Chapter 73 Coronation Important Guests of the Coronation Ceremony
"Who sent the letter? Is it urgent?" Darien didn't want to read it during his break, but he asked anyway.
"I'm sorry, Darien, I don't know who sent this letter. It flew in through the window, circled around the room, and when it didn't find anyone, it fell straight onto the table. It looked like it had fainted from anger." Leon replied.
Darien sighed and walked over to pick up the letter.
It was a letter from Princess Yolanda to him.
Princess Yolanda hadn't been to the Magic Shop for a long time, and no one knew how she was doing. Lady Mary, however, would occasionally reveal some of King Norman's recent progress: his personal hygiene was questionable, his temper was becoming increasingly irritable, and he had dealt with several of his guards...
Darien felt that Princess Yolanda should have made great progress.
Seville handed him a silver letter-opening knife, the red rose wax was picked open, and the letter inside was taken out.
Princess Yolanda said she would like him and Seville to be her important guests at her coronation on the 3rd of next month. However, she hopes to visit the city again before the coronation.
Darien certainly welcomed her arrival, but perhaps the timing of her visit was wrong, and the Plantagenet Gate was not open to her.
He had to write back to Princess Yolanda.
"Sevier, help me cut a piece of paper. I want to write a reply to Princess Yolanda." Darien said.
"What did Princess Yolanda write in the letter?" Seville asked casually as he took out a stack of paper and cut it.
"She invited both of us to her coronation, and she wanted to come here before the ceremony," Darien replied. "It's a little late today, so let's schedule an appointment for her tomorrow morning. After she finishes the garden, she can come here at that time."
"Princess Yolanda is amazing, and after the coronation, she should be called Queen Yolanda," said Sewell.
"What great news! This means I can collect my payment when we meet tomorrow." Darien was in a very happy mood.
Seville placed the cut letter paper on the table and considerately opened the ink bottle. The wizard dipped the quill pen and wrote two short sentences on the paper.
We are pleased to be your guests at your coronation. We can meet here tomorrow morning at 9:00 AM. Yours faithfully, Master Darion.
Darien put the quill back into the ink bottle, held the bottom of the letter paper and blew on it a few times to speed up the drying of the ink.
Sewell lit a candle and took out a wax seal and envelope from the drawer of the back cabinet. He put the wax block into a small spoon and held it over the candle to melt it slowly.
While waiting for the wax to melt, the ink is slowly blown dry.
Darien picked up the letter, folded it a few times, stuffed it into the envelope, and handed it to Seville to seal it.
Pour sealing wax on the seal, apply a little force when it is half solidified, put the seal on it, let it sit for a while and then remove it. A perfect gorse pattern will be sealed neatly on the opening of the envelope.
Darien picked up the envelope and examined it with satisfaction. "Very good, a perfect seal, just like this deal."
As Sewell put away his used tools, he asked, "Do we need to send the crows to deliver the message?"
Darien shook his head, pulled the candle that had just been heated and blown out over to him, and snapped his fingers lightly.
Bang!
The extinguished candle burned with a faint blue flame. Darien held the envelope close to it, and the blue flame devoured the letter without leaving any ash.
"Did you burn the letter for Princess Yolanda? Will it be picked up by others?" Seville asked curiously.
"The elves will deliver this letter to Princess Yolanda at the right time. Well, it's time for me to rest now." Darien stood up from his chair, stretched his body, and walked out without looking back.
The next morning, Princess Yolanda arrived on time.
"Long time no see, Princess Yolanda. I'm glad you meet me here." Darien simply nodded instead of greeting.
"I'm very happy too." Princess Yolanda didn't care about this. "I think without your help, it would be very difficult for me to realize my wish. So I really hope that you can sit in the most important seat at the coronation ceremony and participate in this ceremony."
"Of course we will go, but we will make some small changes to our appearance. You know, we have a lot of guests, and it wouldn't be nice for them to see us," said Darien.
"Thank you for your thoughtfulness. I had never thought of this. What names should I write on the invitations I give you?" asked Princess Yolanda.
"Hmm...that's a good question." Darien easily got into trouble when it came to naming.
"Then leave this matter to me." Princess Yolanda laughed softly. "Well, we have talked long enough, now it's time to pay the reward. You haven't told me what you need as a reward."
This was a very rare situation in the magic shop. Darien would usually first ask for the reward needed to fulfill the wish, but in the case of Princess Yolanda, he couldn't think of what he needed for the time being.
Princess Yolanda has a lot of things, including wisdom, courage, noble status, and other things worth exchanging. However, Princess Yolanda's wish cannot be fulfilled directly by him, so the matter of determining the reward was temporarily put on hold.
"Love. You need to pay me your love." said Darien.
Princess Yolanda and Seville looked over at the same time.
“I don’t quite understand,” Princess Yolanda said.
Sewell's eyes still didn't leave.
"I need all your future love. There will be warm and brilliant love in your life, even though it is a little impure. They love you, but as long as I take away your heart that responds to love, you will never have love again." Darien explained.
"What you want to take away is a part of my emotions, right? As long as it is love that has nothing to do with love, then other kinds of love can be born, right?" Princess Yolanda said.
"You are very wise," said Darien.
"You are very generous," Princess Yolanda said. "This is not a loss, but a gift."
"Sevier, bring me the contract and the heart-shaped potion bottle in the cabinet." Darien ordered.
Seville's gaze, which had been fixed on him all this time, finally left. He responded and left to go to the alchemy room upstairs.
"Darian, I have a somewhat personal question for you." Princess Yolanda leaned forward slightly.
