On the other side, Yin Han had just reached the entrance of the building when he heard a series of coughs. He quickened his pace and immediately took out his key from his pocket to open the door and go inside.
Li Xiaomei was lying in a rocking chair, covered with a blanket, her body trembling slightly as she coughed. Hearing the sound, she sat up: "Xiaohan, you're back. Grandma... cough cough... has cooked the food."
She was about to get up when Yin Han stopped her: "Grandma, didn't I tell you I'd cook it when I get back?"
After saying that, he poured a cup of hot water and handed it to Li Xiaomei: "Did you go out to collect bottles again today? The weather has been cold and windy lately. Just call me and I'll pick it up when I get home from school."
Yin Han spoke with concern, knowing that Li Xiaomei's bottles came from several stable shops.
Li Xiaomei took a sip of water, patted Yin Han's hand, and said with a smile, "Grandma's these are old habits. It's just that she's old and can't stay idle. Besides, it's not a big deal. Grandma knows what she's doing."
Seeing that Yin Han was about to speak, Li Xiaomei interrupted him, "Come on, let's eat!"
Yin Han had no choice but to give up.
During the meal, Li Xiaomei picked up food and gave it to Yin Han, saying, "Xiao Han, eat more. You should eat more at your age!"
"Um."
Yin Han swallowed his food: "Grandma, have you taken your medicine on time?"
"Got it! Don't worry!"
The old man and the young man chatted while eating, and finished quickly.
After cleaning up the mess and giving Li Xiaomei some instructions, Yin Han prepared to leave.
Just as he touched the doorknob, Li Xiaomei looked at his back and smiled kindly, saying, "Xiaohan, don't work too hard. Grandma will cook you a midnight snack tonight."
"Grandma, you don't need to cook me a midnight snack. I'm not hungry. Remember to take your medicine, and go to sleep when you're tired. Call me if anything happens." Yin Han turned around.
"It's alright. Make sure you get enough nutrition so you'll have the energy to study. Grandma's still hoping to see Xiaohan get into university!"
Yin Han frowned involuntarily, not understanding why her grandmother suddenly said such a thing. Before she could think about it, she heard, "Alright, hurry up and go. Come back early when you're done. I'll put the late-night snack on the pot over there."
Yin Han sighed softly, gave a low reply, and went out.
After Yin Han left, Li Xiaomei's coughing continued, even worse than before. She instinctively covered her hand with her hand and immediately felt her palm was wet. Upon closer inspection, she saw that it was covered in blood.
Li Xiaomei wasn't too surprised; it seemed to be expected. She shook her head, walked to the table, picked up the medicine Yin Han had just prepared for her, went into the bathroom, poured out the medicine, flushed it away with water, and then silently washed her hands before leaving.
After buying a computer, Yin Han quit his job at the food stall. Since the restaurant didn't need any part-time work, he didn't look for another job and only took on part-time work at the car repair shop.
He can't give up his car repair job yet. After buying a computer and a mobile phone, he's basically broke. He didn't care before, as it was enough to support himself and his grandmother.
Things are different now. A girl has come into his life, and he needs to give her a better life. That's not enough. The cakes she wants to eat, the restaurants she wants to go to, the dresses she wants to wear... these are his motivation.
Upon arriving at the auto repair shop, Yin Han approached Wang Dali and asked, "Where's the car?"
Wang Dali knew immediately that he had seen the message he sent. He understood and pointed to the race car that had just arrived not far away: "The client has very high requirements, and this car has just gone through a major race. The chassis is basically worn out. He wants it modified and repaired. I took a look, and let alone repair it, even I, as the boss, almost didn't understand it. I didn't dare to answer him immediately, after all, you haven't replied to me yet. You are the only top person here, so I told him to wait for news."
Yin Han didn't even glance at the request; his eyes were indifferent as he asked in a hoarse voice, "How much?"
Wang Dali was taken aback and didn't react. This was the first time he had heard this kid ask about money. Before, he would just do it directly.
"This customer is very generous! He said that as long as the repair is done and meets his requirements, no amount of money is a problem!"
"Okay." Yin Han responded and went to change his clothes, then took his tools and crawled under the car to inspect it.
Wang Dali knew immediately that he had it in the bag! His face beamed with joy; this was truly a treasure! However, this treasure belonged to him!
Overjoyed, he immediately opened his Meituan app and generously ordered a large meal to reward his employees.
A caring boss makes for a good employee – that's Wang Dali's philosophy.
Su Chuanlin, who was still angry, kept his mouth shut while driving, refusing to speak to Nan Sheng.
"Brother, are you really angry?" Nan Sheng poked his arm.
Hearing that soft, familiar "brother," Su Chuanlin's anger subconsciously subsided a bit.
"Hmph, I'm not your brother, I'm Su Chuanlin!"
"Oh, don't be like that. What's wrong with a kiss? We didn't do anything wrong. You know your sister, I used to love clinging to him. Now that I've finally realized my feelings, how can I resist them? You agree, right?"
Besides, I've already said that I can't live without him in this life. You know perfectly well that I'm heartbroken for him and love him to death, yet you still wanted to go up and hit him. Tell me, how could I not be agitated and anxious?
Nan Sheng patiently and earnestly explained the situation, making sure it was complete!
"That's one thing! Even if you like someone, it's not allowed! You're still a child! Besides..."
Su Chuanlin suddenly paused, seemingly because the little dog hadn't heard him say that he had already warned the brat. If he didn't know, he certainly wouldn't say it again, otherwise the little dog would definitely get angry with him.
