Chapter 36 A Strawberry-Flavored Kiss

When the two went outside, Nan Sheng noticed that the blush on Yin Han's ears and neck had not disappeared.

In her previous life, she had never been in love, let alone kissed anyone; the boy seemed even more innocent than she was.

Looking at the people ahead who were clumsy and awkward, I couldn't help but laugh. As if I had just been frightened, I quickly went to the kitchen, put the rice in the rice cooker to cook porridge, put on my clothes, and without saying a word, I pulled her out the door.

He let go of her hand as soon as they left, as if he wasn't the one who had just taken her hand.

Nan Sheng was displeased and suddenly stopped two steps away from moving forward.

The person in front seemed not to have heard the commotion behind them, and turned around with a puzzled look on their face.

"Why aren't you holding my hand anymore? You'll walk with me if you hold my hand, and I won't walk if you don't."

The boy found the girl's pouty act amusing, but he didn't say it. Even though she was wearing tights, he felt cold just looking at her and couldn't bear to see her standing there in the cold. So he immediately went up to her and took her hand.

In just a short while, the girl's hands were already icy cold. Yin Han frowned, took her hand, put it in his pocket, and left.

Nan Sheng felt that his hands were like a hand warmer. It was so amazing. He was wearing thinner clothes than her, so why were they so warm?

She couldn't imagine how comfortable it would be to sleep in his arms in this weather!

She's already starting to imagine!

"Yin Han, I came by bicycle, shall we go by bicycle too?"

While speaking, Nan Sheng had already wrapped her other arm around Yin Han's arm.

"No need, a taxi will do."

"Okay." Nan Sheng wanted to sit in the back seat, but then thought there would be many more opportunities in the future, so she decided against it. But taxis are so expensive! How could she avoid making Yin Han pay later? This was a big problem.

Yin Han noticed her disappointment and explained, "It's too cold, you won't be able to stand it later."

Sure enough, upon hearing this, Nan Sheng forgot all her questions and even offered an explanation! That's a huge improvement.

There was still a distance to go before they could reach the taxi stand. The two walked along the road in the dead of winter, where there were hardly any people, only cars whizzing by.

Nan Sheng didn't like how quiet she was when she was alone with Yin Han, so she started chatting with him in a disjointed way.

"Yin Han, did you save the porridge you just cooked for Grandma?"

"Um."

"Yin Han, why do you always not want me to go to work with you? I'm a good girl and I won't bother you. I just want to be with you. I came to Beicheng for you."

Yin Han's hand stiffened as he held hers. She said she came here for him. At first, he couldn't believe it, but lately, she seemed to be serious.

"It's not that I don't want to." How could he not want to? He was going crazy thinking about her every day, wanting her to be by his side all the time.

"Why is that?" Nan Sheng turned her head to look at him.

Yin Han dared not look into her overly bright eyes, turning his face away and speaking in an unnaturally gloomy tone: "Because you are too beautiful, everyone is looking at you, I don't want that." I just want to secretly hide away and look at you myself, I want to crush you in my arms.

"Ha! I knew it." Nan Sheng excitedly turned around and hugged him tightly, burying her face in his chest and rubbing against him. "I won't look at them. My eyes are only on you. If you still mind, I'll buy a mask to wear later, okay?"

Yin Han felt that things had really changed since she came to Beicheng, unlike anything she had ever done before.

Even when they were on good terms before, she never acted like this. Now, she would coax him, understand him, constantly act cute with him, immediately comfort him when she knew he was wronged, and keep throwing herself into his arms, telling him how much she loved him and missed him...

Yin Han loved Nan Sheng so much that he couldn't resist her charms and simply succumbed to her gentle embrace.

"Need not."

Although he minded, it wasn't the girl's fault that she was beautiful. He knew she would feel uncomfortable wearing a mask, and he believed her when she said she only had eyes for him.

The two got into a taxi. Yin Han gave an address, and fifteen minutes later, the driver stopped precisely. Nan Sheng had seen the QR code on the driver's seat before the car stopped, so she immediately scanned the code to pay. As soon as the car stopped, she slipped out without looking at Yin Han's expression.

"Yin Han, didn't you say you were going to work?" Nan Sheng looked around; this wasn't a car repair shop.

"Let's have breakfast first."

Yin Han took two steps and, seeing that the person hadn't followed, turned around and took her hand. She still didn't leave, looking at him with a mischievous grin.

Yin Han thought she had been presumptuous and had held hands, and awkwardly tried to let go, when she heard a voice that made her blush: "Yin Han, when we kissed, did you smell the strawberry scent on my breath? Why didn't you French kiss me?"

"!!!" Yin Han.

How dare they say that?

But my eyes were already unconsciously drawn to those pink lips, so pink and tender... making me want to get closer.

He felt that if he got involved... he would definitely be unable to resist kissing those lips raw.

"Are you still going to eat breakfast?"

"I'll eat! But I won't eat at this one!" Nan Sheng didn't even go into the restaurant; just seeing the sign of this tea restaurant told her it wasn't cheap.

She didn't want to burden the boy nowadays.

What would you like to eat?

Yin Han was glad that she had just taken out her backpack; the money inside should be enough to buy the girl breakfast.

Nan Sheng pointed to a small stall on the street: "I'd like to have soy milk and a pumpkin steamed bun, is that okay?"

Yin Han decisively refused. He understood that the girl had chosen this breakfast because of him, just like when she quickly paid for the bus fare and pretended not to look at him.

"No, that's not hygienic."

"No! I just want to eat this. I've never had it before. Just buy it for me! If you won't buy it for me, I'll go buy it myself!"

After Nan Sheng finished speaking, she was about to walk to the stall.

Yin Han grabbed her hand: "You'll feel unwell if you eat this."

He didn't want her to eat these things; a princess in a castle shouldn't eat like that.

"It's okay, it won't happen. Look, so many people have eaten it and they're fine. Besides, I've never eaten it before. Just let me try it once, okay?" Nan Sheng's eyes were pitiful, her lips were pouting, and her voice was as soft as could be.

Okay, Yin Han gave in.

"Wait, I'll go buy it for you."

Yin Han walked to the stall, bought two cups of soy milk and three pumpkin buns, and carefully put a straw in the girl's soy milk before handing it to her.

Nan Sheng took a bite of the pumpkin bun, then sipped her soy milk: "Delicious! This is just as good as any other place, much more convenient than restaurants."

Nan Sheng really started eating it bite by bite.

Yin Han didn't say anything, but silently walked to her side.

What a terrible meal! The steamed buns were too dry, and the soy milk was diluted with who knows how much water; it was terribly bland.

She can't stand the taste of it; her breakfasts are always exquisite and delicious.
