Chapter 19: Eldar

When Shen Yushu heard Hua Yanyue's words, he didn't know whether he should respond or not.

Hmm? What's the only one?

Why does this sound weird?

"Master, why don't you answer me? Isn't Yue'er your only disciple?" Hua Yanyue asked with a smile.

Oh, so that’s what you mean.

Why has Yue'er been speaking more and more strangely lately?

Shen Yushu thought so in his heart, but still replied, "Of course. Only you."

Hua Yanyue smiled contentedly, her lowered eyes concealing all her thoughts.

It’s okay, don’t worry. It’s great that Master is willing to explain it to me on his own initiative.

Don't be too greedy.

But what can I do? Master.

I'm really scared. I'm scared that you've fallen in love with someone else without me noticing.

If that happens...Yue'er will go crazy.

"Then... Yue'er, can you tell me how Master brought Fifth Uncle back? And why did he become Master's senior brother?" Hua Yanyue asked.

Shen Yushu looked at Hua Yanyue, who was extremely beautiful, with a deep look in his eyes.

She slowly spoke, "At that time, I had just passed through the Nascent Soul stage and was returning to the sect when I accidentally passed by a house..."

....

"Old man, is this young man really a spirit?"

In the small wooden house, a woman spoke in a low voice.

She looked at the boy who was chained in the corner. He was only about fifteen or sixteen years old, with silver hair and silver eyes, and a face that was so handsome that it was difficult to tell whether it was male or female.

"What else? What? You still don't believe it? You've been eating the flesh and blood of this spirit for a few days. Don't you know whether you are a spirit or not? You look like this now. Who would know that you are already in your sixties? You still ask me all day long. Aren't you tired of it?!" The man in hunter clothes interrupted the woman impatiently.

The woman shrank her head in fear and said with a smile, "I said the wrong thing, don't be angry, old man."

"Okay, stop calling me old man and call me by my name. We'll go down the mountain once we've completely recovered our youthful appearance. This spirit kid's flesh and blood is truly a treasure. It can even regenerate. After we get down the mountain, we'll refine his flesh and blood into elixirs and make a killing. Hahaha..."

"Go ahead and dig out his heart today, we'll cook it and eat it, and then we'll go down the mountain tomorrow."

"I understand. I'll go right away."

The woman replied, turned around and went to the stove to get a knife, then walked towards the boy. The cowardice and timidity in her eyes when facing the man completely disappeared, replaced by disgusting greed.

The young man, chained to the corner, stared at the woman with a pair of silver eyes, as calm as a pool of stagnant water.

"This brat's eyes are so scary. I'm going to dig out your eyes and stew them. They can grow back anyway." The woman was startled by the look on her face and muttered softly.

It can be heard from her words that she has done this kind of thing many times, so even though she said such cruel words, she didn't feel anything at all.

The boy said nothing and just looked at her quietly.

The woman was frightened by the look on her face and she picked up a knife to dig out the boy's eyes.

Suddenly, a sword flew out of nowhere and pierced through her heart. The woman fell to the ground defenselessly, her eyes still blank before she died.

"brute."

Just then a cold voice was heard, and a figure stood at the door with backlight, like a god descending from heaven.

The young man looked up and saw the person dressed in white, cold and noble, like a banished immortal. She held a long sword in her hand and walked gracefully to him, looking down at him, then raised the sword.

The young man quickly closed his eyes, thinking he was going to die, but with a loud noise, the chains that bound him were cut off by a sword.

"Go away, go back to where you should go. People are treacherous. Don't trust others easily. Don't get caught again next time." I only heard her say that.

After saying that, she turned and left. The young man stumbled to his feet and hurriedly chased after her. Before he left the house, he was tripped by the man's body on the ground. He quickly got up again and caught up with her.

After walking for a while, Shen Yushu saw that he was still following him, so he turned around and asked, "Why are you following me?"

The boy lowered his head timidly and said nothing.

Shen Yushu frowned, called out to the gods and stood on it, took out a mustard seed from his waist and threw it at his feet.

"There are some spirit stones in here. Use them to buy some clothes. Also, you need to hide your appearance so that no one can discover your identity. You won't be so lucky next time."

After Shen Yushu finished speaking, he recited a mantra, and the gods flew away at a very fast speed and soon disappeared without a trace.

The boy quickly picked up the mustard seeds on the ground and ran barefoot in the direction she left.

When Shen Yushu saw the boy again, his feet were covered in blood and wounds. His silver hair was now black with mud. He was wearing a tattered cloak picked up from somewhere, which covered his face and his captivating silver eyes.

"Are you the elf?" She looked at the boy in surprise.

I don’t understand how he ended up here, and her whereabouts are irregular, so how did he find her?

The young man looked at her with a pale face, walked up to her and knelt down with a plop.

"Please...I beg the immortal to accept me as his disciple and teach me my immortal teachings."

The boy said the first words since they met.

Shen Yushu looked at him silently for a moment, then said, "I won't accept any disciples."

When the young man heard this, he knelt on the ground with even more piety, "Then please let me follow you, Immortal. Even if it means being your slave, Cang Ming is willing to do so."

Shen Yushu looked at him quietly. After a while, he counted on his fingers and said, "Forget it. We are destined to be together. Just follow me back."

Cang Ming was delighted and said excitedly, "Thank you, Immortal."

"You don't have to call me immortal. My surname is Chen and my given name is Yushu. People call me Qinglian, so just call me by my name," she said.

"Yu Shu." Cang Ming smiled shyly and called out.

Shen Yushu was silent.

Never mind, it’s just a newly transformed spirit, no need to worry too much.

Shen Yushu brought Cang Ming back to the First Sect. Cang Ming had just transformed into the human world and was very timid and shy. He didn't dare to talk to anyone except Shen Yushu. He followed her all day long and refused to leave no matter what Shen Yushu said.

"Hey, Qinglian, are you planning to accept this spirit as your disciple? Keeping him by your side all day long and teaching him magic." Someone said jokingly.

Shen Yushu shook his head upon hearing this. "No, Cang Ming just transformed. There are many things he doesn't understand and he's very timid. I'm just teaching him. Also, he has a connection with my master. I've accepted him as a disciple on his behalf. He will be my disciple from now on."

"Oh, how many disciples have you accepted for your master? Now you are...going to have another little junior brother?" The man joked with a smile.

"It's senior brother." Shen Yushu denied.

"Ah? Shouldn't it be Junior Brother?"

"Cang Ming insists on being my senior brother, but it's not a big deal after all. He is still young, so let him be." Shen Yushu was helpless.

"You seem quite concerned about this Eldar."

"The spirit race has always been kind-hearted. He encountered a disaster right after he was born, so it wouldn't hurt to protect him a little more."
