble, but he seemed to have made up his mind. He walked towards Jiang Feng, grabbed his collar and lifted him up: "You are so brave, you dare to steal my gun? Believe it or not, I will kill you right now!"
The young man frowned and took a deep breath: "I didn't steal!"
"That's hard to say." The man said, and his other hand touched the young man's face dishonestly: "If you know what's good for you, hand it over quickly. It won't be pleasant for me to search you~"
Seeing the young man's increasingly dark pupils, the man sneered: "Don't even think about blackmailing me, I won't fall for that! You're not a woman. Even if I strip you naked and put you in jail for five years, at least I can have a good time today. I've played in the club so many times, but I've never met a top-notch person like you..."
The fingers covered with thick calluses looked rough and ugly against the cold white skin, and the other people in the supermarket subconsciously looked away.
If this happened to a girl, they might be able to act as heroes and save her, but if it was a man... there would be no desire to do it out of impulse at all.
The end of the world has just begun. Faced with the supplies in a supermarket, no one would risk confronting an armed criminal.
Who knows if that guy had hidden the gun on purpose, looking for an excuse to take advantage of that pretty man?
What if they fail to save the adult and end up getting themselves into trouble?
We are all men, so we’d better wish you good luck!
Just when they were secretly experiencing the condemnation of their conscience, a dispute broke out in front of the window. It seemed like something was knocked to the ground, and they subconsciously looked in the direction of the sound.
A frosty white reflection pierced my eyes. When my vision returned to normal, I saw the particularly handsome man in front of the window holding a fruit knife dripping with blood. There was a glaring red on his face. The wound was very deep, from the corner of his eye to the chin. A long cut ran through the entire left face, and blood was dripping.
It's like a piece of exquisite porcelain with a long history that has been broken and cracked beyond repair, instantly losing its true value...
Jiang Feng seemed unconscious, staring at the other person coldly: "I'll say it again, I didn't steal your gun."
The man's hand was still suspended in the air, and the interest in his eyes gradually faded as he looked at the long, deep, horrific scar.
Perhaps because of his ruthlessness, the man really believed Jiang Feng's words. He then rubbed the warm blood on his wrist back on the other person with disgust, then picked up Liang Hongzhuo and questioned him with great certainty.
"That's what you took, hand it over! Don't force me to fight you seriously..."
Liang Hongzhuo shook his head desperately, his face instantly pale as paper: "Brother, I didn't do that! I'm just a college student who hasn't graduated yet, what would I do with your gun? I really didn't steal it!"
As the two of them confronted each other, neither noticed that the young man with a bloody face was quietly reaching behind the curtains, his index finger gently pressing the cold trigger...
