0055 Meal 2
The rose cake is exquisite; it looks more like a real rose than a cake, placed on a transparent crystal plate, beautiful and delicate.
Song Ning doesn't eat cake, so she didn't touch it, planning to take it with her later to avoid upsetting the chef.
She picked up a juice that tasted like alcohol and took a sip: "Why didn't you bring me here before?"
“This restaurant has two head chefs. This one is very influential and hard to hire.” Shen Yuxiu pushed the rose cake to Song Ning. “Try it. It’s not too sweet. He made it especially for you. Don’t let his kindness go to waste.”
How do you know it's not sweet?
Shen Yuxiu: "Before I came, he asked if I had any dietary restrictions. I said I couldn't eat sweets."
Song Ning then remembered that when the head chef introduced the menu to them, he did not ask about dietary restrictions, and most of the dishes today, including the special fruit juice, were not sweet.
"I don't abstain from all sweets. I don't mind the squirrel-shaped mandarin fish that Dad cooks." Song Ning took the cake and used a dessert fork to scoop out some cream to taste.
It's definitely not sweet; it's a smooth, light cream with a rose scent. It doesn't taste like cake, but more like roses, without the astringent taste of roses.
Shen Yuxiu hummed in agreement: "Indeed."
Despite the delicious cake, Song Ning only ate half a "rose" and then stopped eating it.
At the end of the meal, Enrico personally presented a bouquet of flowers as a parting gift.
Song Ning accepted the pale orange bouquet with delight and said gracefully, "This is the first time I've received flowers as a gift."
“This is a little bit of my own selfish reason,” Enrico winked playfully.
"What kind of flower is this? It's very beautiful." Song Ning held the flower in her hands, which still had a faint fragrance.
“Queen’s Day, the Holiday Princess Rose,” Enrico said. “It is said that in the Middle Ages, a queen noticed it in the marketplace and ordered that it be placed by her bedside every day so that she would feel happy every time she woke up to such a beautiful flower.”
He looked at Song Ning with bright eyes: "This flower is perfect for you."
“Thank you, Enrico. This is the best lunch I’ve ever had,” Song Ning replied with a bright smile.
Song Ning understood what Shen Yuxiu meant by "respecting but keeping a distance".
A handsome foreigner not only gives you flowers but also showers you with compliments. Anyone would be delighted. This chef is not only very good at winning a girl's heart, but even the way he looks at you with his deep blue eyes gives off a feeling of unwavering affection.
He's either a master of romance or a playboy. Song Ning made up her mind.
She turned her gaze to Shen Yuxiu and noticed that he had subtly raised his eyes, looking at Song Ning with a probing gaze.
Enrico was clearly pleased, his smile almost reaching his ears, but after seeing the cake Song Ning had left behind, he suppressed his grin: "Wasn't the cake good?"
"No," Song Ning said sincerely. "It's just that the food was so delicious that I was too full."
“Fine. Next time you come, I’ll design a menu just for you, and it will definitely be even more perfect than this one,” Enrico said with a smile.
“I’m really looking forward to it,” Song Ning replied.
When Song Ning and Shen Yuxiu left, Enrico insisted on seeing them downstairs.
As they went downstairs, Enrico continued to fawn over Song Ning until the three of them reached the bottom of the building and stood at the entrance.
Enrico shook hands with Shen Yuxiu, then leaned close to his ear and whispered something.
Shen Yuxiu roughly understood Enrico's temperament. He had no expression at first, so it was impossible to tell whether he minded his attentiveness. But after listening to Enrico's whisper, his eyes suddenly turned cold. He coldly said that he minded, put his arm around Song Ning's shoulder, and left.
Shen Yuxiu's actions were extremely possessive and somewhat domineering.
Song Ning, holding the flowers, turned her head, curious about what Enrico had asked that made him suddenly change his expression: "What did he say?"
Shen Yuxiu countered with a slightly raised tone: "The best lunch?"
"Didn't you say it's hard to get a date? Next time, beg me and I'll help you." Song Ning has always been flexible and adaptable. If she has her own goals, it's not difficult for her to win other people's favor appropriately.
Whether angered by Song Ning or Enrico, Shen Yuxiu took a deep breath and said, "You're not allowed to eat alone."
"You weren't this stingy before," Song Ning teased, secretly amused.
"Looks like you enjoyed the meal?" Shen Yuxiu looked at the flowers she was holding to her chest.
"Not bad." Song Ning stuffed the flowers into Shen Yuxiu's hand. "Now that I think about it, you've never given me roses."
Shen Yuxiu was hit by a shower of flowers and suddenly stopped.
Song Ning had already taken a few steps forward when she saw Shen Yuxiu stop and turn around to look at him.
Shen Yu, dressed in a long coat over a suit jacket, with broad shoulders and a narrow waist, stood in the bright sunlight holding flowers, asking with gentle eyes, "Which kind do you want?"
Song Ning was stunned. She had only meant to tease him, but now she suddenly really wanted it.
Song Ning replied, "The most rustic kind."