Darien was very familiar with this gesture. When Lady Mary wanted to talk about something particularly personal and emotional, she would also make this seemingly concealing gesture.
"Go ahead," he said.
"Do you know that your assistant was glaring at me just now?" Princess Yolanda said, "Although he had a smile on his face, he was glaring at me. I felt it."
"I'm sorry that I haven't done enough to educate my assistant on etiquette." Darien frowned.
"Darian, I don't think you understand what I mean. He glared at me when you asked for my love." Princess Yolanda laughed. "Before this, I have never seen him behave rudely."
Her meaning was obvious enough, and Darien would be a complete idiot if he didn't grasp it.
Darien understood. While he was still organizing his words to try to convince himself and Princess Yolanda at the same time, Seville came back.
"The bottle you asked for." Sewell gently placed the glass bottle on the table.
Darien picked up the bottle and added some terms to the contract. After showing it to Princess Yolanda, he took away her love.
The process was very simple. The wizard held the bottle in one hand and raised the contract in the other. After a simple spell, pink light was introduced into the glass bottle from Princess Yolanda's forehead.
Her heart would never again be shaken by those who expressed their love to her.
"Is this okay?" Princess Yolanda looked at the glass bottle in front of her with some curiosity.
"Yes, want to see your love, this is the last time you have them." said Darien.
"Of course." Princess Yolanda took the small bottle and looked at it carefully.
After watching for a while, she suddenly laughed.
"Love is so beautiful, isn't it? I have taken away emotions and qualities such as wisdom, courage, integrity, etc. Only love can emit such a soft light." said Darien.
"It's certainly beautiful, but it's not a necessity," Princess Yolanda said, still laughing. "I wonder when the rule that the queen consort is actually the head of the dynasty will be abolished."
She would never allow anyone to share her power, so she poisoned her husband and became a wealthy widow.
“If you want to, you can do it,” Darien said.
"Thank you for your blessing, Darien. Can you sell a potion that can kill people without much pain? I hope it won't leave any traces. It's too troublesome to clean up." Princess Yolanda asked.
"How about dying in your sleep? It won't be too painful and it will be a beautiful dream." Darian said.
"Very good, I want this potion. How many gold coins does it cost?" said Princess Yolanda.
"This time it's given away for free as a coronation gift," Darien said.
"Thank you." Princess Yolanda was a little surprised, but still accepted the gift with a smile.
Sewell wanted to speak, but ultimately held back from saying anything like it was strange to use poison as a coronation gift.
"One of the materials, the sweet dream flower, is still growing. Can you wait a few more days? It still needs some time, but not too long. It will mature and bloom before the coronation ceremony." Darian said.
"Of course, I can wait. Then I'll leave first, see you next time." Princess Yolanda stood up. It was time to go back.
After Princess Yolanda left through the Plantagenet Gate, Darien handed the bottle to Seville and said, "Put it back in the herb cabinet. Forget it. Put it on the table in the alchemy room. I'll refine it into love powder today."
Sewell cleared the table and left with the bottle.
"Darian, why would you accept love as a reward? I think Princess Yolanda has other more valuable qualities." Leon, who had been silent, said in confusion.
"Because I'm running low on stock. I'm running out of stock to supply Lady Mary with her monthly love potion," Darien replied.
"Is it just like that?" Leon's tone was very surprised.
"What else can we do?" Darien said.
"Well..." Leon was speechless.
Darien sat in the store for a while and began to feel bored, so he decided to close the store temporarily and come back in the afternoon.
But often when this idea comes into mind, a customer will suddenly visit the store.
With a ding, Darien sat back down again on the side of his butt that had just been raised.
The person who walked in here was a man. He was a good-looking man with blond hair and emerald green eyes. He was a little surprised by this place, but he quickly hid his expression.
"Hello, I'm Darien, the owner of the Magic Shop. How can I help you?" Darien asked with a smile.
"Hello, I've heard of your name. The rumors say that you are a very reliable magician who can fulfill everyone's wishes." said the man.
"Sure, what can I do for you?" Darien said.
"Do you have a potion that can make people fall in love? I've heard of this potion. Or do you have any way to make someone fall in love with me?" the man asked.
"A bottle of love potion costs 100 gold coins. Each bottle can be effective for one month and can be used continuously. The only drawback is that when the effect fades, the user will become doubly disgusted with the user." Darien said.
"Then let's start with a bottle of love potion," said the man.
"We need to sign a sales contract first. You can take a look at it first. We can refund the potion under appropriate circumstances. Of course, we can also remedy the consequences of improper use." Darien pulled out a piece of magic parchment.
"Okay." The man came over and took the paper.
Darien rang the bell, letting Xavier in and telling him to get a love potion.
The man was hesitating over the parchment, so Darien asked, "Is there something you don't understand? I can explain it to you."
Hearing this, the man shook his head and said, "No, I just want to ask, do I need to write my real name in the signature area?"
Darien nodded. "Of course, using your real name will make the contract valid. If the contract is not valid, I can't sell the item to you."
The man said, "You will keep the guest's identity confidential, right? You won't tell anyone that I've been here or what I bought."
Darien nodded, "Of course, I have a strong work ethic."
The man no longer hesitated and signed his name at the last position.
Seville took the love potion originally intended for Lady Mary from the alchemy room, and Darien would go to the alchemy room later to fill this gap.
The man left after getting the love potion.
"Orlando, that's a familiar name. I seem to have heard it somewhere." Darien took a look at the contract as he picked it up.
"Both Lady Mary and Princess Yolanda mentioned this name," Sewell said. "He is Princess Yolanda's illegitimate brother, and he seems to have a good relationship with her."
