Chapter 32 He Lied
In the end, Qi Ze lent her his cell phone.
Jiang Rao took the phone and dialed 120 first. After informing the other party of the location where You Qin fell, she returned the phone to Qi Ze.
To Jiang Rao's surprise, she thought Qi Ze's phone would have a lot of fancy apps, and at least the wallpaper would be the kind of beautiful woman pictures that vulgar men tacitly viewed.
I didn't expect his phone to be so clean, even the wallpaper was a simple black and white color.
Half is bright, half is hidden in the dark, cutting the screen wall clock into two halves.
The two were silent for a moment, with only the sound of the car driving on the asphalt road.
Jiang Rao and Qi Ze both sat in the back seat. Jiang Rao sat by the window, far away from Qi Ze. She opened the car window and the evening breeze blew in. Jiang Rao shrank her neck. She was shivering with cold but stubbornly did not close the window.
Qi Ze tilted his head to look at her, and saw that she was leaning her elbows on the car window, and her profile was also pleasing to the eye.
"Not cold?"
"good."
"Does your foot still hurt?"
It was rare to see Qi Ze care about her. She tilted her head to look at Qi Ze and said, "It hurts."
Her eyes were watery, as if soaked in a pool of affectionate spring water.
"It hurts? Then just bear with it." Qi Ze ignored her seduction.
Her coquettish behavior was ignored, and Jiang Rao really wanted to slap herself twice to make her act like a humiliator again.
Qi Ze, on the other hand, was in a good mood at the moment. He leaned back in his chair and chatted with Jiang Rao in a casual manner.
"Why save You Qin?"
"He's there, and someone has to clean up the mess."
"What's a security guard supposed to do? Why would you have to worry about this?"
“What if security was lax and didn’t see it?”
"That can only be blamed on his bad luck." Qi Ze's eyes were indifferent, his tone was also indifferent, so cold that he didn't seem like a human being.
Jiang Rao felt that chatting with him was like talking to a deaf person.
But, I still have to explain, "He has a bad fate, but I am fine? If he dies, I will be the one to go to jail!"
Jiang Rao said this, then changed his mind and asked, "If he died, would you testify for me? Accuse me of manslaughter."
Jiang Rao didn't know why she wanted to make such an assumption. It might be a whim, or maybe her ankle was hurting too much and she wanted to divert her attention.
"It depends on my mood."
It was this sentence again. Jiang Rao knew that sometimes she was stupid and actually asked Qi Ze such a question.
But she still didn't give up.
"Will you identify me then?"
Qi Ze stared at Jiang Rao for a few seconds and smiled, "No."
Jiang Rao finally breathed a sigh of relief. After all, they had slept together before, so he wouldn't be so heartless.
Then Qi Ze added, "I find it troublesome."
Jiang Rao had long been accustomed to his fluctuating moods, and after seeing it so many times, she was no longer surprised.
She closed her eyes and pretended to sleep. After a while, the car stopped at the hospital.
Wen Feng opened the car door for Jiang Rao. Jiang Rao was not the kind of person who would suffer for the sake of face.
She smiled at Wen Feng and said, "Excuse me, lend a hand."
Wen Feng did not refuse, but was about to extend his hand when Qi Ze stopped him.
"I'll do it."
Qi Ze spoke, Wen Feng retreated quietly, and Jiang Rao's fingertips just touched Qi Ze when Qi Ze pulled her with his big hand and held her sideways.
A standard princess hug.
The hospital also has privileges. Thanks to Qi Ze, Jiang Rao didn't have to wait for the hospital to register and had the green light all the way.
The doctor held Jiang Rao's feet, and Qi Ze stood by waiting for her. Jiang Rao felt that the old doctor, wearing a pair of reading glasses, was very cautious and treated Jiang Rao's feet as some precious object.
The final conclusion was that fortunately her muscles and bones were not injured. She was just prescribed some medicine for bruises and injuries, and a nurse was called to bandage her foot. She was told not to do strenuous exercise for two months.
Although Jiang Rao felt pain when the nurse bandaged her, she didn't react much.
But when Jiang Rao heard the nurse say that she couldn't do strenuous exercise for two months, she cried.
It was the kind of soft sobbing. It was the first time Qi Ze saw it. It turned out that human tears could fall drop by drop.
Qi Ze was about to leave, but when he heard Jiang Rao crying, he turned around and took a piece of paper and gave it to Jiang Rao.
He showed rare compassion and sat with Jiang Rao in the ward for a while.
Jiang Rao stopped crying, looked up and saw that he was not leaving, sobbing, "Why don't you leave?"
Qi Ze met Jiang Rao's eyes. There were traces of tears on her face and the tip of her nose was red. Qi Ze suddenly remembered the Garfield cat he raised when he was a child. When it was unhappy, it would pout and turn its back and ignore people.
Qi Ze's heart moved.
He lied.
"Just left."
