Chapter 37 Lu Qing suddenly collapsed onto the table without warning, her mind...

Without warning, Lu Qing collapsed onto the table, the sound of her head hitting the surface no less loud than the sound of a pestle falling.

Both Luo Yuan and his son were startled by her, and upon closer inspection, they found that Lu Qing was already unconscious.

Luo Yuan quickly had someone invite Qi Wu over. Qi Wu examined Lu Qing and his expression turned somewhat grim. "I'm afraid we'll have to send her back to the Western Wilderness."

Luo Yuan was taken aback. "At this time?"

Qi Wu nodded.

Lawson looked at his parents, puzzled. "Is Auntie really sick?"

Having grown up in Medicine King Valley, he was well-versed in medicine and medicine, and was no match for ordinary difficult diseases, medicinal properties, and medical principles. Some so-called famous doctors outside might not even be as good as him.

Lawson was inevitably somewhat arrogant.

For the past six months, he'd spent every day with Lu Qing, and she was always lively and energetic; he'd never suspected she was ill. This sudden turn of events was hard for him to accept. "What exactly is wrong with Auntie?"

Qi Wu smiled at him, "Aren't you always clamoring to go out and practice medicine to save people? But the patient is right in front of you, and you can't see anything."

Lawson's face turned red, and he couldn't say a word.

Luo Yuan pondered for a moment, then said, "Alright. Let's go to the Western Wilderness under the pretext of gathering herbs."

Lawson quickly whispered, "I'll go too."

Luo Yuan and his wife were silent for a moment, then looked at each other without saying a word.

"I'm a doctor too," said Lawson. "I need to find out what's going on!"

Luo Yuan laughed, "Good lad, then you can come along. Go pack your things, we'll leave first thing tomorrow morning."

Lawson nodded, then quickly left with a stern face.

Qi Wu's expression was complicated. "Going to the Western Wilderness is probably very dangerous. Maybe we should leave Sen'er behind."

Luo Yuan smiled, "If the little eagle cubs don't go out and fly, they'll never know how vast the world is. Besides, I'm here for you."

Qi Wu smiled and said, "Alright."

After saying this, Qi Wu went to the medicine storehouse and spent half a day making ten pills. He dissolved one of them in water and gave it to Lu Qing to drink. A short while later, Lu Qing woke up. "What happened to me?"

"I'm sick."

"Well?"

"You are truly ill. Human medicines are useless against you. We need to take you back to the Western Wilderness. Once we find the medicinal herbs to cure you, you will be fine. We will set off first thing tomorrow morning."

"What kind of illness is this? Why are all the medicines in the world useless to me?" Lu Qing's senses were still stuck in the state before she fainted.

Qi Wu tidied her disheveled hair. "Everyone has this problem when they first come to the human world. It's nothing serious. I haven't been back to the Western Wilderness for a long time. I'll take this opportunity to go back and gather some herbs, and also take Sen'er to see the world."

Lu Qing had some uneasy thoughts earlier, but upon hearing that Luo Sen was also going, she gradually relaxed.

After resting for a night, the group went to the cold pool in the valley early the next morning and boarded the small boat moored at the dock.

Luo Yuan threw something into the pool, causing the surface to churn. Suddenly, an iron chain hanging underwater from the bow of the boat tightened, and the small boat was pulled forward by something unknown, smoothly reaching the outer river channel.

Then Lu Qing felt herself being thrown backward uncontrollably, and the wind suddenly picked up, almost slapping her face. The small boat sped forward like an arrow, truly riding the wind and waves, racing across the river at breakneck speed.

Lu Qing stared in disbelief, gripping the edge of the boat with both hands. "Sister, what's going on?"

"The towing boat is Ran Yi, a kind of demonic beast. It has a gentle nature and can understand human speech." Luo Yuan sat at the bow, gesturing for her to look into the water. However, Ran Yi was only a faint shadow in the deep water ahead. When the river forked, Luo Yuan would tap the gunwale to the left or right, and Ran Yi would move accordingly, the small boat moving forward like a fish in the direction he pointed.

Not only had Lu Qing never seen such a strange thing before, but even Luo Sen had never known that such a being existed in Medicine King Valley. The curious duo often peered down from the bow of the boat, but they never caught a glimpse of Ran Yi's true face.

Ran Yi possessed immense strength and incredible speed. In just over a month, they traveled from the spring-like southern border to the vast snowfields.

However, the increasingly thick ice made it difficult for the ships to move forward.

Luo Yuan then had Ran Yi tow the small boat to shore.

After Lu Qing went ashore, she and Luo Sen squatted down by the water's edge, curious, wanting to see Ran Yi's true face.

Qi Wu laughed, "This guy is big and burly, but he's incredibly shy and doesn't know how to be presentable. He's too embarrassed to come out while you're all squatting here."

Sure enough, Luo Yuan dropped a pill down, and it disappeared in a splash. The two curious children didn't see anything.

Luo Yuan laughed and said loudly, "Tow the boat home."

A wave overturned the small boat, causing it to tilt and spin around, scraping against the ice with a creaking sound, like a kite being pulled by a shy child who was stumbling away.

Lu Qing and Luo Sen laughed so hard they almost fell over.

Lu Qing couldn't help but say, "I thought all monsters were terrifying."

Luo Yuan said meaningfully, "People always think that demons are terrifying, but aren't humans just as terrifying to demons?"

Lu Qing looked at him with a puzzled expression, feeling that Luo Yuan at this moment was somewhat different from the compassionate healer in Medicine King Valley.

Luo Yuan didn't say much. He took his beloved wife Qi Wu's hand, called out to the two of them, and followed closely behind them, walking into the depths of the snowfield.

When Lu Qing first opened her eyes, it was already spring or summer, and the Medicine King Valley where she lived was also a place where spring reigned all year round. Although she had seen winter in Fei Mu's memories, the hardship of walking on the snowfield in person was still unimaginable.

Wearing bulky winter clothes, I trudged through the snow, my steps uneven. Looking ahead through the cotton blindfold, all I could see was a vast expanse of white. I couldn't tell which way was which at all, and I kept sinking into the snow.

Enraged, Lu Qing howled, "Brother-in-law, why don't you fly on your sword?"

Luo Yuan spread his hands, "I'm a healer, and I've never learned how to fly on a sword. Besides, this vast snowfield is thousands of miles long. If we tried to fly on a sword, those idiots would be exhausted and still not be able to get out."

Qi Wu covered his mouth and laughed, but it was unclear what he was laughing at.

The initial excitement of Lu Qing and Luo Sen was completely worn away by the arduous journey. It wasn't until ten days later that Luo Yuan taught them how to capture some small, unformed demon beasts and how to make sleds for transportation.

This is so much fun! Although I often fell headfirst into the snow when I first started learning, the feeling of speeding across the snowfield was incredibly exhilarating.

Lu Qing and Luo Sen got into the fun and each caught a few monsters. The two of them then started racing a sled.

Perhaps because the monsters were more familiar with the roads of the snowfield, they stumbled less often and their pace quickened.

That evening, they passed through a canyon, with Lawson driving the sled at the front and Lu Qing following behind.

Just around a bend, a large silver net appeared out of nowhere, trapping all the little monsters and Lawson within it.

Lu Qing narrowly avoided it...
