While trying to keep up with Yin Han, Nan Sheng kept muttering anxious explanations, saying whatever came to mind, completely oblivious to the dark circles on Yin Han's face.
Yin Han couldn't hold back any longer. He walked straight into the pavilion in the garden next to the main courtyard, pressed Nan Sheng against a pillar, pinched her chin, and kissed her fiercely, sticking out his tongue to demand kisses.
Nan Sheng was startled by the sudden kiss. She stared wide-eyed, only able to see Yin Han's high nose and long eyelashes when his eyes were closed.
Seeing Yin Han so engrossed in the kiss, Nan Sheng, enduring the pain on her lips, wrapped her arms around his neck and responded.
Sensing her response, Yin Han seemed to kiss her even more forcefully. It was the first time Nan Sheng had experienced such a rough kiss from him. Slowly, she began to lose her composure and felt like she was going to stop breathing, but she still nestled obediently in Yin Han's arms without any struggle.
Just as Nan Sheng was struggling to breathe, Yin Han released her. Their foreheads touched, and they both took deep breaths.
Yin Han's deep eyes stared at the already swollen lips.
"Hanbao...are you...are you...angry?"
Nan Sheng asked the question haltingly, her breath coming in gasps. She wasn't sure herself; it had been a very long time since she had seen Yin Han angry.
Just as she was about to cautiously lean in and kiss him, she heard Yin Han's helpless voice: "Nan Sheng, I don't care about the past at all, why are you lingering on it? What am I supposed to do with you?"
