Chapter 13: Still a Little Hot

Chapter 13: Still a Little Hot

"Mr. Qi." Jiang Rao smiled at him as soon as she stepped out of the door.

Qi Ze looked at her. Jiang Rao still had her makeup on, her black hair tied up in a bun, and her costume was baggy, revealing the fullness of her chest, yet her waist was empty. The angle of her lips was carefully designed, beautiful but also fake.

Qi Ze didn't respond, but looked at her intently, as if he was looking at another person through her. That look was full of nostalgia.

Jiang Rao didn't have time to waste with him. She wanted to go home, pack her things, and then find a house.

The corridor outside the dance room was winding. When Jiang Rao passed by Qi Ze, she deliberately leaned towards him. The dancing hem of her dress brushed against his lapels. Qi Ze smelled a subtle fragrance, sweet and cold, with a sense of distance, which was completely different from the day they seduced each other in the bar.

When they were about to pass each other, Qi Ze suddenly said, "You've lost your fans!"

The expression on Jiang Rao's face cracked for a moment.

"You dance well!" Qi Ze praised. "Have you learned it?"

"I've learned it for many years." Jiang Rao puffed out her chest proudly.

"Blocked me?" The topic jumped too quickly and Jiang Rao didn't get it.

"It was just a slip of the hand."

Not wanting to expose her little tricks, Qi Ze asked, "Are you playing hard to get or are you trying to climb up the social ladder?"

Jiang Rao was very close to him, so close that not even the slightest expression on his face could escape Jiang Rao's eyes.

He was anxious, and Jiang Rao made a conclusion and asked him, "So... did it seduce you?"

"It's still a little off."

Jiang Rao was speechless, unable to find the right words to refute.

She was furious and bumped into him suddenly when she walked over. Qi Ze was not affected by her attack. He just dodged her and his steps deviated.

When he turned his head to look at her again, Jiang Rao also tilted her head, looked at him, and smiled provocatively.

"Goodbye."

After saying that, Jiang Rao turned around gracefully, stepped over the threshold, and plunged into the world.

Qi Ze touched her shoulder, which seemed to still carry her warmth, burning hot, and he suddenly smiled.

He admitted that Jiang Rao had amazed him with her dance just now.

Qi Ze was not distracted by this little episode. When he came to his senses, he saw Qi Chen leaning against the door of the dance studio, and he didn't know how long he had been watching.

The two brothers met again after three years, but there was no warmth, only indifference.

It was Qi Chen who spoke first, "I saw that you were worried, so I didn't disturb you."

Qi Ze also did his best to save face, "Brother."

"Do you know that woman just now?" Qi Chen asked.

"Not really." Qi Ze changed the subject, "Dad asked me to ask you to come home for dinner."

Qi Chen laughed, "Dad, you're so stupid. You could just call me instead of making me go all the way here."

"It's not hard. You just returned to China. It's what you should do." Qi Ze also smiled.

Qi Ze felt tired. Born into that family, he looked bright and beautiful on the outside, but in fact, there were festering sores on the inside.

Three years ago, Qi Chen ran away in anger, causing a stir in Beijing circles. Three years later, Qi Chen returned to China, rumors spread, and families were eager to make a move. Qi Ze's mother was also worried, and she repeatedly warned him, both openly and secretly, to be careful of Qi Chen. Why? To compete for family resources and to divide up the old Qi family fortune.

Qi Ze smiled coldly and restrained his expression, "Since the message has been delivered, I will withdraw first."

"Okay, you're busy." Qi Chen's face was calm and the smile in his eyes was faint.

They exchanged courtesies and spoke in a very measured manner, and you wouldn't tell they were a family.

Just when Qi Ze was about to walk out the door, Qi Chen said something seemingly unintentionally.

"That woman's name is Jiang Rao?" He paused and added,

"She and Wanqing are quite similar. They both studied classical Chinese, right?"