More than 30 minutes later, an orange bouquet was placed on the back seat of Shen Yu's car repair shop, while Song Ning held a bouquet of bright red roses.
The number of people in the theater was small, only a few at a time.
Shen Yuxiu and Song Ning sat in the middle row of the movie theater, two or three seats away from the people on either side of them, with no one in front or behind them. It was like being on a deserted island surrounded by a vast ocean, very desolate.
Holding the bouquet of flowers that the shop assistant had just delivered to the cinema, Song Ning asked, "How many flowers are in this bouquet?"
“52 flowers,” Shen Yuxiu leaned closer and whispered.
"That's so tacky." Song Ning's lips curled into a smile, her tone mischievous.
Shen Yuxiu seemed unconcerned by Song Ning's teasing, and simply chuckled softly.
A casual laugh drifted into my ears, like a spring breeze caressing downy feathers, making my ears tingle.
Song Ning turned her head abruptly, only to meet Shen Yuxiu's handsome face, who hadn't had time to back away.
In the dim light, a warm, soft sensation brushed past me, so light it felt like an illusion.
Their breaths quickened, their damp scents mingling on each other's lips. Song Ning unconsciously pursed her lips, the warmth of his touch still lingering there.
Song Ning leaned forward slightly, wanting to deepen the kiss, but Shen Yuxiu suddenly pulled back and awkwardly sat back down.
Watching Shen Yuxiu sit upright, his gaze fixed intently on the movie screen, Song Ning secretly complained.
What's going on? It's not like we're high schoolers dating, why are you being so innocent?
Song Ning turned halfway around, resting her chest against Shen Yuxiu's arm, and slowly rubbing her lips against his earlobe.
"Stop fooling around." Shen Yuxiu turned his head slightly, avoiding her increasingly unrestrained flirting.
Song Ning's ample bosom swayed against his arm, and she whispered in his ear at a volume only he could hear: "Shen Yuxiu, do you intend to become a Buddha?"
The movie was showing a nighttime scene. The theater was dimly lit, and Shen Yuxiu tilted his head, as if he were melting into the darkness. Only his dark eyes flashed with a few dark glints as the movie lights changed.
His voice was sexy and husky, with a lazy trailing tone: "Going home tonight, or going to play with cars? Choose one."
Her voice held a hint of seduction, a touch of amusement, and a hint of mockery, as if she were certain of her answer.
It wouldn't be a problem under normal circumstances, but she hadn't driven a car in a long time, especially a new one, which made her even more eager to try it out.
Song Ning gritted her teeth: "Just touch it once."
Song Ning leaned against him, her upper body leaning forward, her neck tilted back slightly, revealing her full, upturned lips, exuding obvious allure.
Shen Yuxiu lowered his eyes to look at her, making it hard to understand his meaning; one could only sense that the lines of his jaw were even more taut.
Song Ning didn't care whether he liked it or not, because he wouldn't do anything to her anyway.
Song Ning boldly tilted her lips upward, her delicate lips slightly parted, gently capturing his well-defined jawline, leaving an alluring lip print.
His breathing became heavier and his voice deeper. Song Ning's lips curled up, and his kiss became even more unrestrained.
Song Ning's lips slid down to his neck, feeling the strong pulse on the prominent veins, and after pausing several times, slid down to his slightly bobbing Adam's apple.
The movie flashed frame by frame, changing from night to day. The screen reflected a bright white light, illuminating the seats in the front row and also lighting up Song Ning and Shen Yuxiu in the middle row.
Song Ning kissed Shen Yuxiu's prominent Adam's apple, lifted his eyelids to look at him, and then discovered that his eyes were as deep as ink that could not be dissolved, and his gaze was both wicked and burning.
"Just a moment?" Shen Yuxiu asked in a hoarse voice, his Adam's apple bobbing on his lips.
Song Ning suddenly felt a strong urge, and before she could think about it, she stuck out her tongue and licked the protruding point of his Adam's apple.
Shen Yuxiu's body suddenly stiffened. Just as Song Ning was about to tease him about his composure, his chin was forcefully grabbed without any explanation.
A domineering and passionate kiss overwhelmed her, Shen Yuxiu's warm lips locking her firmly, his tongue probing into her mouth, sweeping through every nook and cranny.
The heavy breathing and the sensual sounds of lips and tongues entwined were particularly ambiguous in the intermittent film dialogue.
Song Ning felt a tingling sensation on the tip of her tongue from being licked, and a series of fine electric currents surged up her back.
Her fingers curled, the frosted paper of the bouquet making a rustling sound as her tongue, guided by him, actively circled and intertwined with his.
Four or five minutes later, Shen Yuxiu released Song Ning, his fingertips wiping away the saliva at the corner of her mouth, seemingly also calming his breathing.
Song Ning felt dizzy and lightheaded, her heart pounding wildly in her ears. The theater felt like all the oxygen had been sucked out, and the stuffy heat made it hard to breathe.
"Are you satisfied now?" Shen Yuxiu lowered his eyelids and looked at her in the dim light.
Song Ning licked her lips: "It's a bit long, but otherwise it's pretty good."
